Background:
Many years ago, on the planet known as Earth, there lived a race of people known as the Norse. They were lovers of trade and exploring, masters of all crafts. They discovered what others did not for generations, developing democracy and creating beautiful music and trinkets.
Worshiping a multitude of gods was their wont, from the beautiful Baldur to the trickster Loki. It was a simple time, unaffected by the wonders of advanced technology. Until one day, in a simple village, a rainbow-coloured portal appeared. The village seer believed it to be the Bifröst, a connection between gods and mortals. The village, being under attack at the time, scrambled through the portal to greet their gods and find safe haven. When the last man entered, the portal closed, disappearing without a trace. The people found themselves, not surrounded by their loving gods, but by a strange species of creature. The stars were far different than that of what they were used to, leaving their top navigators useless. This new planet was manned by creatures called Valdoonians, thin, sun-coloured creatures that welcomed the Norse with open arms. A friendship was born, but not to be, as man brought sickness with them, horrifying and deadly to their alien hosts. The Norse were simply incubators for the disease, remaining unaffected. This caused the Valdoonians to loathe the humans, believing the disease to be a premeditated act of genocide. They warned all their allies of the horrifying nature of this newly introduced race.
So the humans were left with a barren planet of technology, many powerful enemies, and little knowledge of the world around them.
But these people were hardy, and stubborn. They would survive, no matter the cost.

Current:
It's the Earth year 1112, 200 years since the village was swept away to unfamiliar grounds. An animosity has been bred between the Norse and almost all other races in the galaxy of Parra Savva, which is their new home. Valdoon had been lost to them, but their past generations took what they could before leaving. Without a home they have become vagrant explorers, scavenging what they can. A ship by the name of Hrið is one of the many more independent groupings, manned by a relatively small crew. Together they pillage and fight, living closer than brothers and sisters. Remembering the story of the Bifröst that brought them to this galaxy, they continue their search for gods among the stars.

Current Characters:

Bergljot Sigurdardóttir | +
Name: Bergljot Sigurdardóttir (Goes by Ber)
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Position: Mechanic
Appearance: She is 5ft 6" tall, has skin as white as snow, and long, straight red hair, which she has plaited down to around her hips. She is thin, but with curves in all the right places, and long thin fingers, which help her fixing small fiddly things. Her eyes are a greeny-blue colour. Her facial features are soft, but defined, high cheekbones, and thin red lips. She wears tight leather trousers, and a bodice most of the time with supple leather boots, more for comfort and practicality.
Strengths: Stubborn, quick learner, friendly and tries to see the good in all, loyal to a fault.
Weaknesses: has a hot-headed temper at times and can be sly at times as well.
Abilities: She has a natural knack for mechanics and can solve problems with ease.
History: Her great - grandfather had been one of the originals of her people to be transported to Valdoon, and had been there with her grandmother, and as time went on, connections were made her parents were respected members of their community, until her father was lost in battle, which was a most honorable death. Her mother had passed from a broken heart not long after. Bergljot missed them a lot, but she had felt proud of what her strong bloodline had achieved. Her mother and father had named her Bergljot as it meant "Light will save" and had it not been for the portal of light that had saved her grandfather, she'd never have existed.
Equipment: Normally carries around a small satchel with some basic tools in, and around her neck a piece of rope hangs, with a ring marked with a rune, it had originally come from Earth with her great-grandfather, and then it had been passed down through the generations as a wedding band, and when she would be to wed, the male would be asked to honor tradition and wear it.

Alfhild Eriksson | +
Name: Alfhild Eriksson
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Position: Captain
Appearance: Alfhild
Alfhild's build is similar to a bear's, with broad shoulders and chest, slimming near the hips, and somewhat short, stocky legs. She stands a solid 5'10", her mane of wavy blonde hair, often pulled into a variety of dreads and braids, and fur shoulder pieces giving her a further sense of massive grandeur. Her face is usually dirty or bloody, going unnoticed until someone points it out.
Strengths: Equanimitous, inspiring, compassionate, analytical, independent, purposeful, observant
Weaknesses: Loud-mouthed, rash, unyielding, defiant, careless, avoidant, bitter, brooding, spacey
Abilities:
Inspirational Speaker- Alfhild has the keen ability to 'rally the troops', so to speak. Her words can often act as a catalyst for action, and provide comfort when all seems lost. This is her strongest leadership quality.
Seasoned Warrior- Alfhild has seen many battles, in ground combat and on ship, and has the ability to remain calm under such extreme pressures.
Sword Fighting
Calligrapher
History: Alfhild was born in the Village, her mother dying shortly after her birth. When she was young, she was raised predominantly by her aging father, whom she would take of more than he would her. This gave her the drive to be independent, not wanting to burden him. Alfhild's father's beliefs in the Norse gods were strong, and he would often tell her stories of them, and tell of the Bifröst generations ago. She believed in the gods strongly, and vowed to herself that she would find them. When not taking care of her father, Alfhild would wander the Village, sneaking into advanced weapons classes and getting into mischief. She didn't make friends easily, being seen as too brash by many. When her father died during her teenage years, Alfhild decided that she had no more to gain from the Village, and convinced those closest to her, from friends to simply acquaintances, to join her on a ship, with the intent to find the gods.
Equipment: Wears advanced Valdoon-Norse armour and a modernized viking sword, as well as a pendant of courage and wisdom.
Other: Not applicable at this moment.

