I just moved to a new town and new life. I am excited to meet new friends and can get out in a power chair. I hope to be working soon. I am still unpacking. I plan to live here a while. Less traffic... yippie. I am free to go where I want. Love it!

This may seem trivial considering the state of things, lately, but I wanted to share as it is finally a blooming fruit of a cacophony of turmoil that had previously boiled over. I got my green card. For those who aren't familiar with that term it means I am now considered a legal resident of my country. I've lived here for near 18 years, left the country on parole, and was in fear I would be barred reentry due to... Obvious reasons in the current political climate. It took a lot of convincing from my husband to be brave enough to take the leap. In any case, I married last summer and have been in a stressful back and forth on this ever since. It was, eventually, accepted. I'm so happy. Happier than I have been in a long time. Cried a bit, I did. Still got a long road to travel, but I've made my first camp. I've been taking steps to better myself and to feel as if I'm getting somewhere is the most rewarding result I could possibly ask for.

Kiddo, thank you for sharing your story. I am happy your legal and learned about the plight of so many in your situation. Now you can have a fresh beginning. I am happy that I have one too after 53 years. I hope the next chapter of our lives is good. Dream big! Never give up!

I had three days off in a row, and took a day trip out to the beach.

Spyro: Reignited, the Spyro 1-3 remaster, came out today. I love it. the game looks so gorgeous, and it's a pretty damn faithful remaster, despite Activi$ion having a hand in it.

I don't have children of my own yet, so I spoil my nieces when I can. I'm home very little because of work, but I facetime with then whenever possible.

The little face my eldest niece makes when she sings the alphabet makes me laugh and my heart swell ♥ she's 2 and fricking adorable. Plus she gives the best hugs.
