Name: Seren

Age: Unknown

Lore of Magic: Ashif, Alorn (air)

Weapon(s): Staff, battle fan, dagger

Appearance:
Image

Personality: Seren is very animated. In general, she is very flirty and kittenish, but if she is angry or upset, she doesn't hesitate to show it. Her face pretty much always gives away how she feels, whether she is fuming, pouting, smiling, or otherwise. She is a very honest and straightforward person, speaking her mind and giving her opinion without reserve. This is true in pretty much all cases. She will tell you if she is ****, or if she disagrees with you, and she'll flirt shamelessly if she finds you attractive. In general, she doesn't hold back. Just just does what she feels like doing. She can be brash at times, saying and doing things without thinking, but she is well meaning. At the end of the day, she is a very loyal and caring person.

Bio: Seren grew up an orphan on the street. She doesn't remember her parents, only the orphanages and the streets where she spent most of her time. Like many others, she was found on the streets at the age of seven and taken in by the Phoenix guard. She was very happy to be a part of them, a part of something. She did, admittedly, let it go to her head a bit, finally having some meaning, some purpose. Finally being above all those who looked down on her all of her life. Still, she never really flaunted her power.

Being the friendly person she is, she made quite a few friends right from the beginning. She wasn't a natural like some, so she had to train hard, which was difficult for someone like her who was easily distracted, especially when there were cute guys around. Still, she gave it her all and when the time came, she passed her trials, becoming a Phoenix Guard. She was gifted with the Lore of Ashif and the element of air. After this she continued to train, eventually becoming one of the stronger members of the Phoenix guard, valued for her healing magic, as well as her skill with air magic.

Name: Ignius

Age: Unknown

Lore of Magic: Ungol, Alorn (fire)

Weapon(s): Scythe, sword

Appearance:
Image

Personality: Ignius of known to be a bit of a sourpuss. He has a badmouth and is rather ill-tempered, but in the end, he isn't actually a bad guy. He actually cares a great deal more than you'd ever know. He is very protective of those who have earned his trust and affection, hard though it may be to get to this point. He can be downright scary if someone hurts those he cares about. Unfortunately, it's difficult for many to know where they stand with him, as he is still blunt and tactless, even if it hurts, to his friends. The edge is taken off, as his intention isn't to hurt, but it's a subtle difference that many may miss.

He seems rather brash at times, seeming to jump into battle without thinking. He does, however, have a good mind for strategy, he simply tends to come up with a plan as he goes rather than taking time to come up with a plan that may change anyways. He is rather brash in his personal life as well, tending to say what he thinks without reservation, never really thinking about the repercussions of his words or actions. He is very irritable, often losing his cool rather easily.

Bio: Ignius was born in the Grand Republic of Isri, but his family moved to the capital of Ar Dornast when he was a young child, both for their own advancement, and in hopes that he would chosen at one of the events held to find children who may bit a fit for the relatively newly formed Phoenix Guard. He was groomed by his parents for this, as well as to become a scholar, should he fail to be chosen. He knew, or perhaps should have known, that his parents were well-meaning, wanting him to succeed in life, but he grew frustrated with being told who and what to be, rather than allowed to choose his own path.

Shortly after his seventh name day, he was taken to a live event being held by the Phoenix Guard. His parents' wish was granted when he was deemed to have potential and chosen to join. They were, of course, sad to see their son go, but they were proud nonetheless. Ignius, on the other hand, didn't know how to feel. It was an honor sure. The Guard was cool. They were powerful and all the kids wanted to be one. Still, he hated being bossed around.

During his training he was a bit of a trouble child, mouthing off and getting himself into trouble, but outside of his obvious personality flaws, he was everything they had hoped he'd be. He was strong, he was intelligent, and he was driven. A bit angry and mouthy, but full of potential. It was fitting that, after surviving the trials, the Lore of Magic he was gifted with was Ungol, as well as the element of fire.

During his years in the Phoenix Guard, and eventually the Rangers, his temper and abrasiveness never seemed to go away. Regardless, he continued to grow stronger, even bonding with a few other Rangers, though he still hesitated to let them get close to him.

