Hello everyone! I'm Ayame, your friendly neighborhood vixen, here to mess with your hea... Ahem. Make friends. Yes, that's what I meant to say. I might be the new kid on the block, so to speak, but I'm not at all new to writing. I've been doing it for, well, most of my life. And I started roleplaying at a young age as well. My sister and I would talk to each other, creating fantastical stories together from the ripe old age of, well, whenever I learned to talk. What can I say, we were strange children. In more ways than one... But I finally combined my love of writing and roleplaying and first joined a forum site about 12 years ago. Like everyone else, I'm sure, my first attempts were a bit feeble, but I like to think I've grown a lot as a writer since then. I've written on various sites over the years, and left quite a few, for various reasons. Sites shutting down, not finding partners, bad leadership, etc. Whatever the reason (I won't specify), I was in the market for a new site, and stumbled across your little corner of the interweb. It seems like a cozy place, so I figured I'd settle down for a bit and see what y'all are all about.
Oh, but this is the part where you want to learn more about me, isn't it? Well for starters, despite my screen name, I happen to be white as rice. But I absolutely love Japanese culture, and I'm hoping to get some threads started with that theme. Other than that, I'm a snarky, sarcastic, 22 year old baker from Houston, Texas. I love reading, writing (of course!), strategy games, anime, and a whole bunch of other things that I seriously doubt you'd care about. My writing preferences run more along the lines of fantasy and action/adventure, with long post, multiple characters, and a whole lot of character development. So yeah. Some hopefully fun things.
Oh, I also have several health issues. Chronic migraines and insomnia, temporal lobe epilepsy, and a host of joint and connective tissue problems, to be exact. Now, I don't say that to get sympathy- far from it. But it often affects a lot of my online time, so I generally like to get it out there.
But anyway, I can practically hear you screaming that my introduction is too long, so I'm going to go ahead and end it here by saying that I look forward to meeting all of y'all
