"In the shadows, they keep us safe, but ignorant"
"But is ignorance such a bad thing?"

Plot:
Watchers are supernatural beings who take on the appearance of humans to blend in with society. Their job is to protect specific people from wild mystical beasts that wish to kill these specific humans. They want to kill these people because they hold small traces of magic within them, which they feed on to stay alive. The mystical beasts are invisible to most of human society, except for the Watchers and their chosen person.
This is the story of one such person, and his watcher. Watchers can be seen by humans unless they choose not to be seen. They hide in the shadows in order to protect their chosen person from afar.
He is a young man who has a pretty average life except that he is sometimes disturbed by strange nightmares almost every night. One day, he is attacked and almost killed by a strange spirit beast, but is saved by a mysterious young woman with a sword. The woman reveals herself as his Watcher and now that he knew about her, he had to work with her.

My Character:
Name: Annie Loveta
Age: appears to be 28
Gender: Female
Looks: Image
Personality: A blunt girl that possesses extraordinary skills with a sword. Annie is known to be rather stoic and straightforward with others; she is also very blunt and isn't afraid to insult someone and claims that she is simply "stating a fact out loud". Despite the burdens and serious nature of he job, she is surprisingly laid back when she isn't fighting. She is interested in the lifestyles of normal humans , mainly due to the fact that she rarely gets to interact with people or objects.
When it comes to fighting the spirits, Annie is extremely serious about her job. Some would say that Annie goes a little TOO far when she kills the stronger ones and she herself is starting to go on the brink of insanity. The reason for her insane behavior may stem from the many years she has spent being a watcher and rarely interacting with others. She is confident in most situations but she tends to scorn herself for wanting to kill more than necessary.
Bio: to be explained in the RP
Extra: Annie has a bit of a sweet tooth and has an attachment to dogs because they can sense her presence, even when she is invisible.

Err..... hmm... maybe retcon the age a bit?

Name: Mark Merchant
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Looks:
He’s tall and lanky but very very skinny, freckles dotting his ceramic face. His head is covered with brown curls. He has stormy gray eyes. He wears a casual button up shirt and trousers with a belt to work.
Personality: Mark Merchant is an eccentric man. He loves to teach and is known for being very hard on his students. He's the right combination of clumsy, awkward and airhead to be one of the most popular teachers with his students. He's very kind hearted and loves helping people.
History: He and his girlfriend both went into Computer science in University. While she went on to start a buisiness, he climbed higher on the academic ladder. He married her shortly after he got his Masters and they lived happily for 7 years, until she died one day. Depressed and frustrated with life, he quit his job at the university and got a job at the local high school. He found that teaching a smaller group of younger students was a lot more fulfilling than the position at the university and it gave him a new purpose in life.

Note about the GF: I'm not sure, but Claire and Mark are sorta complimentary and if I play one on her/his own I usually have them as former lovers/friends who died. Again, usually Claire had some sort of supernatural or fantasy powers so I might bring that in, that is her having powers (Not sure if I want her to be a watcher). Part of the story would probably be Mark discovering more about Claire and moving on.

The final bell had rung for the day at the high school Mark worked at. The students were always making a hasty retreat to the parking lots, as if learning was some sort of plague. Though the course-work being taught was...simplistic at best, it was still information worth listening to.
Instead, Annie would find students constantly dozing off or gluing their eyes to the screen of their cellular device behind a book. It was rather off putting how a perfectly good work of literature was being used to shield to cover their precious electronics from being spotted in class.

Annie found herself sitting on top of a desk facing Mr. Merchant's desk. She waited patiently for him to gather his things and be on his way, as was routine for him.
Of course, he would never know that a young woman was following him around on a consistent basis, because no one could see her. She was invisible to the mortal plane. In this stage, she could do as she pleased without anyone hearing or seeing her. Watcher's sometimes spend an entire mission in this state, completing their job with flawless results and keeping the chosen people safe from harm until their timely deaths.

Annie sighed as she played with a piece of her hair, the human disguises were nice to have, even if they barely used them. But occasionally, someone would slip up and at least by keeping their human appearances, their wouldn't be mass panic.
The sun would be going down soon and it was important that Mark was home by nightfall. She would prefer him safe inside his home in the ungodly hours of the dark, where the creatures couldn't reach him and hurt him.
