"Ugggh...." a hoarse voice grumbled. Why was everything moving? The ground, the wall, whichever hard surface he sat on.. it felt like everything was slightly shaking , now and then even bouncing. Some mumbling was close to him, a low vrooming sound was on the background. What was going on.. Why did it feel like he was being transported? As he was slowly awaking, he wanted to rub over his face but his hands were stuck, by the sounds of it he concluded they were chained. Sapphire sighed deep. What was going on here? He really didn't feel in the mood for any jokes. His head felt so heavy. It took him a lot of effort to actually open his eyes and slowly raise his head so he could look around. Not that it did him that much good, he just saw several silhouettes in the dark. Some were sitting next to him, others were sitting in front of him. By looking around and actually paying a bit more attention, he figured out that he was indeed being transported somewhere, alike these others, who had all been chained in the same way as he had been. He could only move a bit, as the chain restricted him. It seemed to be some kind of handcuffs his arms were in, but he hadn't seen them before, though he had to admit, the lack of light was quite annoying. It only allowed him to see just a little bit of the details, far too little to easily guess what kind of metal it was and how easily he could (or couldn't ) melt it. Though each type of metal had its own sound, there were way too many background noises to hear it well enough.

A deep frown appeared on his face. He was trying to remember what had happened. Surely, something should have happened, otherwise he wouldn't be here. And looking at himself and the others, it was obvious they were being treated like some very dangerous criminals. It puzzled him as some seemed rather.. young to be very dangerous criminals. But really.. whatever he had done, it couldn't be this bad, could it?

His memories were fuzzy and surely his headache didn't help him either. It felt like someone had either drugged him or wacked him on his head with a sledge-hammer. He gave up on trying to remember. Whatever he had done, whatever had happened, he reckoned he couldn't have done anything as bad as to deserve this. The fact that he couldn't remember and the fact that he was locked up in this vehicle going who knows where made him angry.

He didn't know if the others here remembered anything, or whether they cared about that. He didn't know who these people were or what they had done. But they seemed to be in the same state as he was, awaking from whatever had made them like this.

"....Does anyone know what happened? ...Or why we're here? ..Or where we're going?" he asked them, no one in particular, just hoping for some answer that would help him. He didn't feel like waiting for the arrival just to find out where they were going. Actually, he didn't plan on staying in chains at all. For now, he simply awaited an answer as he was focusing. He reckoned he could get out of these chains, rather easily. If he changed to his smallest dragon form, he should be able to move himself in such a way that when he'd transform back, he would be out of his chains. A fast option would be to change into his big dragon form. But ehm.. then he would give them a reason to transport him like this, as that would actually mean murdering these people, simply by squashing them. His biggest form was far too big and heavy for them to survive that.. And of course, then there was a risk of this vehicle actually exploding, as he couldn't calculate how the engine would react if it were suddenly squashed..

Tired, hungry, and irritated were the three emotions that Nathaniel Gray was feeling. The Dhampir groaned and tilted his head back, squeezing his eyes shut then opening them. He wasn't just staring at a ceiling, he was staring at a ceiling of a car! The young adult quickly looked around the vehicle and saw that a few others around him were waking up as well. A nekojin looked down at him, leaning against the wall of the car, a sneer on her face as she simply huffed and looked away from him. Still knocked out in the back of the car were another Dhampir, what looked like a wolf, and another person.

"....Does anyone know what happened? ...Or why we're here? ..Or where we're going?"

The Dhampir groaned as he shook his head while sitting up. "No clue..I can't remember anything..at least, not anything that would have led to me being thrown in..whatever kind of car we're in." He said simply as he rested his head against the wall of the back of the car. He heard everything. The clinking of the chains, the faint conversation of those in the cab of the vehicle. The heartbeats of everyone in it.

Oh god..that reminded him how he hadn't fed in a few days. Strangely..he didn't feel weaker. He tried to bring his hands up to his mouth to check for blood, only to hear his own chains clink and spring taut about halfway up his body. ****. He licked tentatively at his lips. Okay, there was nothing there. Which meant he had fed, but had been careful.

He looked around once more at the..eclectic gathering of beings in this room. All of them were bound by chains of varying thickness, with the ones on the other awake passenger seeming to be the thickest of them all. Strange..it was only a matter of time before they found out where they were heading though.

