Alright! I know that for the moment, we don't have enough people to get this rolling, but I figured I would give everyone all the info they need to decide whether or not they are actually interested. Some things may be added or changed, but this is the basic stuff you need to know before we get started.
There are many kingdoms throughout the world, each based on an element. Each kingdom has a ruler, whether it be a king or a queen, heirs (princesses and/or princes), and of course, nobles, commoners, and so on and so forth. These rulers meet from time to time and form a council of kingdoms. This is basically to keep the kingdoms at peace and in good standing with one another, as well as allowing for the continued trade and such between kingdoms. There is a head of the council, who does not necessarily rule over the other kingdoms, but does oversee things in the council and is generally well respected among the other members of the council. This head has the ability to call a meeting, bring an end to a meeting, and mediate disputes and other issues that arise during meetings. In the event of a vote that ends in a tie, they have the deciding vote.
Here is a character sheet. You may add to it or change the formatting as you wish, just make sure that all of the necessary information is covered. :)
Let me know if you have any questions! ---------------- The in character thread is posted here. |

Hyello. Just thought I'd say I'm still interested in this, and I'll be working on the Cordelia's royal family this week, bit by bit. |

Awesome! I would like to try to get rolling soon, but I am still waiting to hear back from a couple of people on whether or not they can actually join us. I would like to get a few more people to join us before we get started. If you know anyone who might be interested, feel free to invite them! I'm also attaching Eira's CS to this post. ----------------------------------------------------------- ((I may add more to this or do a bit of editing, but here is Eira's character sheet.)) Name: Eira Anwyl Age: 20 Gender: Female Appearance: Eira is a tall girl, standing at about 5'11, with a lithe, thin, but curvy build. She has long, thick curly hair that falls about her mid-back and is such a light blonde that it is almost white. Her eyes are a light, almost ice-blue that at times may appear almost grey, set against the fair skin, high cheekbones and sharp angles that make up a beautiful--but perhaps a bit unusual, if you ask her--face. Her skin is light and fair, but not quite pale. She has an air of elegance and grace, yet also a cold, aloof, almost detached manner about her, which many find intimidating. As far as attire goes, she can usually be found in light, elegant gowns when in public or really most of the time nowadays. She can occasionally be found in something less queen-like, but she is almost always in something nice and elegant, unless the situation calls for something specific, such as in battle or if going out into a blizzard or something of the likes where thicker, winter attire is favorable. Despite her near immunity to the cold, in extreme cold, even she can feel the sting and chill. Race: Human - Snow Queen, practitioner of winter based magic. Mortality: Immortal Kingdom: Eirwen Rank: Queen Abilities: -Winter magic: Eira, like her mother before her, was born the Snow Queen. She was gifted with control over winter magic. *She can create, control, and manipulate snow, ice, cold gusts of wind, even control or create blizzards. *She can disguise her appearance, mainly either to mask herself entirely or either soften or hide her face, with the use of snow. She cannot actually physically alter her appearance. *She is practically immune to the cold and can also protect someone else from the cold using her magic, although this does require a steady flow of magic, even if it's not much. *She can chill the air around her or use the cold to slow a person or creature's heartbeat, either to render them unconscious or to stop their heart altogether. The line between simply taking their consciousness and leaving them alive, or taking their life is a fine one, and one that is not always clearly defined, making it easy to push just a little too far and stop the heart rather than simply slowing it to the point where consciousness fades. -Other magic: Beyond winter magic, Eira also has some other various forms of magic that she has been granted. *Mesmer magic: Her abilities to use this form of magic are limited to two simple things. First is a form of suggestion. She essentially laces her words with magic to make the person more likely to agree to what she requests. How well this works will depend on the strength of someone's mind and how open a person's mind is to suggestion. Secondly, she can, to some degree, make someone forget something. This does not mean she can wipe their memory, even one simple memory. Rather, she can alter the memory slightly, altering small details to change the memory from