Kjoljandr Minestrom | +
Name: Kjoljandr Minestrom
Nickname: Kole
Age: 22
Gender: M
Position: Cook
Appearance:
Powder-blue eyes, spiky ear-length dirty blond hair, 188 cm (6’2”) tall, 85 kg heavy, medium build, strong back and hands, large forearms, clean shaven, neatly attired in impeccable and crisp uniform save for the apron, a chef’s indispensable first line of defense, although the drooping chef hat looks more like a beanie
Strengths:
An above-average cook, certainly not the most connoisseur, whose clean and neat appearance and health-conscious style inspire confidence among his diners. Really, who’d wanna eat a cook’s food if his apron is dirty with Valhalla-knows-what-kind-of muck, his teeth discoloured by tobacco which he constantly chews on, while occasionally scratching his butt, with a straggling beard threatening to shed some strays into his cooking pot? His culinary expertise is supported with a working knowledge of botany, sub-branching in spice-o-logy, and animal anatomy.
Weaknesses:
Not technically intelligent, might be awkward in social settings, has a thick accent that confounds even his clan at times; not skilled in fighting – which is a strength in a way since eaters may not wish their cafeteria cook to be in the thick of bloodshed and festering wounds
Abilities:
Cuisine deconstruction – able to discern the ratio of spices and ingredients just from tasting
Botany – lentils, leafy vegetables, roots, flowering species, fungi, herbs, spice procurement
Animal anatomy – any edible creature of the land, sea, and air
Food preservation – refrigeration is not the only method!

History:
Got his start as a bus boy for a busy communal diner.
Likes to accompany the Negotiator, providing input on food-related issues.
Equipment:
In the kitchen, a butcher knife, apron, chef uniform and hat; in civilian time, potent pepper-based spray for defense protocols; a thick notebook for sketches and culinary notes kept in a satchel pouch worn across the torso
Other:
Beware, may spout poetry in song when cooking up a storm

