She would watch him sleep a bit surprised. he was proud of her. no one has been proud of her. slowly she would let herself fall asleep. she didn't hear the noise and slept quietly until kagan put his hand on her mouth. waking up starteled. she looks up at him and nods after he spoke.

blinking a few times she would slip from him and the bed and quietly grab the bucket they had a bit of water still in and then move to the door. standing on the side so the door would open towards her and holds it over her head. ready to bash who ever it was that came inside.

At that cold, pre-dawn instant, several things happened at once. The first was predictable, the door to the cabin was thrown open forcefully, likely bruising the elf's arms as she stopped it. However, in the same instant, the glass of the one simple window in the cabin shattered into the cabin, scattering sharp fragments all over the floor. This was a coordinated attack! There were at least two of them, they had hit from both sides as to confuse the two inside the cabin.

Kagan reacted as best he could, under the circumstances. As one dark-clothed figure came in through the window, the orc tore a post from the bed as if it were a toy and threw the post at the intruder as hard as he could. In the same moment, he was proud to see the usually timid elf bring the bucket down on the head of another enemy charging through the door. A loud cry went up from outside the cabin - there were more than two attackers! Sore as he was, the orc felt adrenaline course through him and showed his fangs in a wide smile. He lived for moments like these.

Throwing the blanket onto the floor over the glass, Kagan managed to avoid more than a small cut as he charged towards the nearer enemy now laying on the floor. He stomped roughly on his foe's head, hoping to end him - but before the blow landed, the enemy was suddenly standing again, reaching out with dark hands for his throat. What... What were these things? They were not spirits, but something about them felt supernatural. Struggling with his own opponent, the orc had little time to witness how well his companion was doing with hers - and that was paying no heed to the other/others outside the cabin proper.

She heard the window break and frowns some. there was more then one great. she thought as she brought the bucket down on the person as hard as she could yet again. hearing the yelling outside she frowns there was more still. looking up to see kagan struggling with his oppent she looks around. finding the poker for the fire place she grabs it then runs over to the hooded fiuger fighting him. swinging it as hard as she could at the persons head. the faster they killed them the better.

With a sharp cry, the figure fell again, swiping out towards Kagan as it did. In its flailing, the figure's hood fell back, revealing grey skin and green eyes. However, that was not what shook the orc. He... He knew this face. As another rushed through the door, Kagan caught it with a flurry of bows and tore back its hood.

#74 must have seen it too, must have known. These were fellow slaves from Tannow's home, or they had been. Now they moved unnaturally, even when beaten down numerous times they continued to rise and to fight, trying to kill Kagan but mysteriously leaving the elf unharmed apart from pushing her aside.

Kagan immediately asked the question 'who is outside the house' quietly to himself. It had to be Tannow. Well they couldn't fight these things, and they couldn't run out the door. Through the window it was. "Get ready to run," Kagan said, as the ghouls that had been his friends suddenly slowed. The master was coming.

As soon as a shadow set foot in the cabin, the orc grabbed #74's hand and bolted for the window, ghouls exploding into new wrath and chasing after.

In her mind, Number heard a strange, otherworldly echo. The voice, however, was entirely familiar. "Number," Tannow said, "come back. Come home."

She would do her best to keep on fighting. Though seeing it was her fellow slaves surprised her for a moment. If they was here so was he.

Looking to kagan she nods. Taking ahold of his hand she would run with him. Jumping out the window when she got there. Stumbling a little and falling to her knees.

She looks back at the house. " No" she says softly in her head. " You didn't want me till she was gone and she isn't"

"It's too late," the voice rumbled through her mind. "Come home, Number..."

After letting her stand again, and still holding her hand, the orc was running. "Was that real!?" He fought to understand. "Can that happen? Or is this place just ****ing with us?" Even running out of breath in the cold air, Kagan let out a laugh. "If this turns out to be nothing but bad dreams and spirit nonsense I'm going to be pretty upset!" It wasn't safe to stop, it wouldn't be for some time, but when Number's energy began to waver the orc actually picked her up and ran with her in his arms.

"So... New plan..." He went on, between ragged breaths. "When we get... Somewhere... You could use a bath." He laughed, only a combination of his childish humor and fear for his life keeping Kagan moving. "And anyway," he said as he fell, twisting so that his back hit the ground and #74 was unharmed, "I think you should go first to make sure the water's not filled with eels or something. Then I'll join you." His eyelids flickered closed for a moment. "I'll blindfold you first, don't worry. Don't wanna scar you with the sight of a real man." He laughed once more, curled up a little, said "but seriously, run" - and was asleep, out in the cold open of the woods. He had made incredible strides to get away, buying his love and her other half time. But he couldn't do this. Couldn't live this series of chases over and over without time to recover. He had to sleep. He was so tired... Nothing was going to wake him, not right now.

Far in the distance, inhuman calls and screeches echoed through the dark. Wherever the shades were, and whatever they truly were - they were still looking for the elf.

she would keep ahold of his hand and run with him. " leave me alone i want nothing to do with you." she says in her head again. looking to kagan she would nod a bit. if this was a dream she would be very upset as well. doing her best she to keep up with him her energy would fall before his.

looking to him in surprise when he picked her up she knew more then to argue with him. when they fell she looked to him worriedly. " a bath?" she said confused then noticed him falling asleep. he was exhausted and his wounds didn't get time to heal properly. Looking around when she heard the howls and screeches she frowns. they was still being hunted. Looking back down at the orc a few tears ran down her face. he was more and likely going to be killed because of her. " I'm sorry" she says and kisses his check softly. " I hope you forgive me one day."

walking back the way they came she thinks of a way to protect him. perhaps set a few traps and then maybe she stood a chance to take him down. coming to a small clearing she looks up at the sky. " please help me protect him."she says softly. before going about working on some traps. near the end of her trap making the personality would switch. setrina looked around a little lost on what was going on
