Sophia dragged her siser into the back room and helped her into the bed. She was rather tired of all of this ridiculous circumstance. Even as mortals, these men were more trouble than they were worth. Perhaps she would just heal them and let them leave? If that didn't work, and they attempted to strike at her again, she would have to do something to protect her sister.

Jolta was out cold after a little bit, but something wasn't exactly right.

Storm clouds started to build overhead as a nightmare flared to life in his mind.
He was envisioning that Athren had been killed, his emotions feeding the weather outside.

His powers were returning, and there was going to be one hell of a downpour in a few minutes...

The storm on the horizon did not go unnoticed. However, it was chalked up to natural cloud formation rather than anything involving the former gods. Sophia dabbed lightly at the pultis she'd applied to the unconcious man's wounds and covered them with the cheesecloths she'd untied from the upper arms and re-bound oround the wounds. Afterward, she sat in a chair and gazed at Athren.
"Shall I treat your wounds as well?" She asked rather bitterly.

Athren leered at the older female, hugging his brother tighter in his arms.

No thanks! He snarled, not even realizing it was to her mind instead of actually spoken.
His powers were also starting to resurface, and boy would he be a nasty god to deal with when that happens...

Sophia sighed and turned away. If he didn't want her held than so be it. She really didn't care one way or the other. However, she did have one more idea up her sleeve should anything go amiss. It was a long long shot, but it would be worth it if it worked.

Jolta slowly shifted in to his little yellow fox form as he slept, giving Athren the chance to lift him much easier.

He walked past Sophia and out the front door, moving a little to rest against the side of the house.
Athren sat down calmly, not jostling Jolta at all.
The wind outside was extremely pleasant and calming, the hint of incoming rain making it all-the-more desirable to stay outside instead of sitting inside that stuffing cottage.

Athren would have honestly ran with Jolta, but he'd taken more damage than his older brother and definitely wouldn't be running any time soon.
After about ten minutes he found his eyes closing, unable to hold back from the sleep that pulled at him.

(I'm not sure where to go with this from here. If they're getting their powers back it would be more profitable for Sophia to kill them, but she doesn't know they're getting their powers back. I know as a character she'd just go out there and stab them both to death, but that's not much for the story.)

(haha true, what about giving them an injection or drink that would turn them in to their fox forms for a bit, maybe she'd get to liking them and they might not hate the girls so much? Can put leashes on them lol)

(I'd thought about that. With their powers came back I'd figure they'd just kill them and leave. I wasn't sure how it would all turn out but I can try. I'm not giving up yet.)

Sophia watched them from the window and considered their options. She finally came to the conclusion that she didn't want to kill them. And that little girl was still around somewhere. She'd either found someone else or was waiting. With her sister still asleep, sophia collected a few things and made a space below the window to begin her ritual. She would leave them in their fox forms. They would live, but they would not be a threat.

Ophellia glanced from behind a hillock and watched the two men as they left the cottage. She approached slowly and looked over the men as they slept, especially the small injured one. She sighed and went back toward the woods to find something for them to eat. It was hard enough to find food for just her, but now she had to collect enough berries and nuts for all three of them. She would be gone for a while.

Athran found himself curled up with Jolta, both of them now foxes, their colors of blue and gold clashing yet somehow melding perfectly with each other.

The two small gods were unaware of what was going on, enjoying the stormy oncoming weather and focusing their energy on healing their wounds.

The ritual had taken a little to prepare, but Sophia had finally gotten everything into position and began to chant something in an ancient tongue. She held a candle up to the window and gazed through the fire at the spot where the little foxes lay. Originally this rite was used to bind witches in their alternate form, she guessed she'd be able to use it on them as well.

Jolta was starting to wake up by the time the ritual was finished being prepared. The tiny gold fox yawned sleepily and started trying to get up but his arms were still to damaged to carry his weight, bringing the small animal back down to the ground in confusion.

His warm gold eyes glanced up at the female, confused and worried about what was going on.

(I'm really sorry I haven't gotten on in a while. I haven't been able to get on the internet since we've been able to move)

Ophellia returned with her dress held up to her knees. It was laiden with nuts, berries and a few eggs that looked like they'd come from a small bird's nest. She glanced down at the foxes, wondering why they'd stopped there and remained in their animal state. She'd began to speak, but stopped when she noticed the glance cast toward the house. "Are they still watching us?" She asked meekly, holding tight to her dress full of food.

Sophia watched them from the window, the little girl had returned and she wondered if that might pose a problem. Perhaps not, considering she was so young. It would be the other two that would cause trouble.

Jolta inched over towards the female, his stomach growling loudly.
He eyed the food in her skirt, his tongue flicking over his lips as he tried to get his back legs to work.
The tiny fox got points for effort but his wound was to bad to allow him to use his hind legs so soon.
So, instead, he started whining, flattening his ears to his head and begging for the food.

Sure he could drink blood as well, but he highly doubted they'd offer such a thing, though them giving him the eggs and nuts was probably an even further stretch.

(It's Ophellia with the eggs and nuts.)

The young girl watched as the little fox whined for the food. She sat on the ground near him and spread her skirt out like a table cloth. She held the eggs out to him in cupped hands and hoped that he wouldn't bite her.
