Picture: http://im2.peldata.com/bl8/73523/16bg.jpgDescription: Pale skin is probably the first thing that most individuals notice upon first seeing Jules, perhaps being even more noticeable than the colorful streaks that he had dyed into the hair on the top of his head. This skin has a tendency to clash with the glint of light against the beaded chain he more often than not wore around his neck. While he doesn't actually wear any makeup at all, his eyes are rather set back and have a dark enough hue along with prominent eyelashes, which has served to give the illusion that he does indeed wear some even though he doesn't.
Name: Julian Nabakov
Nickname, if any: Most people refer to him as Jules, based on the shortened form of his first name. It's pronounced like the English word jewels.
Age: 24 years old
Profession: While he aspires to some day actually be a full-blown comic book artist, and he currently believes that he's more than skilled enough to do so, he currently works providing inking and lettering services for a comic book company. Over time he hopes to get a leg into the industry. He's already actually gotten some fairly developed character concepts together, but no one is quite interested in his designs just yet. That's normal for someone in the comic book industry, and it often takes a while to work one's way up.
Personality: If there were one word to describe his personality, then it would be sarcastic. He tends to take a snide, dim view of life and has a rather dark view of things because of his situation. That doesn't mean that he's a cruel person, and in fact nothing could be further from the truth. Rather he's learned to make do with using humor to survive the rather bad hand that life dealt him.
Special positions: Werewolf
Relationship status: Single in terms of romance, but he actually has a close circle of friends. He's actually an old friend of the witch Arianna McCoy, however, and she actually let him stay at the inn after he first gotten bitten. That meant that they were sort of destined to grow close together over time.
Children: He doesn't have any children, perhaps because his curse means that in turn he's been unable to get close to people outside of his immediate group.
Other Relations: By definition everyone has to have some relations. It's something of a necessity considering the fact that every person has to come from somewhere. While he knows who he's related to, at this point Jules actually does his best not to speak to the rest of his family because he cares too much about them. Even though this sounds counter intuitive, it makes sense to him since he considers himself a threat and therefore doesn't want to cause them any harm. He fears that if he were to return home they would try to show him kindness and get close to him, which of course in turn would have increased the chances that he might inadvertently harm someone.
Background Story: Growing up Jules wasn't nearly as snide or snarky as he is today. He was a pretty average individual who kind of wanted to be left alone and just allowed to do as he wished in life. That eventually changed when he started looking more into the comic book industry as a way to make a living. Many people, when they're growing up, get pressured to find some sort of a trade of course.
Well, being someone who loved to read comics, Jules figured that he would turn his hobby of drawing into a professional career. His parents would have of course missed him, but they were very proud as he attained high marks in art school and got a job as an inker with a major comic book publisher.
Nevertheless, one night when the moon was full he was torn to within an inch of his life. He didn't quite remember exactly what happened then. Most of it really seemed like it was some sort of a blur, and to this day he doesn't know who bit him, but he knew what did by the time a month had passed. He transformed into a hideous beast with terrifying jowls while killing indiscriminately as he was forced to watch what happened without having any control over it. It was like being forced to watch a movie depicting one's worst nightmare while having someone forcibly hold your eyes open.
Being an old friend of Arianna, and with her having a knowledge of the supernatural that was rather developed, she realized what was wrong and actually allowed him to stay at the inn while he was getting used to his new condition and set up into a new life. While he hasn't actually given up his dreams, he has grown increasingly prone to melancholy over time as he laments his lost humanity.
Over time he's gotten more settled and comfortable with the idea of being locked away when the moon was full to prevent his fearsome transformation, and he feels more comfortable than he had in the past. Nevertheless, he still looks for some way to overcome what he now views as a limitation, yet he has almost totally learned to use humor to deal with his unfortunate condition. Jules has an inkling of who it was that bit him. It looks like it might very well have been the old sheriff, but he wasn't sure at all. He'd never go public with his accusation, and he actually hasn't let anyone know. If he was going to tell anyone, then he might very well tell Arianna before anyone else. That was who he trusted the most, so it made sense that she would be the one that he would have actually come forward to.
Misc: While Arianna might be devoted to the Earth Mother, his own spirituality is quickly evolving. Considering that he finds it difficult to control his abilities, which indeed might very well be impossible to begin with, he has grown closer to legendary depictions of moon creatures. He figures that adherence to the worship of some sort of lunar deity would give him the strength to resist or control the shift that happens when he's exposed to the full moon. He's additionally come to believe that werewolves might very well be cursed because of the wrath of some kind of god or goddess. That would have made sense, he figured, since there were so many who were ultimately forgotten about over time.