Fiske Osmond | +
Name: Fiske Osmond
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Position: Medic
Appearance: One of the leaner male body types of the time, Fiske is ungracefully tall, standing at around 6' in height. A long, traditional family cloak hangs proudly from his shoulders, fine cobalt blue threads depicting a detailed shield, a family symbol, onto the dark material. Underneath he wears a dark green tunic and plain, muted brown trousers. Golden brown hair sits neatly on his head, pools about his shoulders and around his face, a solid and fluffy short beard hiding his hard, angular jawline. Deep green eyes sit into his face, often sunken looking due to staying up until late at night. Has a prominent, beak like nose and a fair complexion.
Strengths: Can be protective, gentle; almost acting motherly to the crew when they are in need, perceptive, caring, rational, adaptable, nimble and quick on his feet.
Weaknesses: Can be unforgiving (especially towards individuals), blunt, stern, irritated, silent in unforgiving times, eager to argue over the ideas he is passionate about.
Abilities: Good memory - almost photographic, he can easily picture many memories and facts in his mind.
Trained healer - although lacks experience due to his age, Fiske was taught from a young age effective methods in wound cleaning/disinfecting, stitching, simple surgery and remedies for various illnesses and impairments.
Experimental - to further develop his medical skill, Fiske has a hobby of composing new concoctions based on prior knowledge, usually tested on himself or people he doesn't favour (usually without their knowledge). More often than not the results are similar or worse than before, but when successful he records his new recipes by carving them onto his working desk.
High pain threshold - to make up for the fact he cannot fight terribly well, save for basic self defence, he can tolerate high levels of pain or illness until his body is physically unable to deal with it.
History: For countless generations, even during their time on Earth, the Osmonds (meaning 'divine protection') had served for the Norse village people as tough warriors on the battlefield; to their shock, their family's newest space born descendant, Fiske, was found without the 'Osmond knack' of wielding a weapon. He bid his parents farewell as they left him at the Village ship to independently travel with another group of vikings, seeking for a more bountiful planet to colonise. Although discouraged from their absence, Fiske had the Norse determination running through his veins, and swore to become a 'divine protector' in a different sense of the phrase. He spent his childhood with experienced, wise elder medics, slowly becoming notorious amongst the other children as a talented healer. When Alfhild approached Fiske at the Village, seeking a medic for her own crew, the young man was captivated by her persuasive words, thrilled at the notion of being able to finally 'protect', and gladly supported their ideologies of seeking the gods. Over time, he grew warmer to the crew, finding a family in them more than anyone else. They are the few people he'd never sneak an unplanned 'test' on (as long as they'd remain his dear friends, of course).
Equipment: The Table - Fiske's main working table in the Hrið's medic room, where he practises his craft; the wooden surface is etched with images and script defining various techniques against a vast number of sicknesses and injuries. Successful remedies have been recorded and sketched into the table by Fiske for as long as he has been aboard ship.
Medical kit - his room on the ship keeps hidden a collection of prepared ointments, liquids, oils, and various ferns in glass jars, as well as threads and bandages to patch up wounds.
Family dagger - a sturdy blade given to Fiske by his bold warrior father, which he keeps in his pocket at all times.
Other: Tends to lend items from the other crew mates, such as an interesting tool from Bergljot, produce from Kole or a sharpened blade from Alfhild, to experiment with his recipes; has a curious belief that every item carries with it the essence and thus power of its owner, making some methods worth a second attempt.

Kri Paracel | +

Kri Paracel

Age:
| +
Twenty-four years of age, by earth years, of course. Though that's only an estimate. He doesn't know exactly how old he is, without parents to tell him.

Gender:
| +
Male.

Position:
| +
Second in Command, captain!

Appearance:
| +
Attachment:
Kri.jpeg

Kri looks... Particularly different, for a Norse "Viking", anyway. He stands at about 5'11, and is extremely light, being 110 pounds. His bright white hair is something he believes he takes from his ancestors, though he truly has no idea who they might be. His eyes are a light gray, and he has found them to be great for disorienting people. His jacket is the only thing that he has left from the ones he believes to be his parents, other than a handwritten note that he reads at least twice a day. The black fur around the neck has unnoticeable pockets in it, ones he can hide small objects and weapons in. His mouth turned down in a natural frown, though the members of the crew know how to get him to laugh. His skin is extremely pale, his skin only a shade darker than his hair. His hands are calloused, due to his many years of fighting, though he is relatively unscarred. He has one, however, and he will only show the large sword wound on his back to those he trusts. And he only tells specific few that it still burdens him.

Strengths:
| +
An inspirational speaker, he's learned his ways from Alfhild, and has become rather good with rallying the people as well. He can knit, though he hides that from most people. Though when someone complains they are cold, a sweater is on their bed when they return to their room. They may have guessed it was him, but he denies it severely. He is an avid writer, and can write a letter that almost guarantees them permission to dock at a given place. He can cook rather well, which is one of the reasons he met Kjoljandr. He will often aid in the kitchen while not off annoying the captain. He is incredibly good with animals, and can, some say, "Speak their language." While encountering a hostile animal, he may be able to talk with it, though it's always a gamble. He can also play a sort of instrument like a guitar, though even he doesn't know what it is called. At night, around the fire with the crew, he'd often play a song. He tries to sing, though usually fails miserable. He is able to wield a sword with extreme ease, and is very good at close combat. He has had to use his fists to fight before, and was decent at that as well. He is very stealthy and agile, and will usually scout ahead before he puts anyone else in danger.

Weaknesses:
| +
Kri is completely awful in anything dealing with the stars, and when asked to help the navigator on some occasions, he has gotten them miserably lost. He has depressionistic fits at times, usually at night. He has the crew take all his weapons and lock his door before he goes to bed, though he usually only asks Alfhild, as he has known her the longest. He is awful at fighting from long distances, so while the other crew members are using distance weapons, he usually had to sit out. His temper can get the best of him sometimes, and will sometimes fall into a lapse of not really thinking of what he is doing. He had a bad habit when he was younger of cursing the gods, and he has told no one but Alfhild that when they find the gods, he intends to apologize for everything and hope that they accept him. He is often in more of a serious mood than a humorous one, causing the crew to look at him as someone who doesn't fit in with the activities. Alfie, however, always brings him in.