Name: Kai

Age: Unknown

Lore of Magic: Vormal, Alorn (earth)

Weapon(s): Sword, gauntlets

Appearance:
Image

Personality: Kai is a very earnest, kind, compassionate individual. He is basically the opposite of his brother. He is very calm, level-headed, and somewhat sensitive. He is nice to pretty much everyone, making him rather popular. He shares his brother's protective nature, hating to see anyone he cares for hurt. The difference is that he hates all injustice and hates seeing anyone hurt, so his protective nature extends beyond those close to him, although he is much more protective of those individuals that he cares for. He is usually seen as sweet, gentle, kind, and friendly. Unlike his ill-tempered brother he is rather mild-mannered.

Bio: Kai, like his brother, was born in the Grand Republic of Isri. When he was still young they moved to the capital Ar Dornast for his father's career, as well as hoping that their two sons would be chosen to be a part of the Phoenix Guard, once they were all enough. The two boys were groomed for this, as well as trained to be scholars like their father, should they fail to be chosen. When Kai was six, Ignius was taken to the live event, where he was chosen by the Phoenix Guard. This was a very exciting day for their family, especially their parents, who were very proud of their son, even if they would miss him. Ignius wasn't as excited as one might have expected, which confused Kai, who not only idolized his brother, but thought that the Phoenix Guard were amazing. Even if his parents hadn't desired this path for him, he would have chosen it himself, so unlike his brother, he didn't resent their guidance.

The next year was rather difficult for Kai, who had a hard time without his brother. He spent the majority of his time training or studying, devoting himself to being chosen when his time came, wanting desperately to be reunited with his brother, as well as be a part of the group he so idolized. Before he knew it, his seventh name day came and went and it was time for the next live event. Like his brother, he was taken to the event and offered to the Phoenix Guard, and like his brother before him, he was chosen. Letting him go was a bit harder for his parents, but they did so nonetheless.

After being chosen, he devoted himself fully to his training in order to be ready to face the trials when he reached his eighteenth name day. This time passed more quickly than he had imagined it would and when the time came, he faced his trials and passed them. The Lore of Magic he was granted was Vormal, along with the element of earth. He was incredibly excited and proud of his accomplishments, but he didn't let it go to his head. Instead, he continued to devote himself to his training and becoming the best he could be. He eventually rose through the ranks, eventually having the opportunity to lead others in battle. This was both and honor and a curse for the kind-hearted man. It hurt him greatly when those under his command died. Even so, he never gave up, instead striving to be better so that he could do his best to protect them. This continued even after the second Ruinic invasion, after they became known as the Rangers, and into the invasion of the Varricus Imperium.

Name: Yue Medya Estivale
Nickname: Ice Princess (Generally to **** her off)
Age: Appears to be in her 20s
Lore of Magic: Vormal and Alorn (Ice)
Weapon(s): Generally carries twin short blades on her back. Is also capable with a shortbow.
Appearance:
Hair: Blonde hair, generally tied up.
Height: About 5'4"
Weight: Around 110lbs.
Eyes: Bright light blue
Skin Tone: Pale
Image

Personality: Courageous, strong hearted, amusing at times, overprotective, respectful, easily jealous, and a perfectionist.
Yue is a natural leader who does not stand down from a challenge which can sometimes be her greatest power or her weakest point, especially when it comes to protecting others. Yue tends to focus all her attention and actions with protecting and keeping others safe, especially when they are unable to do so themselves. She also has a tendency to care greatly for strangers, especially children which makes her a prime target at times to be tricked.

She finds that being amusing has it's joys and feels that everyone should have a moment of peace to enjoy in silliness and humor, but is not actually any good at it most of the time and people end up mostly laughing at her, not with her. She also knows at times that humor could do more harm than good and constantly seems to switch between a short laughter and a serious scowl depending on the situation.

When it comes to how she performs, everything must be perfect. Of course, she's never been perfect but that doesn't stop her from trying!

Bio: Born to human parents in Riveria, she grew to be a strong and capable woman treated as equal in her home. She could beat down any challenge in her way and was well known take on challenges twice her size when she was still so young. There were rumors that her family was previous related to the royalty of Riveria before the Zeldorean Empire was created but all claims were squashed when she joined the Phoenix Order.

