MARVELous Newcomers [interest check]

So here's the idea: A MARVEL Universe RP, but to spice it up, adding OCs as well

I will be allowing absolutely anyone from MARVEL universe. Heroes and Villains alike. this means that it will be necessary to fill some key figure's shoes before we begin.

This also means that those wishing to play an OC will be required to also play 1 Canon for every 2 OCs, rounding down if they have an odd number of OCs, and up if they have 1 only.

If this gets enough interest, I will discuss a plot in the OOC section with those interested. As of right now I have several OCs, and will be playing as Nick Fury and a few of the main characters that no one else wants for good measure. (the Samuel L. Jackson one for those curious.)

Hi everyone, can I join to your RPG? I have never read any Marvel's story, but I hope it isn't a requirement :) . I have several favorite characters and I want to reserve two: Eobard Thawne (Reverse Flash, also know as Harrison Wells) and Bane. I might choose one character, but now I am not sure.

Look, magnus... those are great characters... but they are DC universe characters. This is Marvel centered. I can't allow DC into my MARVEL RP

As I wrote, I am not an expert in comic books and I can make mistakes in this area. But I will adjust to the requirements.
I searched The Web and found one character which is appropriate for me :) . I want to reserve Venom. It is a fictional villain appearing in comic books about Spider-Man published by Marvel. I hope that you will accept my choose.
On the other side, we can close Reverse Flash in imagined capsule and send him to the parallel world. It could be fun :) . We should be creative because this is "Creative Freedom" forum.

@Magnus : It is fine if you reserve Venom, but as I said before, I would rather not have DC characters in this RP. I realize this is indeed "Creative Freedom" as you said, but I cannot justify allowing a DC character without making this an entire MARVEL X DC which I have done before, and it failed miserably. Therefore I will be disallowing DC for everyone rather than choosing to allow it for some people and not others. I hope you understand.

Of course I understand the rules. The last paragraph of my previous post is only a joke and you shouldn't take it seriously. Next time I will mark appropriately such intention in the text.
Summarizing, you have accepted Callisto, Punisher, Iron Man and Venom (or not?). I want to clarify several things:
1) How many participants do you need to start the story (RPG)?
2) Which kind of story it will be? Will it be action, horror, mystery, comedy... psychological thriller :) ?
3) Can we (players) influence on the plot?
4) Can we plot (to make a secret plan)?

@Fearless Sissy, you add likes to every post of @JDizzle383 in this thread (especially these posts with a reprimand for me), so maybe you join to us?

@Magnus unfortunately, I cannot join. I'm in far too many RPs already, but as I find the Marvelverse interesting, I will certainly read along to see where the story takes you all!

I have been liking JD's posts because I found them to be courteous but firm, which are traits I can appreciate in a GM.

Yes, I have accepted Callisto, Iron Man, Punisher, and Venom. I would like to know though, are you using Eddie Brock? Flash Thomson? I know quite a lot about Venom's several hosts, and am just curious which one you'd be using as Flash Thomson's Venom hasno reason to kill Spider Man while Eddie Brock is obsessed with doing just that even though Venom considers itself an Anti-hero in both cases.

1) I will be starting the OOC today and adding the Char Sheet and RP info as well. when it is set up and we all discuss the necessities then it will start.
2) It was originally planned as an Action/Adventure, however there is a possibility that changes during the RP
3) Yes. I plan on allowing the plot to change based on the actions of the RPers
4) I was counting on it. plot twists are always great and without influence on plot, they never happen.