it's original form to make them forget what it is that she wants them to forget. The detail has to be impeccable. If the person realizes that something isn't right, they can cause the original memory to resurface. So, again, the effectiveness depends on the strength of the person's mind. *Sight: Eira can see things that she otherwise would not be able to see. This is accomplished through the use of an object given to her by her mother, a small mirror. It allows her to find people, as well as the see things outside of her realm, or things she otherwise could not see. She can also use this to block the sight of others in order to keep them from finding her or seeing her. -Intellect: Eira has extraordinary intellect. She is cunning, logical, observant, and excellent at deduction. She is very bright, inquisitive, and resourceful. Because of her tendency to see things only from a logical, rational point of view, she does not understand much as far as emotions are concerned, and often finds decisions based on such confusing. -Swordsmanship: While she is far from the most skilled swordsman in the land, she was taught how to fight with a sword and is at the very least competent and capable of holding her own in a fight. -Archery: Eira was also trained in archery and she is a more than competent archer. Although this is not typically her choice of fighting-styles, she is capable of using a bow fairly skillfully, if needed. Weaknesses: Eira's main weakness is Dardanos, or rather the Darkness. The magic he wields is her weakness. The magic alone is not enough to actually kill her, but when used correctly, his magic can weaken and subdue her, bringing her to the brink of death and, should he wish, keep her there for as long as he can hold out. Her magic has the same effect on him. There are two weapons imbued with the magic of Aeron and Isolde that are capable of killing her. Personality: Eira is a bit of an unusual girl. She was once a happy, but perhaps somewhat fragile child, easily hurt by even the gentlest of correction, prone to tears and hurt feelings. She was loved by her mother and adored by her father, but those days are long gone. After the disappearance of her parents she changed, out of necessity more than desire. Nowadays many would describe her as cold, aloof, detached. She does not cry anymore, nor does she often give herself to many emotions at all. She has built a nearly impenetrable wall around herself to keep her emotions in, and to protect her from further pain. She doesn't let people in and her trust is not easily won, though it is easily lost. Her biggest weakness is likely the fact that she has a hard time trusting people or letting them in, and may even push people away if they get too close. Mostly she holds people at arms length so that they can't get close, and her cold, aloof nature doesn't typically make that a difficult task, given that many find her somewhat intimidating, meaning that there aren't often many men who might seek to try to win her heart. Rather than being driven by emotions, she is ruled by logic. She is ever calm, calculating and rational, rather than letting emotions cloud her decisions. She is very observant with excellent deductive skills, as well as intelligent and inquisitive. While many may see her as uncaring due to her cold and aloof nature, she will always look out for the best interest of her kingdom and will do everything in her power to protect the lives of those the follow her. She will not easily throw away the life of someone on her side, but she will not hesitate to take the life of an enemy, or anyone who threatens her or her people. She may regret that she had to take a life, and she will do her best to avoid unnecessary death, but she will do what she must to protect her kingdom. Eira is known for her honesty and for always keeping her word. She is, at times, brutally honest and perhaps wanting for tact, but you will never have to question whether or not what she says is the truth. Likewise, if she makes a promise, she will keep it. That is not to say that there are never times that she has found a loophole in a deal she made and followed the letter of the law, so to speak, as opposed to the spirit of the law. This, however, is not common practice for her, nor does she do so lightly. Because of her own honesty and integrity, she expects the same of others. She does not take well to liars or those that toss their word around lightly and do not follow through. Furthermore, she does not tolerate betrayal or disloyalty. This is one area where she is prone to, at times, lack understanding and even be somewhat unreasonable. She is not very forgiving of those that break her trust, and if she is betrayed, it is highly unlikely that she will ever forgive that person, depending on the extent of the betrayal. Her instinct is to protect herself, which means eliminating those people that have hurt her and thus may do so again in the future, from her life. History: Eira was born