"Ah.." Sapphire sighed. "It can't be any good.." he grumbled, more to himself. He pulled the chains a bit, merely to feel how much room they gave and how stuck his hands were, whether there was even the slightest way to move. Knowing his small form was sized like an average house cat, he estimated that it would be alright. He didn't like showing his small form to anyone, because it looked cute and harmless. It might make the others think less of him, less than the great dragon he actually was. But he had decided, his freedom was more important than his ego. Especially because with his freedom back, there was no saying whether he would ever actually see these people again, so then there wasn't much damage done to his image anyway.

He stretched his neck, before transforming to his smallest form. The chains clattered down onto the floor, but Sapphire didn't care. He was free. He stretched himself on the metal surface he was sitting on. His small form was far from threatening. It looked rather huggable actually. It was like a baby dragon, with chubby, small shapes. He had no real weapons aside from his teeth and his claws in this form, as he had no spikes in this form at all and his horn was actually soft , alike his short tail. The gentle blue colour of his dragon skin wasn't easy to see with this lack of light, though his red eyes slightly radiated light due to his frustration of being here. After having stretched himself he glanced around, just checking how he should place himself to transform back without accidentally having his foot or arm somewhere it shouldn't be, like in the face of that cat-smelling woman.

After estimating it all, he transformed back to his human form, with a huge grin on his face as he was no longer bound by anything. Surely, the headache was still just as annoying, but this, this was a major breakthrough. Assuming they would be led out of the vehicle at whichever place they were going, he could at least make a run for it. Just a swift dash away from the group, then reverting to his big dragon form. It already got him fired up, the idea of getting out of here. Not for one moment did he think of whatever danger he might bring himself into for such actions. He didn't think about what they might face when the car was opened. The thought of freedom was all which filled his mind.
Sapphire stretched his knuckles, which made a snapping noise. He was ready to fight, whenever the car would stop. It was only a matter of waiting now.

Looking at the dude who had answered him, he offered "I can try to get those chains off for you". Though he wasn't one for random generosity, the dude had answered his questions, which was more than the others had. And of course, he could well imagine that none of them wanted to be chained like this. He felt some heads turning, noticing what he had offered, but he ignored it. He hadn't offered it to them.

"It might burn a bit though" he added, just as a friendly warning.

Even though it has been only a few minutes since he has woken up from his slumber, the sound of metal started to irritate him. As soon as a pair of handcuffs hit the floor, The Dhampir turned his head and saw that the guy with the mohawk has disappeared. ...Where did that guy go? He was just here! Nathaniel thought, looking around to see if the guy had found a way to escape. Hell, maybe he was an escape artist or a smart conman! And maybe I shouldn't judge people on looks and stereotypes, Nathaniel lifted his arm to run his fingers through his hair but groaned when the handcuffs restricted him in doing so. The boy had always ran his fingers through his hair when he thought of really stupid things, he didn't mind that it made him look feminine.

Out of the corner of his eye, Nathaniel swore that he saw something with wings become removed from the chains. The figure was blurry, which was strange considering that he had enhanced senses. Maybe he had a blunt object hit him in the back of his head before he was thrown in the moving vehicle? The young adult had a lot of questions, but couldn't find anyone that was willing to answer them.

Nathaniel flinched when he heard the boy, When did he come back? Where did he go? Nathan was sick of all of these questions he was thinking of. He was curious as to how the guy got out the handcuffs on his own, "Heh, I don't mind," The Dhampir replied to the guy's comment. The young adult thrusted his chained arms towards the boy. Since the guy got out of the chains all by himself, maybe he knew how to get out of the vehicle, He leaned forward and whispered. "Yo, did you have any plan on getting out of this shithole?"

When stranger came closer with the chains, Sapphire moved a bit closer, as he bent forward to take hold of the chains. First he tapped his fingers on the chains a few times, to hear the sound the metal made. He closed his eyes for a moment as he focused on the sound. It was obvious to him that this was a kind of steel alloy, informing him it would take quite some effort to get this off. He doubted it was safe for the guy if he worked on the handcuffs themselves.

It took quite some focus to heat his hands up this much, while keeping the fire as small as possible. His hands seemed to radiate orange light as he did so, for fire was raging within the tough grip he had on the metal and the light was escaping through the small spaces between his fingers.

The amount of light he caused with his fire was much like light of a campfire. His face was lit as if he was about to tell a spooky ghost story, as his head was slightly above the light, casting grim shadows on his face. The light of the fire revealed details of everyone in this space, though Sapphire was so focused on the metal, that he didn't notice any of them. The fire took his full concentration. Pearls of sweat were forming on his forehead, as well as over his chest.

