Something I had been working on....kinda. Its out there, but I think it might be fun, if I could come up with a decent plot.

This is a rough draft, and not set in concrete merely looking for oppinions and such, if people find it interesting then maybe we can make something work.
Please send feedback! Also I am not a strong GM, if anyone would like to take the helm on this one, please by all means, I'd only ask you discuss all aspects of the RP with me first. More than likely I'll OK it.

Frangeria and its island neighbor Olrian benefited from hundreds of years worth of peace and free trade. Until the bastard prince came to power. Overthrowing his uncle King Touran, Northcut began a long reign of terror and death. Slaughtering any and all who may oppose him or his ruthless regime. Having the largest army of the region he systematically absord all nearby kingdoms. Once conquered, the ruling families of each Kingdom are crucified and left at the capitol city main gate. It had been discovered that King Northcut had used magic to summon tomes of power from another dimension. (they were actually US army combat manuals). With their new found knowledge of warfare no one army, or any combined may stand a remote chance against this large onslaught. The invasion of Frangeria was swift and silent. Having crept into the dock in the small hours of the morning the troops were able to not only seize the capitol city, but capture and ultimately, execute the ruling family.
In desperation Frangerian mages from the now fallen kingdom held a summoning. The Kingdom was given leadership from the gods. A man who knows to lead, has more than just combat knowledge able to lead civilians and military. The mages summoned a US Marine Gunnery Sergeant to help them with the war. It was because of the gunnery sergeant from our time, named Lord Gunny that the Republic of Frangeria(at the time the fallen Kingdom of Frangeria) were able to manufacture bolt action single shot rifles and revolvers. Because of this the tide of war has been turned. Before Frangeria was out numbered 10-1 on the battlefield. Battles would yield no survivors for Frangerian troop. Because of theses new weapons, though, the war has taken a different turn. Now it only take up to 30 men to hold off an entire invading force. With the new found equipment, and training Frangeria was able to repel the invaders from their home. Although scars will remain for all time. The kingdom was no longer a kingdom, having the entire ruling blood line decimated. Lord Gunny came up with a new concept of governing the people. He called it a republic. Three branches of government that shares power, although ultimate power is deferred to the people. Elections are held every 4th fall.
This was 45 years ago.
The war is technically still going on, though niether side have had a major campaign against the other in over 40 years. Since the first rifles made were crude, and hastily made Lord Gunny brought the people of Frangeria together, created workshops, factories, gun smithing became a popular trade, and well paying. The war effort made the country prosperous more research had been given toward the rifles, better metallurgy techniques, higher quality springs, and firing pins. The current rifle, the Sig-Cow is currently being field tested by Frangerian Marines, while the Army uses the SpringColt A2. A bolt action rifle that can hold a metal clip of 10 rounds.
Ships that are made of wood, and sail are being replaced by ships of steel and steam, powered by coal.

(Think steam punk meets American lifestyle of the 1800s, with a few more modern elements. Essentially before Lord Gunny arrived the level of technology was close to late medieval period early industrial. However, i understand someone then couldnt make a mock assault rifle to todays standard even if theg had a detailed blueprint, even if the level of tech was close to the 1700's. In,order to get around that, Lord Gunny has extensive knowledge in metallurgy, and smithing. Magic also played a part in construction, i know it sounds like a cop out but screw it. If Stargate can get away with aliens, and human cultures from different planets that all speak english, i can do this.)

This is my first universe that i created, so be gentle.

I tried uploading a map and accompanying text, but my computer deleted everything on me. I'll try again later. Basically, I took the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the 19th century, changed the provincial names to match your Frangerian Empire and created an historical timeline that lead to the creation of the Frangerian Empire.

Within the context of Frangeria are two opposing religious groups who eventually experience a Civil War.

The original version was intended as Nation Role Play, but the national scene could be the back drop for some other plot.

Attitude | +
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, gift, or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes. "
