Mey Rin shrugged as well. All she knew is what Sebastian told her, that he was a boy that was found in the Madame's garden. When the three arrived in the kitchen, Mey Rin spoke quickly. "Sebastian! You'll never believe this! But the Lady Ellie is being kind to this new boy! Somethin must be wrong with 'er!" Mey Rin looked at the others for support and nodded.

Ellie saw the glance that Theodore had given her and she glanced at him as well. She felt strange, the emotion of kindness filled her, she didn't know if she actually liked it or not. But for now she would let it be. She held onto this hand lightly as she continued to slowly lead him around the garden and back to the table. "Are you alright? I didn't hurt you did I?" She asked, the faintest of smiles forming on her lips.

Sebastian was to be found in the kitchen, standing over an assortment of different deserts, apparently attempting to figure out which would be the best to serve to Ellie and Theodore. However, he was distracted when Mey-Rin, Finny, and Bardroy appear in the room, with Mey-Rin saying something about how the Lady Ellie, being nice. And wondering if something was wrong with her because of this. Sebastian chuckled softly. “Ah, is that the case then? Well, there is nothing to be worried of. There’s something about that boy that is different...I could tell. Lady Ellie is perfectly fine; there is no need to worry at all.” He then blinks, realizing that the three were there, and not keeping an eye on the two. Shaking his head, he picks out a lemon cake, and places it on the cart, before wheeling it out, heading in the direction of the garden area.

Not once did she let go of his hand. And not once did he let go of hers. Theodore craved the warmth that he felt through her fingers, it was a nice feeling. This was a first; he never before knew such a sensation. They slowly circle back to the table, and Ellie asks if he was okay. Theodore looks back at her, and saw the smile, a faint one of his own turning up the corners of his lips, and shakes his head. “No, I am okay.” He grudgingly let go of her hand as he sat back down, slightly wincing as he did, though did his best to hide the pain from showing.

For a moment he was quiet, glancing around at the flowers, before speaking again. “What...what do you do here...all alone?” He asks, shyly looking over at her, his thumb grazing the cane that was in his hand still, the wooden part lying across his lap.

Ellie made sure to help Theodore sit before returning to her own seat and sitting up straight as usual. She heard Sebastian on his way with the cart and gave a soft smile to Theodore when she heard his question.
"I'm mostly busy with work. I really don't have time to enjoy things. When I do have a break I usually go on horse rides." She gave a soft smile and tilted her head. "What do you do in your spare time Theodore?" For the first time in her life, Ellie's kindness was genuine. She never was one for kindness, especially after what she had been through.

Theodore was surprised to hear that she was busy with work. She wasn’t that old was she, so how come a girl her age had to work? That wasn’t something to ask right then, so he decided to not let it get to him, though he had to admit to himself it was quite confusing. Her pass time came as a nice surprise. Theodore had never really been one for horses, as they always spooked when he got too close. However, even so, he was always one to admire their grace from afar if he was to see one in passing.

Blinking when Ellie asks what he did in his spare time, he was quiet for a moment. “Oh, I um...I like to pl-” He was about to answer when he heard the rolling of a tray coming closer, and so falls quiet. Sebastian appears, and sets two dishes down, one in front of Ellie and the other in front of Theodore. Opening the tray, he sets a slice of pie down on each plate. “Fresh lemon cake. I hope it is to your liking.” He says, bowing slightly. Once again he decided to let the two be alone, and walks away, though this time stays outside, so he could keep an eye on them. Looking from his spot, he wondered what the two had been conversing about when he’d come out, he made a habit not to butt in to conversations of Lady Ellie’s unless it was absolutely necessary.

Picking up the fork, Theodore takes a bite of his cake before setting the fork down again. For a moment, he stares at the sweet, a frown on his lips. He then sighs, and looks up apologetically at Ellie. “I...I’m sorry, but I’m starting to get a little tired...” It was evident on his face too, his eyes had an exhausted appearance, and he looked like he was so tired that he was about to cry.

Ellie was interested in what Theodore had to say about what he enjoyed doing, but when Sebastian came back he stopped speaking. Ellie glared at Sebastian for interrupting and then turned back to Theodore. She took a small bite of her lemon cake and then looked to Theodore for a moment while he spoke. She felt a bit sadenned that he was wanting to go to sleep, she gave a sigh and nodded. "Sebastian. Take care of this. I'll escort Theodore to his quarters." Ellie smiled and stood, walking to Theodore and offering her hand once more to him. "If he so chooses that is." She gave a soft smile to Theodore.

