Null blinked for a moment, listening to Link's little attempt at mimicing the bear. It made the noise back, finding it rather entertaining to be able to interact with another person. Plus, it seemed that this human child really liked it, so it was fine, right? Surely it was, since the kid was smiling and laughing. "What is.. 'mom?'" Null asked when it began to overhear Link responding to Claudia. Null did not understand parents and children really, as Null itself did not have either of them in its life. It was a creature that was too strange for this planet, and quite possibly would stand out; gain a lot of unwanted attention. Just the thoughts alone was enough to make anyone worry. To think that Null could be dangerous, a killer creature waiting to strike. Or even something genetically created and sent over from another country? An alien from space, or even some ancient creature from before humanity first took over the planet. All those ideas were quite plausible, but even so, Null would not get special treatment from the outside world at all.
With a unknown creature such as Null however, it also could lead to figuring out what exactly it was. It was a creature made out of some hard material, rock or crystal, sturdy. It had a heart in its head and a brain in its chest. Eyes on its chest, and mouth on its throat; three fingered hands and two toed feet. It was nothing but alien, yet it showed such gentleness and a eagerness to learn. An intelligent creature such as this had to have been either from somewhere unknown or designed by someone. Hell, the creature didn't even have any gender at all, so the thought of repopulating such a strange species was even out of the question.
Lifting its eyes to look at Lincoln and then back down at the bear that it held in its arms, it slowly stood up from the floor. It went over towards the box it had opened, and began putting the stuffed animals back in the box exactly how it had found them, including the black bear. Its quiet little chirping noises continued as it looked at Link curiously, wondering what was going through the child's mind.