It was no surprise that when she joined was given the gift of Lord of Vormal, having a strong protective nature and a natural instict to lead but was also gifted with a very weak ability to the water element power of Alorn. She tried her hardest to train and grow her elemental abilities but could never seem to develop them any further. Being a woman outside of Riveria was also quite different for her, as some of the men even in the Phoenix Order would treat her quite differently than she was used to and found at times that she had to prove her worth more times than not. Her weak elemental ability did not help in those situation and for a time she became helpless in the fact that she could not grow stronger with her abilities anymore.

However during her time in the Phoenix Order she came in contact with the element of aether on accident. It almost felt like she was guided there by a helping hand, telling her which way to turn. When she came upon the aether everything for her changed. Giving her the ability to transform her elemental water ability into the ice which seemed to have grown her abilities even more. Her time after changed immensely and she became well known in the Phoenix Order until after the fall of the Zeldorean Empire, where she stayed with the Rangers and moved to Elarcrai only to lose most of her members in the coming years and in the disaster that followed.

Please let me know if you need me to change anything. I had this idea pop into my head but I didn't know if it was alright with you to have her find an aether as well.

Name: Ithilnaur Silverblade

Age: Immortal, Appearance - 25

Lore of Magic: Lores of Tyrol and Alorn (Fire)

Weapons: Elthalion - The Dauntless-Star: Elven longsword gifted to Ithilnaur for helping the Elves in their defense of Elacrai and the Shadow Forest from Dark Ones. This blade has a permanent silver sheen to it from which Ithilnaur carries his last name now. It is used as a focus for calling upon the Lore of Tyrol with less strain, but only in cases dealing directly with starlight...hence the blades name. It is twice as light as any normal blade of the same size and class - which allows Ithilnaur to wield it with greater agility and accuracy, but the blade is also twice as stern in endurance, and can never dull. Elven Longbow which has no real special properties other than enhanced range and accuracy as all Elven bows do. In case of being disarmed, Ithilnaur also carries a kukri dagger for extra protection...or for carving things when needed.

Appearance:
Height: 6' 4.5"
Weight: 196 lbs.
Hair: Silvery-white
Eyes: Emerald
Skin Tone: Elven-Fair (though he is no Elf)
Build: Sleek, powerful, agile
Marks: A crescent moon upon the center of brow wreathed in a silvery blue fire.
Attire: Ithilnaur usually wears a light silvery chainmail also gifted from the Elves for his services over the many years. It holds no true special properties other than it can take three times the damage of most armors of the same category, and weighs about half as much. Over this is usually worn an emerald surcoat displaying a silvery moon arrayed in fire. Around his waist is a silvery belt, and carries the scabbard for his blade: Elthalion on his left hip. Attached to this belt is his money pouch, another pouch containing healing herbs, and a kukri dagger. An emerald cloak also drapes over his shoulders complete with a hood, and is decent enough to keep him dry and warm in wet and cold weather. His fiery moon symbol is displayed on the back of the cloak, and pinned by a similar silvery broach. Under his cloak is a quiver of Elven blessed arrows with the quiver pointing over his right shoulder for easy access. The quiver carries 30 arrows. Excellent black leather boots adorn his feet both for protection, long journeys, and comfort.

Personality: Ithilnaur is a fairly quiet individual for the most part, but he has been known to speak out when the need arises. Even then, he has never been known to shout or raise his voice - less it be in the line of duty calling orders to soldiers in battle. He has a strong commanding presence, and is known for his faithfulness, courage, and perceptiveness. He believes in the Rangers, but his mood has grown more solemn since the devastation for the second time of the Order he serves. Ithilnaur cannot abide the presence of evil - especially those serving the Dark Ones. His quiet hatred for such foes burns within him, and such comes forth when he calls forth his talents in Tyrol and fire from Alorn. Unlike some of his comrades who channel such powers; Ithilnaur's fire has always been of a blue color - perhaps signifying the burning rage in his soul and heart for those who serve the Darkness. At his very core, he does have a rather romantic spirit, but this has never once come out in all his years of life. This could be simply that no woman has gained his attention, or that he is entirely too focused on his duty to the Rangers. Should it ever be brought out of him; Ithilnaur would no doubt make a fantastic and loyal companion. He does not shy away from battle, but he is also not reckless. Indeed, he uses the terrain and situation to his advantage...rarely taking the field without knowing the lay of things. He takes in tactical details swiftly...a a gift he has held for over a century, and has been known to size up a battlefield in seconds.