The glare that Ellie had given him was not missed by Sebastian, who said nothing, nor reacted. Better to act as if he were oblivious, than to retort. He was surprised to hear from where he was standing, when Theodore said that he was tired. And even more so when Ellie told him to take care of the cake, and that she herself would be escorting the boy back to his room. However, once again, he does not question it. “Yes, my lady.” He says, a slight bow accompanying his words. He goes about picking up the plates, silverware and dessert, while from the corner of his eye he watched the interaction between Ellie and Theodore.

Theodore looked to Ellie as she once again walked over to him, her hand outstretched to his. Offering to help him once again, a soft smile on her lips as she looked at him. He didn’t hesitate in placing his hand in hers, as he stood up. “Thank you...” He murmurs. To both Ellie and Sebastian, for being so kind. He wasn’t one hundred percent sure if they meant what they were doing, but so far their actions were starting to let it sink in that these people were indeed true to their words. They were indeed kind. Walking slowly, he allows Ellie once more to guide him, as he wasn’t sure really where the room he’d been staying in was. It was a rather big estate, no doubt he would have gotten lost if he’d tried to find the room by himself.

“Will you still be here when I...when I wake up?” He asks quietly, staring down at his feet as they walked. He hoped she would, as he wanted to spend more time with her. This was the first time he’d ever looked forward to being around someone. It was all so new to him.

Ellie walked slowly next to him and lead him to his room. She slowly helped him up the stairs, being more cautious for those. She smiled at his question and nodded. "Of course I will be here. As long as the Queen doesn't need anything from me that is too terribly urgent." She gave a soft smile and opened the guest door and lead him to his bed. She pointed at the small rope at the side of it. "If you need anything at all, pull this chord and one of my staff will be with you shortly." Ellie thought for a moment and remembered something. "Also if you need anything, my study is just down the hall and to the left." She looked at him and gave another smile befote leaving the room to continue her work in her study.

Slowly making their way back in to the estate, careful with every movement, moving even more carefully when they reach the stairs that lead to the floor that the guest room was on. Ellie answered his question, which made him relieved when he heard it, that she indeed would still be there when he woke up again. He couldn't help but wonder what kind of business a young girl her age would have with the Queen, but he wasn't going to ask, it was her business alone, not his.

They reach the guest room, going inside, and with Ellie's help, Theodore climbs on to the bed. "Thank you..." He murmurs, watching as she walked back towards the door, and hearing the last thing she said, about her study being down the hall. Returning the smile, he closes his eyes when she leaves, falling asleep almost instantly, not even bothering to cover himself with the covers of the bed, he was just that tired. Maybe...maybe he really was safe here...it was almost too good to be true...he had to be careful, before he got caught up in something he would regret...

Ellie had a lot of work to attend too. She had been putting it off since Theodore had arrived. She usually didn't like surprised but she did have to admit to herself that him showing up was a pleasant one. Although it was strange that Sebastian found him in her garden, she shrugged the thought away and sat at her desk, getting to her paperwork once more.

It had been hours after Ellie went to bed, and she was fast asleep. She often had nightmares of those horrid three days that she was put through. The torture was endless. Whippings, branded, and emotionally and mentally becoming unstable. It all came back to her often in night terrors. In these she was able to watch what happened to herself and her family as if she was the person torturing them. It always scared her to death. Ellie bolted upright in her bed and gave out a loud scream of horror that was mixed with pain. She needed someone, anyone. Sebastian, Finny, Mey-Rin, Bard, Tanaka; anyone. Then she remembered Theodore was just across the hall from her.

Once or twice Theodore had woken up, but quickly fell back asleep. Once when he had done this, it was rather dark outside, though the sky seen from the open window showed just a small amount of sun still in the sky as it was setting in the horizon over the trees. Sitting up a bit on the bed, he sighs softly to himself, his eyes drifting from the window to the small beside desk, which had a platter on it, and from what he guessed, was dinner. However, he wasn't hungry, and left it alone, instead scooting off of the bed to cross the room to where he had put the night shirt he'd worn before was sitting folded on a chair, and picks it up. For a moment, he just stares at it in his hand, zoning out. He finds himself sitting on the chair when he snaps out of the 'zone', the shirt in his lap, and the light gone from the sky. What had shifted him from his state of mind was a loud scream coming from somewhere near by. A girl's scream.

Getting up from the seat, he quietly crosses the room and opens the door, peeking out and looking left down the hall, then right. There was Sebastian, briskly making his way towards where Ellie had said her room, was, and he slips inside after the butler when he leaves the door open. Theodore almost melted in to the shadows of the room, only an outline of his figure could be seen, but that was if he moved. Standing still, it was like he wasn't even there. He watched quietly as Sebastian goes over to the bedside of the young lady, kneeling down next to her. "Are you alright, my young lady?" Sebastian asks, worry in his eyes as he looks upon her. From what he could see, she'd suffered yet again those night terrors that keep haunting her in her sleep. No matter what he tried, nothing seemed to rid her of them.

