While it was unusual to find an elvish individual who lived an athletic physical existence, Aennen was a rare breed indeed. He was a blonde haired svelte elf, though that might not have been quite accurate. Considering all of the time that he spent in the water and under the sun, his hair might very well have been a darker hue and could have lightened up over time.

This actually was the case, but he hadn't stayed out of the water for any extended period of time long enough for his hair to adjust back again.

Pointed ears poked out of this aforementioned hair, as if there were any need to remind anyone of his race beyond his otherworldly silvery eyes and prominent elvish name.

Black tattoo patterns curled up his fingers and arms before running across his shoulders and upper back then finally down a toned side. The fact that he only needed to wear relatively long shorts had apparently put this tattooing on display for the world to see without any sort of embarrassment on the part of the aforementioned elf.

Grasping his carved length of wood, he once more started to run off to the sea, a look of determination mixed with laid-back aggression playing out across his features.

What he didn't know, though, was that today was going to be a little different considering the fact that there were individuals living in this water he had not been acquainted with, and he could have had no way of judging their response as to what they might have thought about him being there.

Still, for now, he just continued with his normal expression and leaped upwards, ducking into the water with his aforementioned surfboard.

These waves looked like some of the gnarliest he'd seen yet, and he was ready to dominate every one of them.

Had Aennen looked down in the water he might of seen a odd sight.

ayeka was laying at the bottom just relaxing. her yellow scales shinning a bit as the sunlight comes through the water. around her eyes was a streak of blue scales that went back to what most people thought was hair but was her dorsle fin.

she was wearing a creamed color shirt that wasn't quiet form fitting but not lose enought to slow her down in the water. her pants was the same but black. on either side of her hips there was a short sword strap to a belt.

when a shadow goes over her she opens her eyes. thinking that moved way to fast for a cloud and she was right. what in the world was that. she thought.

quickly she swam up towards it. stopping as the object with someone on it dove under the water then back up. what is that land person up to. she thought and swam over to him still staying under the board. she wanted to look at it before talking to him. carefully she would reach out and touch it before knocking on it as she tried to fiuger it out.

While Aennen was quite aware, considering that he didn't want to get into an accident, he couldn't see Ayeka just yet, considering that he was paying attention on his motions for the time being.

If he saw anything like a glint of light, then he would have just thought that he were looking at a fish.

Once he surfaced on the crest of the inside of a wave, Aennen grinned and threw back his hair to purge water from it. Soon enough he was letting his feet rest totally on the surfboard and he was riding across the waves in turn.

This, to him, was the ultimate feeling of freedom.

Then, however, he felt his board get knocked on by her hand. He could usually recover from striking something, but that made him loose his balance because it was a rhythmic tapping.

In a few moments his board went straight up while he ended up bobbing into the water, ducking to avoid the aforementioned surfboard from hitting his head.

"Hey! What gives?!"

Ayeka's eyes go wide as she sees the board shift and fly straight up. Quickly she dove down to avoid being hit by either the board or the person.

Once she was at a safe distance she would look back up. Hearing him speak she debated for a moment on going to go talk to him or not.

Her kind was know for not being social at all. Crowds scared them but this was just one other.

Noticing the board was floating away she quickly swam over and grabbed it with one hand before she dragged it back to him. Still staying in the water for the most part

He didn't know what was going on at all at this point. The elfen surfer had only caught sight of her briefly, though Aennen fully saw her as soon as she brought his surfboard back toward him.

Nervously rubbing the back of his head a bit, he tried to smile toward her and gently swallowed.

"Uhh, thanks, but I think you were actually the cause of me going under like that."

Unlike her species, he didn't really seem fearful of any sort of outside interaction.

Ayeka would look at him with her yellow eyes as he spoke before coming up out of the water some. Knowing it would be easier for them to speak.

" half fault. You swim in my home with strange board " she says sofly. Moving the board to him "what is this?"

While he was glad that she did that to help him speak, Aennen stayed in the water for now. He was more than happy with doing so.

"What? You've never actually seen a surfboard from anyone before?"

Apparently he was genuinely surprised by this fact and made it look like she should have.

She shakes her head a bit. " no I haven't. I'm newer to this area. There was no surfboards where I was from."

Looking at the board again she would run her hand over it carefully. " what's it for?"

Apparently Aennen was rather taken aback by the fact that she wasn't at all familiar with it. "You mean you really don't know...well, you ride on it!" The elf suddenly grinned. "Did you want to see?"

He didn't seem to have any qualms about demonstrating it.

For that matter, he almost seemed entirely too excited to.

She would look back at him and almost glare. " would I asked I have known what it is for?" Looking out across the sea she could not help but wonder where he was riding it to

"Sure" she says and watches him. She was still curious about the board

"Hey hey, you don't have to be so standoffish you know!" Aennen was, perhaps, used to rather mellow people because of his chosen scene.

Taking the board back slowly, he started to climb back on it with his stomach flat down on it. "You don't ride it to places; you ride the waves. Mind letting me show you by getting' outta the way?"

Ayeka was about to say something but stopped. She didn't think she was being stand offish but he was a land dewlwer who knows what they think.

Watching him get on the board she nods a bit. "Ok" she says and moves away. Keeping a eye on him

Well, to the laid-back elf, she seemed quite standoffish. Regardless of how anything was taken, he soon reached out his board again and ducked underneath the water before paddling a bit so that he would have come once again to the area underneath one of the waves.

Apparently he was getting ready to stand up on the board, hoping to show her what this was used for.

she would watch him tring to fuiger out how he could be so relaxed. perhapes things was a long more different on land then in the water. noticing him trying to stand up or at least getting ready to she would tilt her head to the side a bit.

Despite her curiosity as to how he could be so relaxed, he didn't really show much more emotion than maybe a bit of joy as he finally started to lean back into his board and allowed it to carve up and down the inside of the wave that he was riding. When he stood on the board, he didn't seem to use any real effort to do so.

What she might not have realized, of course, was that if he had at all fought with the board or tried to use it too forcefully that he would have been thrown straight off of it.

she would blink seeing him surf. never had she seen anything like that before and it looked very intersting. she would swim a little to make sure she could keep him in eyesight.

Soon enough it would have gotten increasingly difficult to follow him as he started to curl off the edge of the wave. Leaning back into his board a bit, he started to roam off the top of the wave's crest and shoot straight into the sky before coming off and down into the water again.

Eventually he would have come to rest on his board straight in front of her.

He pushed back his hair with a grin, freeing it from some of the water inside for the time being.

Apparently he had wanted her reply before he said anything.

when she was no longer able to keep up with him she would just tred the water and watched. becoming more and more fastenated with what he was doing. when he went up into the air her eyes go wide. never had she seen a person able to do that. dolphins and whales yes but a person no.

when he comes and sits on his board infront of her she would reach out and softly touch the board. " that...that was fastanting. never had i seen anything like that before."

With a tilt of his head and something of a smirk, Aennen showed a bit more aggression in his expressions than before, but they still were not at all laced with cockiness. Turning back toward her, he folded his arms up after she had touched his board.

"Did you want to try going for a ride on it? You seem pretty impressed."

She would look to him and study him for a moment. " is it hard? and what is the point of riding the waves?" it was clear she was still a little confused on what this was all about still. though she was still very intersted in it.
