After centuries of war with each other, there finally came a time when all six nations of Cretia united under a truce of peace in the fortified walls of Sanctum. This long awaited peace came thanks to the emergence of the Six Great Dragons. They each claimed one rider from each nation and brought the war to a halt. However, during the signing of the Six Nation Truce in Sanctum a great and terrible force swept over the city. From its’ blackened sky came tornadoes of fire and lightning, ripping apart everything in their paths. Shadowy demons descended picking off those who barely escaped the fiery twisters. The Dragons and their riders fought bravely that night, but even they were bested by the power of what came to be known as the Cataclysm.

When it all ended there were very few survivors. Only the Dragons and a handful of nobles from each nation managed to crawl out from the rubble. Grumbling, the nobles fled Sanctum claiming that it was a cursed city and peace would never happen between the nations. The Dragons fled as well, flying off into hiding while mourning the loss of their riders and swearing to discover the source of the Cataclysm, and make sure that it never happens again.

Ok so that’s the short and sweet background story. This is how this works:

-There will be 5 riders total, that means 5 players total for this thread

-Each player makes a character sheet for themselves and their dragon. They each will also
name the nation from which they are from. [Note: if this thread reaches a conclusion, your player (and
dragon) will become the rulers of their particular nation.

-This is a fantasy/medieval setting so keep that in mind when making characters (i.e NO modern clothing, NO cars, ect…)

The story takes place 10 years after the events of the Cataclysm and each player will start in their nation and work up the first few posts so that they end up meeting their dragon. Then the real adventure begins. After all the spots are filled, i'll post up the OOC and then obviously get the party started with the IC shortly afterwards.
