I have a problem.

I told myself to stop buying Magic the Gathering cards, because it's such an expensive hobby, but I couldn't help myself. Ixalan, the most recent set, has dinosaurs and pirates.

I had to. I've loved dinos since I was a kid, and pirates are just cool all around. The dino starter deck I picked up is damn close to how I like to run my stuff, too. It was a good haul.

Now to force my addiction back into its box...

As a Pepsi fan, I have become addicted to the 1893 black labeled can. I feel like it removes a lot of what people say they don't like about Pepsi, if you aren't a fan and haven't tried it out yet.

It was on sale 10 for $10 at my local grocery store :,) Guess what I did today?

Waking up and finally not having a headache for the first time in weeks.

I made homemade lasagna myself for the first time today!

It wasn't a giant mess, and it didn't kill anyone that ate it! Looked pretty damn good, too.

Needless to say, I'm proud of my awesome cooking skills

Going to the store to return something with no intentions of buying anything. Then realizing I've caught the holiday spirit and filling a cart with decorations and treats while my dad looked on with delight...and resignation (We had to carry everything home).

Working really hard for my job, and not expecting any sort of compensation or recognition and getting unexpectedly surprised and generously compensated for going the extra mile. Hard work pays off if you're working for the right group of people!

My mom came home with a gift for me from one of her client's daughters, who is a teacher that to this day I have never met, and the same person to buy my ridiculously pretty computer monitor. My mom brags on my constantly though, and says that she is this kind lady keeps up on my academic exploits. Well, I got straight A's this semester and my mom was of course tickled pink to tell her clients.

Long story short, I came home today to a 32GB iPad that someone I've never personally met bought for me because she appreciates my love of learning.

We got a new vacuum over the weekend and I spent most of last night and this morning playing with it :,) It feels good to have something that actually works, and throw out that other piece of ****.

New adventures unfolding is also a great feeling.

When i be far away from the house

When I move into my new apartment and receive the power wheelchair I ordered. Then I can go around the street corner and go shopping and explore. I am in tears thinking how wonderful having my life back will be. I will be with friends I have not seen in three years. I will still visit my retirement friends. I can't wait to make new ones.
