Today started as a usual day for Nolan. He woke up in his cabin, caught his breakfast then got dressed for the day. But as placed his attire upon his body, a knock came upon his door. Startled, Nolan grabbed a small dagger that was placed upon his table and sneaked over towards the door as he opened it and pointed the dagger outward towards the person that knocked. It was a little boy, who was now trembling because Nolan was pointing a blade towards him. "Oh, sorry. Never can be too careful around these parts. What are you doing here?" Nolan asked the little boy, who handed him a slip of wrinkled up paper.
Nolan took the piece of paper and his eyes scanned over the little message that was written on it. His eyes gazed at the little boy but he had vanished, seemingly without a trace as Nolan raised a brow then sucked his teeth before tucking the dagger into his boot and leaving his cabin so that he could go where the note mentioned for him to go.
His horse, Speedy, neighed whenever Nolan pulled back on the reigns just as he reached his destination. He jumped down from his horse and tied the animal to a nearby post before walking inside of the building before him, which was nothing more than a bounty hunter building. "Ah, Nolan, come on into my office." A man with a beard said as he waved for Nolan to come into his office and to have a seat at his desk.
"Arthur, how are you, my good sir?" Nolan asked of him while sitting down in front of him as Arthur responded with a chuckle. "Same as always, Nolan, my boy. But do I have a treat for you." Arthur remarked as he snapped his fingers in the air then rummaged through his desk drawer and pulled out a piece of paper with a drawing on it as he slapped it in front of Nolan. "What is this?" Nolan asked Arthur, who leaned back in his chair and stroked his beard. "That is the opportunity of a lifetime. That is your next bounty hunt, Nolan. A hybrid of both werewolf and vampire qualities. Bring the beast back to me, dead or alive and I'll give a bounty so big that you will be able to have multiple cabins here and there."
Nolan let Arthur's words sink in as he smiled then eyed Arthur with a raised brow. "How many people have attempted this mission?" Nolan questioned towards Arthur, who was now stammering through his words as Nolan raised up his hand while also shaking his head. "Thanks, Arthur but no thanks." With those words said, Nolan stood up along with Arthur, who tried his best to plead with Nolan.
"Try getting another fool to do this because I am not him." Nolan said as when Arthur wasn't really looking, Nolan swiped the drawing off of the desk and turned heel to walk out of the bounty hunter's office. While walking down the stairs, Nolan eyed the drawing then went back beside his horse and muttered. "Well, Speedy, looks like we're going on a little trip."
Nolan bounced back upon his horse and kicked the horse sides with his feet as the horse started a slow trek through a wooded path. Of course, Nolan was going to try and catch this beast but he knew some obstacles would be in his way but he was more than ready for those as a bag was drooped on the side of the horse that had some necessities that he might need for his journey in there.