He hoped it wouldn't heat the temperature too much inside the vehicle, but it did clearly have some effect as he attempted to reach about 700 degrees Celsius within is hands. Out of experience, he knew it would work better and quicker if he would increase it to 1000 degrees Celsius, but he doubted that was safe. Whenever he did that, he made sure to have enough distance and just blast the fire, as that was so much easier. This required so much precision and concentration to keep the fire so small.

"mhm" Sapphire hummed. "Either seeing how heat proof the door is, or waiting till it opens up and then making a run for it" he answered in a whisper. He didn't inform the other that making a run for it would actually involve flying off and perhaps destroying some obstacles in his way. Surely, they couldn't actually believe they would catch a dragon this easily, could they? Oh yes, of course, they had succeeded in getting him here, without any recollection of what happened. Perhaps they had taken him by surprise. His presence here didn't mean anything yet, he decided.

He had a small grin on his face as he was working with the metal. The chain was slowly turning orange hot. At that point, Sapphire attempted to pull the chain apart, quickly yanking it. As the metal was now at a shapeable heat, it slowly stretched with Sapphires movement. Just as Sapphire assumed he'd have to retry to process, for it hadn't been successful enough, he saw one of the links was opening. His grin got bigger. Completely focused on the chain, he put all his strength to it to open it further. Suddenly the link snapped under Sapphire's power, making Sapphire fall back against the wall of the car as the chains slid out of his hands. It didn't feel pleasant for his back at all. But he ignored it, telling himself it was nothing. He looked at the chains, which had fallen down to the floor. Their hot orange colour disappearing and with that, the light in the space was also disappearing again.

Now the dude still had handcuffs on, but at least they were no longer connected to the chain. If any of the others would pay attention, then they could pull the chain and actually get their handcuffs released from the chain too, enabling them all to run away when the door would be opened. Not that Sapphire would inform them of this. And it seemed one of them was already on to it. Someone smelling like dog was pulling the chain. It reminded him of weird the people here smelled, like cat, like dog, like blood.. And they weren't really freaking out, making him conclude that these were no ordinary people either.

"..something is going on.." he mumbled, as it felt like the vehicle was slowing down.

Nathaniel was thankful that the guy was able to separate the chains from his metallic handcuffs, but he was able to see the guy's real appearance through the light. He was a handsome lad no doubt about it, but Nathan didn't roll that way, No! He had the bad boy look down, maybe he had a girlfriend or girlfriends. Nathaniel was curious as to why the guy was actually here, but he decided not to ask.

The vehicle has skidded to a stop, causing the individuals that were still chained bump into each other and fall off their seats. There were grunts, moans, and he even heard animal sounds. Wait, why were there animals in here? "Hey, that's not fair!" A female voice called out, struggling to stand up from her fall. "Why won't you release us as well?" It was the nekojin, her appearance was hidden in the darkness but you could tell that she was sweating from the heat of the car.

Sapphire's heart beat increased as he braced himself for the stop of the vehicle. He had to be prepared if the door opened. For all he knew, he just had one chance, and no more. He had to make sure he succeeded.

The strange noises some made caused Sapphire to from. So.. animalistic.. Smelling like one was one thing, but sounding like them? 'Do they look like animals too?' Sapphire thought to himself sarcastically. People were strange.

Sapphire his frown got even deeper as a female voice complaint. He was doubting whether to or not to answer her, but he decided to ignore her. He didn't owe her an answer. Besides, why would he get into a discussion with her? The risk was he'd miss out on his chance to escape, merely because that missy felt he had done her injustice by not releasing her too. As if he was required to help everyone, if he helped only one. Stupid humans, he thought to himself.

Holding his breath, he tried to listen in on the surroundings. Something was being discussed in the cab area, but there was just as much sound outside too. He heard more engines, sounding much alike the engine of this vehicle, leading him to believe that they probably weren't the only one in this situation. This was probably the end station, wherever this was..

"..they're coming.." Sapphire mumbled focused, stretching his neck, then completely focusing on the door, doubting whether he should get closer to it. He couldn't see it well enough, how they would have to release the others. He decided to take the risk, and he walked over to the door, pressing himself against the car wall, and just waiting, stalking it in hope they would carelessly open it. Then he would barge out.

"...Man, those freakss are awake," A slurred voice was heard from the front of the van. Car doors were being open and a pair if feet collapsed upon the concrete ground. "Man, I ****ing hate this job.." The drunken speech came from a thin man, he was fair and had rosy cheeks. His brown hair fell into his eyes, not letting him see all of his surroundings. He was holding a beer bottle in his right hand, and the van keys in his left.

