"Alright, my good man, you can stop here," shouted Lord Charles Dunworth III to the driver of the carriage. The driver promptly stopped in front of a tall iron gate which was dwarfed by the large, extravagant building behind it.

Stepping out of his carriage, Charles stopped for a moment to be greeted by the cold October air. Tonight was a special night in his calendar, it was the night of Hallowe'en or All Hallows Eve as some would call it. Within the enormous building was a party that seemed to be in full swing as Charles could hear the music and the loud chatter from the party goes from where he was standing.

There was another fact that made this party seem more high-class than it was (besides the fact that only the rich could attend) and that fact was that it was a costume party. Luckily, Charles was prepared for this and had his costume made many nights before. He was dressed as what seemed to be some sort of ghoul with his tattered clothes and his grey skin, painted with the best paints to give it a more realistic look. He even had his hair unkempt and his body odor was not all that appealing to the senses. He really seemed to look the part.

He waved the carriage away and walked up to the gate and opened it. He then began his short journey down the path that lead to the front of the house, it was littered with decorations such as fake (but realistic) skeletons, pumpkins and even some leaf-less tress to add to the effect.

At the front door, he was stopped by a guard dressed in blue and just happened to have a prosthetic right arm made out of iron and steel. "What is your name, sir?" asked the man whose face was hidden behind a mask.

"Why, I can't believe you've forgotten me already, Mr. Berkeley," answered Charles who was known to be a tease.

"Oh, terribly sorry, Mr. Dunworth." apologized Mr. Berkeley as he opened the door for the new guest. "Right this way."

Charles offered his thanks and walked in. The party was in full swing.

The Underworld was not a nice place. There resided the most hideous and vicious of creatures that would jump at the chance to attack the humans. But none was more hideous than the King himself.

The King of The Underworld ruled his realm with an iron fist, always promising his people the chance of redemption and recognition. This night however, was to be the night of action.

He sat on his throne, his gaze fixated on the multitude of workers that bumbled up and down preparing things for the night. Of course, he was anxious, anxious to get revenge on the humans that wronged him and his people many years ago.

Then one of his advisers, a ghoul by the name of Lotho, walked up next to the throne of his king. Lotho was a timid and shy being, the only thing that kept him in this position was the fact that he was very brilliant and used this to get on the good side of the King. "What news do you have for me, Lotho?" inquired the King.

"Well sir," the ghoul began. "The soldiers are all waiting for you to address them and rally them together for the invasion."

"Very well," replied the King. "Let us go."

They then walked out into one of the very large rooms in the Underworld, a room that was wide enough to hold a great number of ghosts, ghouls and goblins. The King made his way to a small stage that was in the middle of the army and began:

"Brothers and sisters of the Underworld, hear me! Tonight is the night, my friends, tonight is the night that we strike at the humans! For years we have been oppressed and mocked by those savages but no more! No more! No longer shall they wear costumes in or images only to be laughed at, no longer shall they burn effigies of us in delight, no longer shall our name be dragged through the mud! Tonight, we shall end them just as they ended us!"

The crowd cheered loudly and seemed to have enough energy to fight the humans.

Nothing will ever be the same.
