More than anything, he had again wanted to be a dragon, but continued to remind himself that in the modern world that wasn't really an option. The area that he had been put into guardianship of since time immemorial was no longer a natural preserve where various birds and animals of the land would come to rest, but rather had become a condominium and amusement park development.

To make matters worse, the humans had apparently not continued to use many parts of the facility that they had constructed for themselves. They, for reasons unbeknownst to him, had abandoned the amusement park. He wasn't at all sure how that had happened to be perfectly honest.

Naturally he had little understanding of human economic practices, but he wished that they would at least use what they had. Sighing gently, he started his lonely walk up would have appeared, to anyone who could see it, as a giant bathhouse, which was apparently what he had worked at these days.

Considering that his original occupation as a guardian dragon was, today, defunct, it would have seemed that this were now his occupation and his day-to-day task. Still, though, he longed to get out but couldn't have possibly shared that with anyone or admitted it to him or her under any circumstances.

He simply felt that for the time being it was best to relax and settle into his newer life. It was all he had, and continuing to fight it for now wouldn't really open any further doors to him. Exhaling once more, he shut his eyes in turn and did his best not to reminisce about his earlier life. It wouldn't have done him any good after all.

Grasping a pail of water, Haku started to turn around again and allowed his straight-cut hair to follow along with his every motion. If he was forced to take the form of a human, then at least he was going to keep himself up and maintain his body as at least an aesthetically pleasing human.

It wasn't anything out of vanity so much as he was genuinely about respecting himself regardless of what situation he was forced into.

Honey was walking through the woods. She had recently moved to her new town from her old one and she was lonely. She left all of her friends behind, causing her to go back to the quiet and reserved girl she was before she met them.

Honey walked deep in thought, but her thoughts were suddenly broken when her foot slipped and she was sent tumbling down a small hill, she finally came to a stop on a dirt path, she rubbed her head in a bit of pain and looked up only to be face to face with a stone with a strange fave on it. Surprised by the face, Honey jumped back in fear and let out a small yelp. When she realized what it was she looked up and saw a long tunnel with a faint light leading at the end of it. She tilted her head and curiously walked inside.

On the other side was what seemed to be an abandoned train station. "Wow..." She mumbled softly as she walked through looking about. There was yet again another tunnel with a light at the end of it, this time it was brighter. She walked to it and was sent outside in a meadow, in the distance Honey could see what looked like buildings. She furrowed her brow and looked behind her before walking towards the buildings.

"It's an abandoned amusement park?" She asked herself softly. She noticed that there was a faint sent of food in the distance but something told her that eating it wouldn't be the best thing to do at that moment. Honey kept walking until she came to a bridge that lead to what looked like a clock tower. She stood on one of the rungs of the bridge and looked over seeing some ruined railroad tracks. "Hmm.." She said softly.

Well that was strange. It actually seemed that someone from the human realm was across the bridge from the bathhouse that he worked at. Considering that he had finished with what he was doing before hand, it seemed that he was comfortable enough to observe for the time being.

However, that started to change in a few moment as Honey actually made the unusual and unnecessary step of...crossing to that first rung. As soon as she did she might very well have started to hear the sounds of those who were confined to the spirit realm for all eternity.

Those sounds would have covered everything from spirits who were rejoicing and exhibiting revelry all the way to those who were eternally condemned and complaining about their unhappy state. It certainly wasn't something that was pleasant by any means, and most humans would have been understandably frightened.

Haku was soon enough trying to signal the other, hoping that she wouldn't cross the bridge. To that he was soon doing his best to add a verbal warning, but at this distance he had no idea if she could have heard him or not:

"Do not stay here beyond the fall of night, or else you will join the rest!"

Knowing full well that she was a child concerned him, though, since it made it far more likely that she would have dismissed what it was that he was saying and ignored everything that he was saying. Children were so often pure, but they were also so often ignorant of such things and they would often ignore warnings from anyone and that of course had included spirit guardians as well.

He started to look around, needing to find seeds for her to eat so that he would have ensured her escape.

This was precisely the reason that he had never wanted to have humans living so near to this glade.

Honey heard strange sounds now. Definitely something she didn't like or never want to hear. She looked around when things started to change, and not for the better. She heard a voice that sounded familiar to her, she turned and saw a boy with a short blue hair cut. "Oh... Um..." She couldn't get any words out. It was almost like her voice stopped working. She was becoming increasingly scared with the things around her.

"You are not supposed to be here!" Haku sighed trying to collect what seeds he could before he lifted up his garment in an opportunity to permit himself to get over to her.

"Here! You are already too far! Eat these and be sure to not spend the night, else you will be like the rest and never leave!" At this point, the spirit-boy was seemingly standing right in front of her.

Judging by his haircut and clothing, Haku would have stepped straight out of a history book.

Honey blinked softly and just kept looking at the boy. She hadn't had noticed that the sun was starting to set and a loud bell rang from the bathhouse right above her. She looked up and then back to the boy. She saw spirits that were black with sludge, she started to become scared and nervous. 'Where am I?' She thought to herself. She shakily took the food that the boy offered her and ate it.

"I think that you better come this way. If we were not to find someplace for you to go, then I am unsure what might happen!" Haku seemed to speak rather formally, which might have helped to drive home the idea that she had traveled back in time or something in spite of the fact that she hadn't.

Soon having turned the other way, it seemed like Haku was leading her somewhere else since he had wished to get her away from all of these spirits. He knew that a mere human like her wouldn't have been able to adjust to this kind of thing without a guide.

Perhaps in having made himself her impromptu guide he was essentially fulfilling that old guardianship order that he had.

Honey was a bit hesitant to follow the strange boy. But when some spirits starts to stare down at her in wanting she gave a shudder and followed. She walked close beside the boy and tried to keep up with his fast pace which was a bit successful but he was much more graceful than her. Honey was always a bit on the clumsy side, even as a child she always had some trouble putting one foot in front of the other and not tripping over absolutely nothing. She would get picked on for it in school but her close friend Lana just told the bullies to quite being jerks. She smiled at the memory softly but then her smile faded when she remembered where she was.

Unlike her it had actually seemed that he was, indeed, rather graceful in his motions and did his best to pull her along if she were to falter at all. It seemed rather important to him to ensure that she would have gotten out of danger.

Looking down for the time being, he turned back and exhaled, "Do not stand still merely out of fear; as I said we have to keep going."

Shaking his head in the process, Haku reminded himself that he was supposed to be her guardian considering that she had ended up here.

"You are a living human, correct? Someone who has not perished? You are now walking in the land of the spirits whether you are aware you were going here or not!"