His partner was female, she looked like the typical Barbie doll; standing five feet and eight inches tall, with straight blonde hair, blue eyes, but she had scars around her face that looked like she has been in a war or two. "God, you're pathetic." She said, bending down to snatch the car keys from him. The Amazon woman twirled the keys around her index finger and walked over to the van...

The nekojin grunted as the boy ignored her and went back to leaning against the wall. Nathaniel heard two people hop out of the van, one fell and another landed gracefully. He heard voices as well, a drunken male voice had called them freaks. Freaks? Nathaniel was no freak! He was average, ordinary... Well, not really, he was a vampire. But what were the others? What was the mohawk guy? Footsteps had interrupted his thoughts, the hybrids noises grew silent as the graceful footsteps had stopped. Nathan rushed forward and grabbed the guy's arm, trying to pull him back from the wall. "Someone's here, this is no normal car.." But it was too late, the keys were inserted in and the woman quickly slid the van door open. She reached behind her and took the now attached to her back out, she placed the arrow in the notch and placed her fingers on the back oft he arrow. "Out, all of you, now."

Sapphire stood prepared. Any moment now, they would probably open up the door. And when they did, he so going to get out of this place. He was sure of it. He glared at the guy, who suddenly grabbed his arm and tried to pull him back. "...So?" Sapphire asked frustrated, his eyes flashing red for a moment. But his attention had been with the guy, as the doors were opened. He focused on the doors again, but darnit, he had been too late! If only that guy hadn't distracted him, he would have had the perfect timing! But now a weapon was aimed at him. With a slight grunt of frustration he did as the woman told him. He was sure he could take her, but he was less sure about how capable he'd be with an arrow through his heart. He got out of the van, shortly after he was followed by the others.

Though Sapphire wasn't just going to keep it with this. His eyes glanced around, quickly checking the environment. There were more vans where the same situation took place. Looking around, he noticed the high walls surrounding them. Within the area of the walls stood on gigantic building. It looked plain, functional without any decorative value, just concrete blocks. The windows it had, all had bars in front of them. It gave Sapphire another reason not to wait. It would be more difficult to escape when inside, than escaping now. Sure, they were probably expecting some escape attempts, but he doubted they'd expect a dragon. In the corner of his eyes he could see the man that was with the woman, he smelled of alcohol, but still had a weapon aimed.

Hearing footsteps of a group coming closer, probably to help out with unloading them, Sapphire decided it was time. Any later, and they would probably chain him again. He felt his heartbeat increase, as the adrenaline was pumping through his body. Someone at one of the other vans gave a yell. It seemed it took the attention of the weapon-wielders. In this split second Sapphire made a run for it, after hardly a two meter sprint, he jumped up in the sky, swiftly switching to his majestic dragon form.

His fierce red eyes created a marvellous contrast with his skin that was made of royal blue scales which had a delicate sheen over them. Starting from his head, he had spikes coming out of his skin following his spine, all the way down to the very end of his long tail. His head was adorned with two sharp and potentially deadly horns. He spread his wide and pointy wings. Just like the rest of his body, they were muscular. His hands and feet had changed into big claws. Where he had been just a cute, cuddle miniature dragon minutes ago, he was a true weapon of mass destruction now. Or so he could be, with the right mindset. He gave a roar as he flew higher in the sky, easily reaching the height of the walls and higher. He was surprised no one shot at him, though their arrows wouldn't hurt this form of his. A grin appeared on his dragon face, revealing his deadly sharp teeth, capable of cracking one's skull without effort.

Ha! Those fools! Now they could see no one could just capture a dragon like that. Or so Sapphire thought, until he suddenly hit something, a kind of force field, which gave off a very strong shock, almost electrocuting him. Had he been in any smaller form, it would have killed him. Instantly, he tumbled down from the sky like a rag doll, unconscious, halfway in his fall reverting to his human form.

Nathaniel held up his hands in defense when the mohawk guy pulled away from him. His loss... Nathan thought when the van door slid open. A beautiful scarred woman ordered them to get out with a bow equipped. Nathaniel along with the other supernaturals walked out of the car, The woman didn't notice that he wasn't chained to the long chain thankfully. The woman's name was called and she gave everyone a warning glare before walking off to see what the fuss was all about.

The guy sprinted away from the group and Nathaniel couldn't help but follow him. All of a sudden, he disappeared again. Where did he go now? The Dhampir awkwardly just stood there looking around, until the guy fell on the electrified fences. Nathaniel sprinted over and picked him up, he was quite heavy... All of a sudden, Nathaniel was electrocuted and he fell fainted on the ground.

