Well the ship just suffered a huge attack by the children and most of their fleet. They were able to make an emergency jump, but are heavily damaged and lost their new pilot alien friend in the process. The Captain has called for a meeting with her officers and pilots to discuss their next move.

Name: Thomas Brett

Age: 26

Appearance: About six feet tall and built like a brick shithouse, Thomas is exactly what your average civilian thinks of when he imagines a soldier. Heavy set features and dark hair make him look somewhat thuggish, but his eyes sparkle with intelligence and a little bit of wit. He wears dressed down fatigues, often going about in boots, trousers and undershirt only, claiming that the uniform's accompanying jacket is "too small" for his biceps, only "squeezing" into it when absolutely necessary.

History: Thomas joined at the age of 20, hoping to use the qualifications he could gain from the military in a future, hypothetical career as a sports coach. The subsequent issues and problems faced by humanity drove him to testing out for Pilot School and passing with aplomb. As a full fledged mech pilot, he trained his arse off, trying to become the best in a fit of perfectionism. This led to him being selected for the elite scouting program, more as a backup than anything else. He is infuriated at his inaction so far, but hides it well.

MECH

IRIS Class Reconnaissance Mech, Humanoid, Gen Four

Weight: 96 tonnes

Width: 5.4 metres

Height: 14.6 metres

Maximum Speed: 440 kilometres per hour max speed. Overheat issues lead to limited maxing time of roughly forty minutes. Cruise speed is closer to 400km/h.

Weapons: Shoulder mounted 120mm railgun, left forearm mounted hunter-killer missile system (NLOSR), right forearm mounted plasma rifle. Primary defences come from an extensive ECM and shield suite. Shields are efficient, but lack stopping power on more powerful weapons. Possesses a very sophisticated sensor and optics suite, design for maximum coverage of the battlespace.

Appearance: Two legs, two arms, slightly hunched forward. A "head" of sorts houses the more expensive sensors and navigation equipment, allowing the pilot to face his or her sensors at any of the surrounding area, except directly below, regardless of current orientation. It has armour, but the majority seems rather skeletal. This mech is designed with speed in mind.

Position: Recon Marine/Anti-Mech Gunner

Appearance: Relatively short and wiry, yet still showing the muscle that one expects of a career soldier, Jacqueline is pretty hard edged. She keeps here hair short and functional, with a healthy dose of bright red colouring as a slight affectation, although her blonde roots betray her real hair colour. Her body is criss-crossed with tattoos and a few scars, many unsightly reminders of her militaristic lifestyle. When not fighting, she wears Marine duty fatigues, olive drab and boring affairs in the same cut and style as her shipborne and pilot brethren. When active fighting, she wears Marine Combat Armour (MCA for short). Image follows.



History: Enlisting straight out of school, all Jacqueline, Jack or Jacky as she prefers to be known, wanted was to be a Marine. And she ended up being pretty good at it. She had a natural flair for taking orders and getting them done pretty quickly, as well as being a but of a smart arse while doing so. Her quirky, individualistic manner soon got the attention of her superiors, who recommended her for recon training. She also showed a remarkable aptitude for mech killing weapons, such as the HAMMER missile. A secondary specialisation course followed soon after. She has been called one of the more promising Marines in her age group, but never to her face or by anyone she wouldn't hit for saying so. Jack is quite happy to wallow in her own anonymity, just another Marine stuck in a shitty hellhole.

I'm thinking of making a character, something like a mech saboteur unit. Highly specialized, more of a suit then a mech, basically hacks systems. What do you think?

So I just got invited to another RP on a different site and I don't like having more then three RP's going on at once so... yeah, you guys seem full enough that I can drop this one before it begins. I'll follow this one though, it's getting interesting!
