WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO THE ALL NEW CLOCKWORK'S KARAOKE LOUNGE
I'm your ever so gracious host, Clockwork Anonymous, and to kick off this shindig we'll be holding the first ever CLOCKWORK'S KARAOKE LOUNGE SINGING CONTEST! That's right boys and girls and those in between, here's your chance to show your stuff and shake what your momma gave ya for fame, glory, and riches.... and by riches we mean a one of a kind totally awesome limited edition T-shirt thanks to our sponsor, Creative Freedom RPG!
The contest is simple, all you have to do is sign up for one of the three categories offered, select a song, ANY song that fits that category, and record a video of you singing that song. Then you post it here for all the world to see! Top winners will be selected from each category by our panel of judges, and then pitted against each other in a super secret hidden catagory to really test their musical prowess! The overall winner will be voted on in a manner not unlike American Idol, that's right... from the finalists, we'll post a poll and your fellow memebers will vote for the video of their choice, therefore selecting the first ever
CLOCKWORK'S KARAOKE LOUNGE AMAZING SINGER!So now without further gilding of the lily, the Three categories are:
CountryAcceptable songs in this category will feature songs from prominent artists such as Alan Jackson, The Band Perry, Zac Brown Band, Garth Brooks, Clint Black, etc
Rock/PopAcceptable songs in this category will feature songs from prominent artists such as Fuel, Third Eye Blind, Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, Guns and Roses, Slayer, Ozzy Ozborne, Slipknot, Extreme, Lady Gaga, Pink, Christina Agulara, The Cranberries, the Strokes, etc.
Hip Hop/Rap/R&BAcceptable songs in this category will feature songs from prominent artists such as Eminem, TI, Will Smith, Alicia Keyes, Jessi J, Miles Davis, Frank Sinatra, etc
If your not sure where your song belongs, just ask, and I'll be sure to point you in the right direction! If a category doesn't have enough members to compete, it will be combined with another group for fairness.
All preliminary entries must be in by August 31st, 2011 giving everyone a little over 3 weeks to get their best game face on and give the performance of a lifetime! We wish you all the best of luck!