the only child to the king and queen of Eirwen. She has no memories of her childhood before her mother's death when she was eight years old. Her father died before her mother, as he was mortal, so she doesn't remember him, nor does she remember much about her mother, or the love they gave her. She has a singular memory from the last night she saw her mother, the night she disappeared, but otherwise, she has no memories of the events before or surrounding her mother's death. After her parent's deaths, she was raised by Meuric, a man who had been close to her parents, who became the regent until she came of age to take the throne. The man, while not cruel, was not kind to her. He showed her no love, only indifference. Initially she would cry when he would scold her, but that only earned her punishment. She slowly learned not to cry when anyone could see, and eventually she stopped crying altogether. Just months before her eighteenth birthday, when she was set to take the throne, she learned of his betrayal. He had been working for Dardanos, and had meant to kill her and take the throne for himself. The only reason he had not taken her life before was that he needed a weapon capable of killing her, and he also needed a plan to throw suspicion off of himself, given that there were very few ways that one could kill an immortal, and with him standing to inherit her kingdom, he would be the suspect and it would be unlikely that anyone would follow him. In the end, his attempt to take her life failed and instead, she took his life and her throne. She now rules Eirwen and presides over the council of kingdoms, as her mother had before her. |

Alright, since we have a few more people interested, I'm going to go ahead and throw this out there. I have not heard from Garsot in a while, so I'm not sure if he will be playing Dardanos or not. That said, depending on whether I hear from him before we get started or not, I will decide what I want to do about Dardanos. My current thoughts are to do one of two things. I either play him myself as a sort-of NPC while having someone else create a character to be his primary general who can be the face of the army (I'd let you decide if you want to be a part-wraith, a human magic-user with a desire for the power, or some other dark race), in hopes that he will return before we get too far in, or I can allow someone else to take his place. If I do allow someone else to take the role, I will have to discuss it with you in detail, as he will be one of the two main characters, so he is very important, and I do have a few expectations. Nothing crazy, but I'd like to discuss them with anyone interested. All that said, if anyone might be interested in either Dardanos or his general, just let me know and we can discuss possibilities and develop a plan to go forward with. |

Name: Zane Palestrength Age: 321, appears 19 Gender: Male Appearance: 5'9", with pure black hair tied in a ponytail and eyes the same color. He dresses in the clothing of Ciardah nobility in his house colors, mostly grey with highlights of black. The suit has been torn and worn thin, but still fits his physique like it was freshly tailored. His skin is a pale white, if one looks closely it appears almost translucent. His twin rapiers are in perfect condition. Race: Half-wraith barbarian. Mortality: Semi-immortal Kingdom: Born in Ciardah Rank: Nobility Abilities: Shadow magic: born with mild potential for dark magic, never trained as his parents didn’t want him to be taken. As a half-wraith his natural abilities have increased. After 300 years of practice, he’s learned some tricks. Spreading Darkness: Zane can spread a magical shadow outward, almost like smoke, or ink in water. While he will always emit a small amount, when he wants to the shadows can spread faster than a man can run. Magical light can destroy this darkness. Shadow Sight: can see in darkness, magical or otherwise Shadow Chains: chains made from solidified darkness, about as strong as iron. Requires concentration to maintain. Shadow Armor: a set of full plate armor made from solidified darkness. Practically weightless, but still a little cumbersome. Requires concentrations Shadow Wall: a wall formed from solidified darkness. Does not require concentration. All shadow spells require darkness to be used. Swords: Zane’s swords are technically part of his being. If knocked away from him they will reform in their scabbard. They are unnaturally strong, being basically unbreakable by conventional weapons. Magical weapons or abilities will ignore this durability. The blades can be remade by sheathing the swords. Weaknesses: Anything that can kill a man, just more of it. Personality: Due to Zane's half-wraith state, he has lost all emotions. Joy, fear, anger, remorse, all gone. He does, however, still have desires. Most important here is a desire for companionship, and the return of his feelings. He will stop at nothing in order to regain them, and the death of Dardanos seems like a good place to start. History: Zane was born to a Ciardah noble house during the prior war. He was 19 when Dardanos decided Zane's family would better serve him as wraiths. But when he tried to take Zane's soul, something happened. Halfway through the spell, there was a kickback, and Zane was seemingly destroyed. But a decade later, after the defeat of Dardanos, Zane rose again as a half-wraith abomination. He now wants to return to normal, and has spent the last three centuries preparing for his chance. |

