Edge of an Empire

Ok so I'm thinking about doing a distant future RP. The main idea of this RP would be a Earth that's ruled by a autocratic government, and of course what sci-fi would be complete without a rebellion fighting the evil empire? So anyway this RP would be following the members of the rebellion as they try to stop this empire, but if you want to be apart of the empire you could do that too. So when I say future I mean a world much like our own, but that is greatly advanced in robotics to a degree that people are more metal than flesh and bone. So the main plot is as I mentioned before the empire and the rebellion fighting for control of Earth, but people are welcomed to create there own subplots.