Bio: Ithilnaur was born 196 year ago, but his name was hardly that of those Humans around him. For reasons unclear, his name came from the language of the Elves - meaning Moon-fire. None know why he was given such a name, but his parents were never able to tell him in any case. They were slain by Dark Ones when he was only three years old, but a Ranger found and rescued the young boy from a similar fate. Alhandra brought him back with her to the last Elven city where the Rangers now resided in its defense: Elacria. It is here he was raised among the rest of the Rangers and the Elves whom had become their allies. Strangely enough, though as he grew he believed in the cause of the Rangers - he found himself closer to the Elves. His life was not an easy one as Alhandra ever pressed him to be ready to join the Rangers...teaching him and pushing him hard. Sadly, the majority of the knowledge was lost in the fall of the Empire when the capital had fallen to the various factions after the assassination of the last Emperor: Regulus X. Thus what Alhandra and the rest could do for him when he joined them was small compared to those who had been truly trained in the tower. However, his fate did not rest solely in the hands of the Rangers who taught him.

The Elves found him different...unique among even the Rangers as he began his training. It seemed to them that he loved more their realm than any other they had met outside of their own people. Indeed, instead of the other powers the Rangers worshipped or followed - Ithilnaur had long followed the wisdom and ways of the Goddess Sapphira - the deity of the Elves. Strange as this was, Ithilnaur grew in his training and faith both in the Rangers and in the Goddess he served. When at last he completed his training; it was to be invited into the moon grove where the Elves worshipped Sapphira. Here, Ithilnaur found himself bathed in moonlight - surrounded in what seemed to fire blessed from the very moon itself. What the Rangers in the tower long ago went through to gain their gifts; he acquired from Sapphira's blessing that night. In this way was he able to obtain the two gifts which he would use to serve the Rangers and Elves: Tyrol and Alorn. The gift of starlight which came from Tyrol was his main focus and ability, but from Alorn he gained the ability to focus the raging inferno into fiery spells to strike out at his foes. From that day forward, Ithilnaur was branded by Sapphira with her crescent moon wreathed in a silvery blue flame.

Battles came upon him as the various tasks and trials of the Rangers were now his as well. Quests they were all given to destroy an incursion or lair of the Dark Ones and their allies. These he went on gladly, but he never went into battle without understanding and watchfulness. The Rangers were in trouble...he knew this. Tactics had been one of the things he had learned in his training from the Rangers, and thus he never charged wildly into battles. He learned to read the terrain, the situation, the way an army was moving, and he learned to read it swiftly. Of all his gifts, this one he perhaps sharpened the most. Tactics and strategy came easily to Ithilnaur, and he put them to good use. There were times in battle when he would have been sorely outnumbered, but it was his wits that kept him and his companions alive. It was one such moment when he returned to the Elven city to find it under dire threat from a doomsday cult. Enraged, he surged into the battle with his small group of six other Rangers, and swiftly devised a plan to deal with the troublesome fools. It wasn't long before Ithilnaur had brought his small squad in undetected against the enemy flank even as the enemy was preparing to breakthrough one of the secondary gates. His small band caught this group of doomsday people completely by surprise. It wasn't long before they had secured the gate, and gave the Elves the respite they needed to reinforce it. From there, Ithilnaur led his small group to continue leading forays against any people trying to reinforce the enemy force. His harassment tactics allowed the city to stand against the cult. For this day, the Elves rewarded him with one of their own longbows...blessed by the moon.

Another of his great moments was when he helped the Elves defend the moon grove personally from a couple of the Elves own people. These particular young Elves had decided to enter the grove and burn it, but Ithilnaur personally defended the grove alone against the incursion...killing all, except one. The Elven clerics sternly investigated the remaining Elf, and found that she had been somehow captured by a powerful Ruinous One. In her capture, she had been broken and twisted to serve their purpose. The Elves took her to one of their hidden places within Elcaria, and she was never seen again. For his actions in defense of the grove; Ithilnaur was given an Elven longsword blessed by the power of Tyrol. The blade was lighter and better than most other weapons; though there were still better and more ancient swords Elthalion it was named: The Dauntless-Star in the language of the Elves. This particular blade had the power to aid the wielder in calling upon the power of Tyrol - and thus cause less strain on the one calling upon the power of starlight. With this, he was given better set of chainmail forged by the Elves, and thus was he so armed when just two days later - the order came.