I will accept both. Just make sure you have an idea for how Lysona will get involved in the war. Clearly, with healing magic she will be useful. We just have to get her involved somehow. Let me know if you want any help with working it out in the RP. I am happy to help, if I'm needed. If you already have an idea, just ignore me and I will look forward to seeing with you come up with. :) |

It is not up yet. I'll probably work on getting it up this weekend, since we have a few people now. I have a project due on Saturday, but once I finish that, I'll work on the starter. I will likely start with a meeting of the council, for those involved in that, and then come up with something else for everyone else to do in the meantime. I'll have to think about it, though. Either way, once I have it up, I post the link here to let you guys know. :) Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk |

Hey! I hope everyone is doing well! I just wanted to check in and let you know that I haven't forgotten you! I haven't gotten a starter up yet, as I decided to wait until at least the majority of people have their character sheets up. I have this week off from classes, as I get a break between each class, so I will likely write it up this week, before I start my next class. If enough people are ready to go, I will go ahead and post it. If not, I will wait and polish it up, then post when everyone is ready. In other news, I think I have someone willing to pick up Dardanos if Garsot does not return soon. But if anyone else is interested in him or a general, I'm happy to hear from you. If anyone needs any help with ideas or ironing things out with their characters, just let me know! And if anyone else out there is interested in joining, you are still welcome to! The more, the merrier. ^^ I am happy to set up a few different plot lines that can converge as the RP goes on, to make sure that everyone has something to do and somewhere to fit. |

Name: Pyren (Darkness and Ice created by Amara in Alpha) Age: 136 (looks to be about 30) Gender: Male Appearance: *Human Form: 6'4", 198 lbs., crimson-fiery wavy hair down to shoulders, and perfect emerald green eyes. He has a rather near flawless Celtic fair skin tone that would make most Elves think he is one of them instead of a dragon. Normally, he wears an emerald robe edged in silver flames, but under it he could be wearing a cream work tunic and pants, or silvery chainmail depending on the situation. *Dragon Form: As a dragon of the royal bloodline; Pyren is a deep crimson red, but he is only about half the size of the King...who is colossal. While he stands 6'4" and weighs 198 lbs. in human form; in dragon form - he is sleeker and more powerful. His eyes are the same in either form...perfect emeralds. Race: Dragon Mortality: Semi-immortal Kingdom: Pyralis Rank: Royalty - Duke: Nephew to King Julian. His mother: Princess Kyrania is the King's sister. Abilities: Like most dragons; Pyren was taught the arts of war...the longsword and bastard sword being his favored weapons at the time; though he became a true master of staff fighting over blade work. He learned tactics, strategy, supplies, fortifications, and so forth, and he learned exceptionally well...one of the brightest students of such things in all of Pyralis. In moments of battle - he usually wears his silvery chainmail given to him by the King direct from the Royal Armory. War, however, was not his desire - despite how good he was at learning it. Instead, he learned from the Elves about healing and nature magic; for these were more important to him than war. He wanted to heal the hurts of the people and the land; not be the cause for more destruction and death. Of the two types of healing he learned; Pyren focused more on healing the hurts of the land rather than the wounds of the people. It was not that he couldn't heal cuts, bruises, battle wounds, the sick and afflicted, but he preferred to heal the damage wars had bestowed on the lands around him. Thus, he learned more of the nature of the land over even the arts of war; though he warily kept his battle skills honed. Indeed, both his healing and nature magic outstripped even his gift for war. These two magics, however, were not his only talents. He had also learned magic for the battlefield, but again other than what his Uncle would have thought necessary for a dragon. Instead of learning mainly offensive; Pyren learned defensive magic...the ability to bolster