Ellie wasn't alone in the dark for long, her door was opened and Sebastian was immediately by her side. She looked at him, the girl had a fearful look on her small face. The only time she ever got scared was when she had night terrors, anytime else she was stone faced and strong. This was the only time she was weak, this was the only time she ever showed fear. Ellie finally caught her breathe and swallowed hard.
"I had another night terror about... About that night..." She said softly, almost a murmur. She looked at Sebastian and her eyes dropped to the floor, but then she quickly picked them up and looked at him once more.
"Sebastian... Get me Theodore..."

Hearing Lady Ellie's request, a surprised and slightly confused expression formed on Sebastian's face, but he doesn't ask any questions. Standing from his kneeling position, he crosses the room to the door, unaware that Theodore was already in the room. After the butler leaves, the door shutting quietly behind him, Theodore steps forward, his hands nervously held in front of himself. His thumbs rubbing against each other. He wondered why he was even standing there, and why Ellie wanted him of all people. Wouldn't she be better off with someone she knew? Wasn't that Sebastian guy a better choice than himself. And yet, she specifically asked...for him.

"Um...you...you want me?" He asks, an uncertain tone in his voice. Taking another step forward, he was now standing in the moonlight from the window, his pale skin reflecting it softly. His emerald green eyes almost seemed to be glowing, softly shining. Balling his hands in to fists to stop the nervous fidgeting of his thumbs, he looks at Ellie intently, and slowly approaches her bed, his breath shallow, his heart beating fast. But...she was nice...so he was going to see what she wanted

Ellie watched as Sebastian left, her eyes drifted down momentarily and then lifted back up to the figure she had seen slide out from the shadows. She saw that it was Theodore and she gave a soft smile.

Ellie patted her bed and laid back down. "Stay with me please..." She never would have thought she would ever be saying something like that to another person. Especially if it wasn't anyone other than Sebastian.

Blinking, but doing as he was told, he cautiously sits down on the edge of her bed, watching with wide eyes as she laid back down against the pillows. Hearing her request, he was shocked she would ask such a thing, for him to...stay with her. Wouldn't she be better off asking Sebastian for that sort of thing, he seemed to be the kind of guy who would stay standing guard all night long over someone sleeping, not moving an inch, or blinking at all. And yet, here she was...asking him for that.

"Um, w-well...alright...if that's what you want..." He mumbles, not quite sure what to say at that moment. Instead, he waited for her to close her eyes, before carefully scooting closer to her on the bed, heart thumping in his chest as he reached forward, slipping his hand in hers, still so amazed by how warm and soft her hands were. It seemed like time had come to a stand still, but that was not the case, and seconds turned in to minutes, which ticked by. Hours pass, and later Sebastian would come in to the room to find Theodore laying on the bed, curled up slightly, but with his hand holding onto Ellie's. Both of them looked peaceful, so instead of waking them, he leaves them be, shocked that something like that had come to pass. He'd talk to Ellie about it in the morning, once she'd awoken.

Ellie watched as he hesitantly scooted into bed next to her. Their bodied didn't touch, but only their hands did. She held his hand in hers as she laid facing him. She opened her eyes for a second and gave a soft smile to herself before falling into a deep sleep.

That night would be peaceful for her. One of the rare nights she could actually sleep without a nightmare. She could only imagine what Sebastian would say about it in the morning if he had seen her that way. So vulnerable, so weak. In the morning she would scold herself for letting her emotions get the better of her. But for now, she would just sleep in peace.

Morning comes, and the sunlight fills the room with it's brightness. Theodore stirs, opening his eyes to find himself lying next to Ellie, their hands still clasping to each other. The only difference from when they'd fallen asleep was that he was laying next to her, his face right next to hers, and he stares, wide eyed at her sleeping, peaceful face. Inching away slowly, he moves enough so he could sit up, reluctant to do so, her warmth was so nice. He wasn't sure whether or not to let go of her hand or to keep holding it, until he heard the door open, turning his head to see Sebastian come in to the room.

"You can go now." Sebastian says plainly, his voice a little harsh, but there was a twinkle in his eye. "Uh-um, y-yeah...okay..." He murmurs, gently pulling his fingers away from Ellie's, before getting up off the bed, and crossing the room, passing Sebastian, who just looks at him, before going to Ellie's side. Leaving the room, he heads back across the hall to the room he'd been given, heading over to the window seat and sitting down, pulling his knees to his chest, staring outside.
