The wolf stirred gently, it's front paw waving around in the air for just a moment before it stopped again, a whimper coming from the throat of the animal. It's soft, snow colored fur ran uniformly down the muscled body, but right in the middle of the white was crimson red, the shaft of an arrow protruding rather prominently. Another whimper was emitted, prompting the arrival of a wide shouldered man in a thick coat, his stride lengthened by his long legs. The man grimaced slightly as a sweeping gust from the north blew tufts of snow from the ground past his dark green irises and jet black hair. When the snow settled, the man drew closer to the wolf, kneeling down next to it and stroking the body. A few beats of silence passed between animal and man before the latter spoke: "Let the gods guide you home, wild one." The wolf's paw once again moved in the air, the man taking the paw gently and laying it on the ground. Time passed by, the wolf's eyes slowly closing, the man kneeling by it until the eyes were fully shut. He withdrew the arrow from the now dead wolf and placed it next to the carcass, blowing out a sigh in the process. "May there be a time when the Oversoul is never bled from another." With that proclamation, he began to pick the body up, nestling it on his shoulder before standing with a grunt. He walked back on the path he had become familiar with over the past few months, fully aware of the boastful gusts that were assailing him. If he didn't get home soon,he wou...

Suddenly, the gusts picked up strength, the man almost blown onto his back. The wolf carcass fell to the ground as the man attempted to fight the wind, which seemed to be forcing him in the opposite direction. A moment later, the forest was bathed in a lime-green light, his eyes blinded by the intensity of it. And as quick as it came, it went, leaving the man's eyes to adjust to the growing darkness.

"What..." As his eyes acclimated to the darkness of the forest, he spotted a form in the distance, a pulsating light guiding his gaze toward the form. Carcass forgotten, the man forged forward in the snow, breath crystallizing into vapor. As he got closer, the pulsating seemed to weaken until it was emitting enough light for him to see that the form was the body of a woman. He knelt, placing a hand on her shoulder, shaking it gently.

Lana couldn't remember a thing. All she could remember was her being spoken to by some Goddess. A Goddess of importance no doubt. She heard the voice in a beautiful silken way as it was whispered in her ear. She couldn't put her tongue on what the words were saying but when she came too, she was laying in the snow.

Her vision was a bit blurry but she could see the silhouette of a man leaning over her. She then felt a new sensation, she was freezing. She immediately curled up into a ball to try and get herself warm but all she felt was the pain of the cold through her body. It was only then that she realized that she was naked, she covered herself as best she could from the stranger that loomed over her. Lana's black hair was matted down and freezing over form the harsh weather. Her whole body was numb and she could hardly move without fear of breaking a limb off. But then a warm sensation pulsated from her arms. A green light flashed and she felt warmth through her whole body. She gave a soft yet weak smile, looking up at the man before her head fell to the snow once more and she passed out again. Everything was dark, but there was always that green light in the distance, no matter how far Lana ran, she could never reach it. It felt like the light was calling to her in some way. But she couldn't figure out why.

(Ack! So sorry about the delay!)

Her eyes, soft and tender, examined his for a brief moment, a smile crossing her face before her head landed on the snow once more. The pale light casting from the moon illuminated her cream colored skin, her unclothed body seeming to glow under the inspection of the moonbeams. Whoever she was, the man felt obligated to take care of her. She was unclothed and alone in the Northern forest, a vicious and uninhabited area of Hokkaido. He needed to get her warm food and drink. Hopefully with enough nurturing, the woman could return to consciousness and possibly explain her supernatural appearance. He reached out with both arms, scooping her up gently. She felt almost weightless, her body levitating rather than weighing him down. His eyes moved down her body, noting that the glow that had once accompanied her was now gone.

Who was she?

___

The sun was beginning to peek over the tree line, revealing a small but cozy looking cabin propped up in a roundish clearing that was surrounded by thickets of dense pines, providing a natural source of cover. Not that he would need to be worried about anyone seeking him out, but just in case...

Inside the cabin was sparsely furnished. A rather large cot was up against the right side of the dwelling, a fireplace wedged up against the northern edge in which a roaring fire was burning. On the left were various tools and supplies scattered haphazardly across the floor and two wooden tables. On the cot was the form of the woman covered by a sweeping blanket made of wolf and bear pelt. Next to the cot was a tray with a glass mug, steamy liquid giving off a pleasant aroma. His broad shoulders turned from the fire, dark blue irises examining the woman once more. She hadn't stirred since he had brought her here. He approached a bit closer...

Lana had the dream once again. The Goddess came to her in the form of a glowing green light this time, whispering in her ear with the same silken voice as before. The voice was calm and soothing to the ear, she felt at peace when the goddess spoke. Lana tried her best to listen closely but still could only pick out a few things that the Goddess had said to her, she just hoped she would remember when she woke up.

"Find the truth." Were the words that continued to echo in her mind. "Find the truth." Truth of what? Lana thought to herself. But then something strange happened.

The green light began to absorb into Lana's body, the feeling was warm but somewhat painful. Lana groaned in her sleep and started to shake softly as the green light started to make tribal looking tattoos up and down her arms. Lana shot up from the bed and took in a deep breath as she awoke from her dream. Once she caught her breath she turned to see a man walking towards her, she started to reel back a bit, unaware of what his intentions may have been. When she tried to speak, her words came out as a broken and very old and dead celestian language. Not many folks would understand what she was saying, the only ones who would have any idea of what she was saying would be elders. But seeing how they were in a cabin, elders weren't really at the disposal of the man that was in front of her at the moment.

Lana continued to ramble on in the ancient language, unbeknownst to her that he probably couldn't understand anything she was saying.

"Please! Please don't hurt me!" She was saying in her language. She tried to turn the language into English but failed horribly

Strange markings, a language that assailed his ears which brought no comprehension and wild eyes that darted all around the small interior. Who WAS this woman? And why on earth did she insist on revealing herself? That would be the first order of business.

He held his arms parallel to the ground, palms up. Slowly retreating backwards, he reached behind him to one of the nightstands and found the blanket draped across it. Retrieving the item, he then walked forward, extending it to her while leaving about ten feet of room between the two.
"I do not know if you can understand me..." He began in the native tongue, his deep, rumbling voice kept at a peaceable decibel.
"But if you can, please take this and cover yourself. I will not hurt you. You were wounded and I brought you here so you would not freeze to death." He couldn't help but chuckle to himself inwardly. This would all be babble to her if she couldn't understand him, but the gesture he was still engaged in would hopefully deter some of her frantic worry. He reached forward a bit more, continuing:
"My name is Sasami Miyakami. Can you tell me what yours is?" Just outside his door came scratching. He continued to hold out the blanket as he moved to the door, opening it to reveal a rather snow matted dog. It wasn't a hefty thing, about fifty pounds and three feet long, but it's strong muscled gleamed against the fireplace. It walked to the fireplace, melting snow dripping off of it's now visible auburn colored coat. It scratched at the floor for a moment before settling in front of the fireplace, ears flattening against it's head. It looked up at Sasami with a bemused expression, then to the woman. It's eyes narrowed before looking to the fireplace.