troops, uphold them against fears and effects that attacked the heart and mind, and ward them and himself from various harms. In the end, the King realized such magic was quite useful; for it allowed his troops to fight longer and better. It wasn't that Pyren couldn't call down a few offensive magics, but such were just not his way unless pressed by need. He was trying to heal the land; not create more destruction. In dragon form, Pyren is more sleek, but no less powerful than the rest of the dragons of normal size. He is considered among his people to be one of the best at aerial combat...being among the swiftest and most agile of the other dragons his size. His breath weapon is much like that of the rest of the dragons of Pyralis, but he uses it very rarely. For this reason, his fire is a great deal more fierce and hot...being a bright blue flame rather than the red or orange of others. Diplomacy is something Pyren learned on his own, because he felt it would be needed to approach the Elves, and convince them to teach him the healing and nature magic he so desperately sought. Since then, he has learned to keep up his diplomatic skills from the Elves, and learned to read those around him. This is less telepathy, and more of simply paying attention to the subtle hints in others: body language, tone of voice, eye movements, and such. Among other skills, he actually found a love for poetry and dancing. Weaknesses: A dragon is still just a dragon, and can be slain by being overpowered through sheer force of numbers, superior firepower, potent lethal magic, and such. However, as a semi-immortal; Pyren heals at a fantastic rate, and it takes a lot to bring down such a foe as a dragon. He is, as most of his kin, somewhat vulnerable to ice - though he seems less so than even members of his family. Some believe this is from him keeping his fire inside more than others, and thus keeps him warmer against such moments. Still, it does affect him by reducing his ability to produce potent fiery blasts, and hinders any magic of a fiery nature. Personality: Pyren is not a warmonger like most of his kind, but is more like his Uncle, the King in thought. The King has no desire for war - having been in the last one which was so devastating, but he is not above taking care of those who dare to challenge him. The same holds true for his nephew. Indeed, he prefers to wander the lands rather than stay home planning battles, participating in contests of war, and so forth. He is polite and kind with a strong sense for helping those around him in need. He believes in peace over war, but isn't afraid to fight or show his deadliness in battle...dragon form or otherwise. This is something he gained from his time with King Julian. One might say he has a quiet courage...patience; rather than the raging courage of his kin. Two things seem to get to him faster than anything; cruelty and abuse of power. Either of these things at the least annoy Pyren, and at the worst...can bring out his draconic nature to deadly effect. He is actually a romantic at heart, but has not yet found a woman of any kind to share such emotions with. History: About 136 years ago, a new member of the royal family for King Julian had been born - his nephew, Pyren. It was a new hope for the Dragon King of Pyralis; for in this birth lay the hope of a member of his family who would understand that war was not something to desire. He could not have asked for a better example than his nephew. Pyren, as he grew, may have indeed learned the arts of warfare as taught to him by his Uncle and Mother, but he never once took any joy in the arts which would cost other people their lives and lands. His eldest cousin, the Crown Prince, would actually mock for his lack of blood thirst for battle, but time and again Pyren proved a dangerous opponent in both duels and warfare...something his cousin would discover personally from time to time. There was certainly no love lost between the two cousins as they grew older, and Andras was soon glad Pyren left to go wandering the world instead of staying home. For it had become apparent that his Father favored Pyren over himself. Pyren, for his part, was just as glad to be gone, but this was more from a desire to learn something which had troubled him deeply ever since his history lessons on the world. The destruction of Argus during the last war had made him greatly curious, and this became more apparent after he began to dream of how the land had been ravaged by the forces of darkness. Yet, to this day, no one had yet been able to heal the land - or had tried for all he knew. Argus simply was a mass ruin for which now was the meeting place of the Council. Pyren simply could not let the situation stand as it was, and thus he found himself wandering the land only to find himself in the company of the Elves at Tarren. Here, his lessons of diplomacy with his Uncle came into good stead. Without such, he might not have been able to convince the Elves to