It was almost as though Hank had never left home the way he spent the majority of his time studying and working on projects. His first couple of years in university had flown by, easy as pi (the 3.14 kind), and in no time the genius had earned his first PhD in no time. His first couple of roommates had pretty well left the man alone which suited Hank just fine as he wasn’t one for partying or socializing outside of what was necessary. Countless nights were spent in the labs, perfecting calculations and working on extra projects outside of his own assignments. He had been given nearly unlimited access to the labs in his second year, and now was a common sight and often Hank would help out the students when they needed some help or when he needed a break from his own projects. When he was in his dorm room it was usually only to catch a couple hours of sleep, maybe grab some coffee and a granola bar or two, before heading out once more. It wasn’t often anyone could find the man there so they rarely ever tried. When he was nearing the end of getting his second PhD, Hank had requested a single room, not wanting to go through the troubles of having a roommate or two, coordinating schedules, organizing chore lists, and everything else in between. All the paperwork had been submitted, processed, and approved, and Hank was looking forward to having a place to himself where he could work from home if needed, not have to worry about anyone moving his stuff or interrupting his procedures. So when he opened the door and found the list of people to be living there, he paused, read it over, read it over again, and sighed. So much for that. His stuff was already moved in, all Hank had to do was unpack and set up his stuff, or at least that had been the plan. |