The Enemy had returned...in force. Coming from the Varricus Empire were legions of warriors with excellent training, and these people served the Ruinous Ones. With Zeldor now divided for the last four hundred plus years; the strength repel such a force was now gone from the land. The people were simply too divided to make any kind of true attempt at dealing with the invading force. Thus, it fell to the Rangers, and under their leader: Vulcan, the remaining 2000 Rangers were led to throw the invader back into the sea. From the very beginning, Ithilnaur had his doubts about how this battle would go. The enemy force was massive...to massive to be met out in the open. He attempted to warn Vulcan, but the leader of the Rangers scoffed at his caution. As a result of this difference of opinion; Vulcan decided to keep Ithilnaur out of the main charge...forcing the younger Ranger to stay back with a few others to guard the rear. Ithilnaur obeyed, and watched the battle unfold. At first, the Rangers seem to have the upper hand. Their power on the battlefield was incredible, and the fury of Vulcan was as powerful as it had ever been. But, something continued to plague Ithilnaur's mind about the whole thing.

That was when the gate opened up behind the main force of the Rangers. Aghast at what was about to happen; Ithilnaur led his small group to counter-attack this new enemy arrival, but what came from this gate was not the legions of troops of the Empire, but Ruinous Ones and Lieutenants. Death had come to the battlefield!

@Dnarion, what you have is perfect, but the only thing you have to alter is the lores of magic. Each character is allowed only two, a primary and a secondary. So Tyrol would be a primary, and one of the Alorns would be a secondary, unless you want to primarily specialize in an Alorn, in which you'd have one magic, just like my character. My explanations can sometimes be confusing, so if you have any questions, feel free to tell me

I apologize for missing that detail. It has been edited, and I will continue to work on the character over the next day or so. Thanks for the help.

While waiting for Shadow to post, I'll get a vote going.

Would you guys rather post in posting order or post whenever it feels appropriate (aka no particular order)?

I am good either way, but a posting order sometimes does stop chaos.

Hmmm. I'm really fine with either. I feel like both options have their upsides and downsides.

I like not having a posting order because it's a bit more relaxed, in that you don't have to feel like everyone is waiting on you if you are busy and can't reply for a few days. It does have the downside of sometimes leaving people behind if they can't post for a while, however, they can always catch up, and I feel like that someone having to catch up every now and then is preferable to the RP dying, which I've seen happen too many times.

On the flip side, posting orders are nice for keeping order and it is nice to have structure. They do, however, have the distinct disadvantage of the RP being slowed or stopped when someone can't reply for a while, for whatever reason, when their character's response may or may not be necessary to continue.

That said, my vote would be that we post when we feel it is appropriate, but try to keep it reasonable. This way we can use our judgment and keep the RP moving while hopefully not leaving people behind. That or we can have a loose posting order, but have it understood that if you aren't able to post for a certain period of time, we will continue on without you, and you can rejoin whenever you return. That way we don't get stuck. If that makes sense.

Also, sorry for my long answer. XD

I kind of like doing an inbetween sometimes. Where each posting round is a round and each person post in that round but the next round doesn't start until every person has posted.

For instance, instead of doing a posting order of everyone that's like this:
Round one:
1. Amara
2. Reaper
3. Yue
Etc.
Round Two:
1. Amara
2. Reaper
3. Yue

It could be like this where it's like this:
Round one:
1. Amara
2. Reaper
3. Yue

Round two:
1. Yue
2. Amara
3 Reaper

And so forth.

Does that make sense?? It's sort of like instead having someone be 1, or 2 or 3. They can be the first to post in first round and last to post in the second round. It gives the freedom of posting when you can during that round but also gives people who may be busy enough time to post before being left too far behind.

What do you think?

I'm fine with that. That was what I meant by loose posting order. Everyone posts once per round but the order doesn't matter.

Ah! I didn't realize that's what loose posting meant. :)
I use to do it quite often with my roleplays on another site. It keeps things relaxed but it still has a structure to it.

It's one option we can consider maybe.

Sorry about the wait, I've been caught up with work lately. I hope to have a reply up either today or Saturday.

Um, so, I'm a little confused as to where to start, as none of my characters are at the battle.