accept him as a student of the Healing and Nature Arts. The Elves, strangely awed by his desire to learn such things...quite contrary to Dragons for the most part...accepted him, and soon began to teach him of healing and nature. Pyren took to his studies with great zeal...ever his mind and heart on the ravaged land of Argus. He studied with every fiber of his being...even more so than he had the arts of war under his Uncle and Mother. Despite how well he had done in those studies which would cause such harm to others; Pyren enjoyed his studies more with the Elves, and in particular with Isilnaur. Her name meant Moon-Fire, and in most of his studies of healing she was his instructor. Isilnaur and Pyren became close friends as he continued to learn from her over the next three decades all he could. Indeed, it intrigued her to discover the reason behind his desire to learn such things, and the two began to talk often of how to heal Argus. Their discussions even went so far as to spread among the rest of the healers of the Elves with great fascination. In this time, he did not completely confine his studies to healing and learning of nature. He found the Elven ability to wield a staff quite fascinating, and thus asked to be instructed in such combat techniques. Considering how well Pyren had lived among them for over thirty years; the Elves agreed to teach him this. To their amazement and his own; Pyren excelled at learning how to wield a staff...even more so than he had the bastard or longsword. The speed and agility needed to wield came easily to King Julian's nephew. Though he would never stop carrying a bastard sword across his back; Pyren now favored the staff over such a weapon. His skill with such a weapon so impressed the Elves that they crafted one just for him made of moon-silver - a precious ore which gave off its own light just a bit so long as there was not complete darkness. The silvery blue metal was among the strongest in the world, and among the lightest. He accepted the staff gladly as it was presented by Isilnaur. She explained the staff also carried with it the power to heal others - a rare gift indeed from her people. For another twenty years he remained with the Elves as he learned and worked with them. A total of just over fifty years spent on learning of the land: trees, rocks, bushes, all manner of animals and plants, minerals...al that was of the earth, and of the various ways to heal cuts, bruises, burns, broken bones, internal injuries, poison, and even heal people from the effects which attacked heart and mind. All of this he learned as he worked with the Elves of Tarren, and ever he was glad to be of service to them. One of his greatest services to perform was when a plague swept through one of the nearby Human communities. Against such a plague; Pyren swept in with a party of Elves led by Isilnaur, and there he helped combat this dangerous disease. His efforts saved many lives over the next two weeks, and the Elves recognized him as a fully trained Healer from that day forward. Among his knowledge of nature came the ability learn how to manipulate two of the elements: Fire and Air. Fire came easiest for Pyren; for as a Dragon such was a natural part of him, but Air was a bit different. He was never able to master Air, but he found some of the defensive magic available to this element quite useful. The Elves demonstrated how it could be used to cause a strong breeze to foul up an archery strike. Or, how it could cause the sky to become dangerous for those who fly. It could even be made to make the sky easier to travel. Such abilities fascinated Pyren as he learned, and he thought of how pleased his Uncle would be to have such brought home. And, to home he indeed finally went with all he had learned thus far. Isilnaur was sad to see him go, but she understood the time had come for him to return home. He was assured a place would always be made open for him should he need to return, and was named Elf-friend by those in Tarren. His return found his Uncle with new battle scars. Apparently in his absence several had attempted to force Julian to accept the call for blood and battle, but the King was not so easily undone. While he had no thirst for battle; he was still the mightiest and best of all the Dragons at war. He also noticed there was new tension between Andras and his Uncle...wondering if his cousin had attempted to take the crown from his Father. His Mother was not pleased to hear of her son's return. That which he had learned did not earn her favor in the least. She had hoped he had grown to desire battle, but when she heard of him learning of healing and nature from the Elves...her displeasure was easily seen. In her eyes, her son was a weakling, but this swiftly was corrected when she hired someone to kill Pyren. The Dragon assigned to such a task was one known as Morcrist - a terrible black dragon who had no love for those who did not wish to revel in battle. Morcrist attempted to