As both the dragon and the Dhampir lay unconscious on the hard and cold concrete ground, the guards made sure to focus everyone's attention on them. Though some guards seemed quite amused by it all, others put up a very stern and serious attitude. Some figure arose on the scene, wearing an expensive looking black suit, with some white sign on it. The man seemed to have a very important role, as the guards saluted him with a nod and the casual yet respectful "Sir".

The well-dressed man looked down at the freaks. In the friendliest voice he conveyed a most serious and threatening matter. He emphasized that this should serve as an example for everyone: attempting to escape was useless and that any and all future attempts would be severely punished, in such a way that one would wish for their death.

After that uplifting speech the freaks, as the guards referred to them, were led into the concrete building, where who knew what was waiting for them. In perfect lines of two by two they were forced to continue their way into the building, getting 'gentle' pokes with sticks or shocks if they did not follow the orders as desired. Soon enough practically everyone had a most depressed expression on their face, as they all disappeared into the building.

However, on the cold ground the dragon and the Dhampir were still laying. It was starting to get colder outside, but that made no one hurry to help the two. The leader figure discussed the situation with the guards. He wanted these two to stay alive and be a proper example for everyone to get some discipline into those disgusting creatures. Had it not been for the government, he would rather have seen them dead, alike many other humans. But as the government had made their choice, this leader could do no else than respect their wishes, whilst doing so, making it a hell for all the freaks that got to this place.

So after some minutes of discussion they had called in a medic. An official white coated medic came rushing to the scene, unknowing what to expect. But after a swift check-up with some marvellous technologic scanner, it appeared neither of the freaks had any serious wounds. Though the kind hearted medic would have loved to help them with the wound the two did have, the medic was sent away. The leader ought it to be a part of their punishment, to suffer from any non-lethal wounds they had gotten thanks to their own stupidity. It might even help to prevent any future endeavours, he reckoned.

With the quick medical checks done, the leader gave a nod to the guards, then walked off to do who knows what. The guards, a group of eight guards, roughly dragged along the two bodies. It was easily enough for two to deal with their weight, but in case either of these freaks awoke, they wanted to make sure it was handled swiftly. After all, these were the examples for the others. The two freaks were brought into a cell without any means. It was a white walled cell, looking much like one of those rooms in psychiatric hospitals. The cell wasn't really big, at most it was three by three metres. When the two were dumped into the room, they closed off the cell. The cell now looked more like a closed box, as there was no clear sign of what the door was and there were no windows either.

The room was a bit cold with fifteen degrees Celsius, but that was exactly what they had intended. It had been decided to put these two freaks together into the isolation, where they were to enjoy the lack of comfort. The leader actually hoped that they would get into a fight, so that they wouldn't help eachother out anymore. It would be perfect to set them back with the others whilst hating eachother. Therefore they had planned not to feed either of the freaks, simply to make the confrontation quicker.

The room pretty much isolated everything from the outside, not just the lack of seeing anything else than this cell, but it was soundproof, as well as that it locked good enough to keep out scents as well. The complete lack of input actually awoke Sapphire. For the second time today, he was blessed with a headache. He opened up his eyes, yet squinted as the white light felt bright and painful. Just stared at the white ground for a bit, as he was awaking and adjusting to the light. The lack of sounds already warned him. The ground already told him he was somewhere else. Someone had moved him, as he recalled falling down from the sky after receiving that painful shock, like being struck by lightning.

With a soft sigh he got himself to sit up. Carefully he leaned back, against the wall. He took his time to look around, eventhough there was little to see,-just white walls and the guy from the truck on the ground,- as if he needed a moment to register it all. He could feel his muscles aching all over his body, even at places of which he had never known he could feel muscle ache there. Gently he simultaneously ran his hands through his blue Mohawk. Sapphire felt awful, and to make matters worse, he felt his stomach rumble. How long had it been since his last meal?

Shivering slightly, he glanced down at the guy from the back of the truck. What did he do here? What would that guy have done, earning him a place here? Though Sapphire didn't know much about this whole situation, this clearly seemed to be some kind of punishment. And it felt rather successful, as he was rather uncomfortable.

He wondered whether the guy was alright. He had such a pale skin, that Sapphire wondered whether perhaps the guy was sick. Perhaps the guy even needed medical attention. Doubting what to do about it, Sapphire looked at him. Maybe he was drawing conclusions too fast. This was a strange place, with strange people. And maybe it was simply the freshness of this room that made the guy's skin so pale.
