I figured that since we have a thread dedicated to frustrations and venting, why not have one where we share the things that make us smile?

Share what brightens up your day - be it something big, small, serious or silly - and, hopefully, we'll end up with pages and pages of really great things that we can return to whenever we feel a little down

I'll start.

It makes me smile when I learn a new, funny word - like "fiddlesticks" or "moat".

Silly ones are always okay! Often it's the silly little things that help give a nudge when you're feeling terrible, in my experience c:

It makes me smile when I can get up at 4am, watch the sunrise over a steaming cup of coffee and just enjoy how utterly quiet everything is.