ambush Pyren while he was flying high in the night sky, but to his surprise found Pyren was very much alert. Instead of being able to slip up on Pyren; he found himself in a sky-duel to the death. Here, Pyren's understanding of Air came to his aid, and this he used against Morcrist when his opponent attempted to sweep into him. The spell stopped his foe's charge mid-air, and allowed Pyren to gain the advantage while Morcrist was still wondering what had happened. Wrapped in a blanket of air; Morcrist could not use his agility in the sky to defend himself from the incoming Pyren, and Pyren swept his blue blazing fiery inferno over the black without hesitation. So powerful was the attack that it burnt Morcrist with lethal intent, and knocked him from the sky. Pyren, remembering his lessons of warfare, didn't give Morcrist a chance to recover. Instead, he followed his foe down, and savagely attacked him with every talon and tooth he possessed...his tail smashing into Morcrist with one intent...his death. The whole time, he could not have known that his Mother watched from afar. She had expected an easy victory for Morcrist, but instead had found her son to be more than a match for the might black. From then on; she no longer thought of her son as weak - though she did not approve of his choice of life either. For the next ten years, Pyren taught his Uncle about the Air magic which had saved his life in the sky-duel. Intrigued, and always willing to learn new things, Julian gladly learned what Pyren had of Air Elemental magic...something that would later come in handy for the King in his next challenges. During this same time, Pyren began to practice on healing the damage done to the land of Pyralis. Here there had been Dragons who sometimes rampaged lawlessly, and burnt the land in their passage. This was something for Pyren to work on, and he began to do so with great zeal. At first, his efforts were not very successful. Oh, he managed to heal a burnt plant, or stop a tree from dying after being attacked by a claws and fangs. Yet, beyond these small victories, there was no major progress made. It was frustrating, but rather than quit, Pyren just worked all the harder. He studied whatever books and scrolls he could find in his Uncle's library about the land, but other than it being more detailed about Pyralis - the general knowledge of the land was less than what the Elves carried with them. Still, he would not give up. He truly believed there was a way to heal Argus, and he would not rest until he found the cure. One idea struck him a couple of decades later: a cleansing fire. If fire could destroy a disease; could it not cure whatever kept Argus from returning to life. This was the question, and he began to look into it with great interest. Yet, not all of his time went into working on this experiment. Part of his time was spent on teaching the younger Prince: Kai. In this, his Uncle had a great desire for his younger son to learn the arts of war and peace. At first, Pyren was reluctant to take any time away from his main desire, but he saw the value in training the younger Prince more to his Father's way of thinking. Thus, Pyren accepted the task. What he had not expected was to be training the youngest member of the Royal family: Seirian - the Princess. The Princess was eager to learn, and her ability to do so was second to none in the palace. She swiftly out stripped her elder brothers in patience and speed in aerial combat - a fact that did not go unnoticed by her Father. Where Andras always treated Seirian as a lesser being, and always took such of her training as her rivaling him - Kai took his little sister's desire to learn with a smile and delight. He never treated her as a rival, but as the sibling she really was. So, instead of one student - Pyren suddenly had two, and they both took to his lessons with great zeal and ability. It was not long before Andras soon found his Father had two excellent new and powerful Dragons quite loyal to him: Kai and Seirian. Either he might have overpowered before their extensive training under Pyren, but this was no longer the case. Instead, he noted the bond forming between them, and how well they worked together. Julian, the King, could not have been more pleased at their progress. Certainly both had his temperament more than his eldest son. To Pyren's surprise, Seirian found out about his desire to heal Argus, and soon was helping him with the experiments he delved into. The very idea of healing the Land of Light was exciting for Seirian, and she gladly helped anyway she could as Pyren explored his options and theories. Where he had not love for Andras; Pyren found he loved his other two cousins: Kai and Seirian. He would gladly serve them just as he served their Father, but Pyren could not remain forever in Pyralis while Argus remained in a razed state. Thus, when the call for a new council meeting came forth - Pyren volunteered his services to his Uncle to attend... |