Abilities:
| +
Sword fighting, knitting, playing music, cooking, scouting ahead, writing, making alliances. Great at getting the crew to side with him on things they should do, though it has to be rational.

History:
| +
There was only time time that the large space ship, housing the crew before they left and became their own crew, was approached by another ship. This ship was a large, black, silent ship, making no noise whatsoever. It was not noticed until it was nearly upon us. It did not engage in an attack, however. Rather, a woman boarded the ship, carrying a young child. She ran, throughout the halls, throughout the entire ship. Eventually, she passed into one of the camera's blind spots.

Once the guards appeared, trying to find the woman, all they found was the young boy. He was bundled up in a jacket, and was... Strange. They stared into his eyes for the longest time. He wasn't crying. He stared up at them, his eyes clear, intelligent... The contemplated throwing him from the ship. Though they remembered another child aboard the ship, and thought that, because she was different as well, this boy would suit her well.

They gave him to a family that accepted him, though once he was old enough, around thirteen, he left. He took all of his belongings and lived on the "Streets." He had read books upon his heritage, and hoped that his parents were alive out there somewhere. He knew what they were, and he wished that he could be what they were as well. Vikings.

This is when he actually met Alfhild.

She struck him as different when she walked by. He knew of her, but he had never met her. Eventually, he learned her path to wherever she was walking. He decided to talk to her one day, and that sparked an amazing friendships. Because of her, he was able to meet new people, and when Kri and Alfhild decided it was time to jump ship and do their own thing... The others came with them.

Kri didn't want to be captain, as he knew about his tendencies and qualities. So he told Alfie to take the role, and himself took Second in Command. He tries to maintain a level of respect, though he usually just lapses into talking to her like she is an old friend. Because, of course, she is.

And now they patrol the stars, looking for the gods they both desperately want to find, and desperately need to see.

Relations to Alfhild Eriksson: Explained above.

Relations to Bergljot Sigurdardóttir When he was younger, he would find Ber around and follow her. When she turned to catch up, and was about to snap upon him, he would pull something strange out of his pockets, something he knew she could use. She then usually smiled and laughed, saying something like, "That's just the part I needed!" Eventually, they started talking, and became friends. Kri never told her where he got the parts. (@Vampire.Panda Awaiting Approval)

Relations to Kjoljandr Minestrom Aboard the ship, Alfhild once asked him to make a meal. He did so, and she was pleasantly surprised with what he came up with. She ordered him to assist Kjoljandr in the kitchen for the next few days, and he did so without complaint. Kri was a very pleasant student, very eager to learn, and did everything Kjoljandr asked. Eventually, they became friends, and Kri pledged that he would someday find a spice that Kjoljandr didn't know.

Relations to Fiske Osmond Fiske is the one that Kri went to when his sword wound happened. He doesn't know how it happened, and Kri was grateful when he didn't ask. He stitched him up and sent him on his way. Kri like him, and wanted to talk to him more. He didn't get hurt on purpose, but acted much clumsier, and Fiske eventually caught onto his plot. They became friends, and Kri promised to try to get hurt less often.

Relations to Isa Lykke Isa was an interesting person to Kri, and he was there when the ship picked them up. He tried to talk to her, though he soon learned that she couldn't hear him. She eventually taught him sign language, and he can talk to her fluently now. It took about a year for her to finally teach him, though he was patient. He knew that joining a new ship could be difficult, so he gave her the time she wanted. He often gave her parts for her small robots and things as well, and he would be happy to give her things and be rewarded with her smile.

Relations to Ragna Nærfidottir Kri has always had a thing for other cultures, as he knows his parents may belong to another one, and loved to hear Ragna talk about them as she did so. He loved the lilt to the languages she spoke, and eventually asked her to teach him. He wasn't able to learn much, only the basics, but he loved the words just the same. They became friends because, although he didn't agree with her religious views, he appreciated them. They made sense to him. Though he jokes with her about it now, saying that he'll show her the gods before she shows him the truth. (@Rose_Enthorne Awaiting Approval)

Equipment:
| +
He keeps a multitude of things in the black fur neck of his jacket, including a journal bound in animal skin, in which he confides everything. He keeps a small knife, with just a tint of blood upon the point. He keeps his sword, a light, milky white bladed one, in it's sheath across his back. Not many know that the sheath follows the path of his scar exactly. He always has the note he was left with, the one from his parents, and he keeps it tucked in his journal. Other than that, his pockets are full of small plunders from previous raids, as well as amounts of money and small animal furs. He keeps yarn in his room, under his bed. But no one knows that.

Other:
| +
Possible Side-Plot?
Kri finds his parents once again, who he believed to be dead. He lets them board the ship without the permission of Alfhild, and it turns out they work with one of the rival planets. They plunder the ship during the night and are gone when everyone wakes up.

Isa Lykke | +
Name: Isa Lykke = ( Isaz rune + the lucky in nordic)
Age: 19 y.o
Gender: female
Position: "Other - Ships Crew" - cleaning robot maintenance, and other miscellanous duties.

Appearance:
- looks older then 19, maybe due to her experiences, especially the look in her eyes.
- silvery grey eyes
- dark blonde (camomille) Hair, with a touch of silver
- skin a little suntanned
- red burn scars from the Cavros' acid rain, on her right shoulder down to her elbow and waist on the right side.
Takes care to wear long sleeved high necked clothes to cover them.
-a bit on the slim side, but only due to malnutrition, has muscles due to her former training
- around 1,74m (5,8" (?) )

Strengths:
- hard working, seems to be never tired
- smart
- tenacious
- has many talents
- can lipread and use sign language

Weaknesses:
- stubborn, wants to prove herself
- a loner (distrusting)
- can not hear anything
- speaks only the necessary
- introverted and a bit paranoid due her experiences

Abilities:
- stealthy - if on purpose or just a habit, if you dont pay attention,
you wont even see this girl being here, so quiet and unmoving as she usually is.
- is a gifted fighter (knows how to fight with different kinds of weapons)
- can do technical maintenance
- can do basic first aid
- has high survival instincts, and kind of a sixth sense.

History:
Born in the village, and trained primarily as a Fighter from a young age, but also gifted with a talent for mechanics.
After stranding with her former spaceship crew after a fight near Cavros, and surviving the wilderness for some weeks, while fleeing,
she and another two crew members were the sole survivors to be luckily picked up by a passing Ship.
She lost her hearing completely due to an accident there, and is now deemed useless to be a part of a ships main force anymore.
Since it has been her dream to fly on space ships, she stubbornly rejected her parents pleas to come back to Vætta and tried to still get hired on a Ship.
Finally, she got hired by Alfhild Eriksson on the Hrið for the maintenance of the cleaning robots and other miscellanous duties.

Even though the robots of the Valoon are quite convenient, there is still a lot they cant do, for example wash the dishes , or do the laundry. So she is basically the "girl for everything", helps out in the kitchen, does the cleaning and the robot maintenance. She also knows basic first aid, and can be useful around the doctors office.
In her free time she likes to read and make something out of scrap parts.
She can lip read, if the person stands before her eyes, however she doesnt hear anything if you talk to her back. This liability made Isa a little bit paranoid, and introverted.
She has a little robot "Tinky" that looks a bit like an oversized tin can. when its turned on, it has a warning system, so when people come close its lamp will start blinking. She even has different color for each of the main crew members.
Equipment:
Small knife , Mechanical Tools, Cleaning utensils, first aid kit...

Other:
Her robot Tinky. Can blink in different colors and scurry around (malfunctioned cleaning robot that would have been thrown away otherwise. Is capable of basic speech - weak AI.)

Ragna Nærfidottir | +
Name: Ragna Nærfidottir
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Position: Negotiator

Appearance: Ragna is 5' 7" tall, which tends to lean to the shorter side of Norse men and women. She has pale skin and blue eyes. Her hair is cut sort on the left side and is long on the right and is dyed pink from the pigments of the forests of Valdoon. Without the pigment she is a platinum blonde. Ragna rejects the traditional clothing of furs and leather, and prefers the sleek, form fitted uniforms that were modified from Valdoonian clothes. She is marked with a scar that runs at a diagonal across her lips. She is built of lean muscle, designed for equal parts speed and power.

Strengths: Insightful to a disturbing degree, calm and collected always

Weaknesses: She can be very blunt which has gotten her in trouble in the past. Has a sense of superiority, as if she knows somethings others don't. Her calm demeanor is sometimes seen as coldness.

Abilities:
Linguistics - Ragna has a natural talent for alien languages and can speak most without the need of a translator. If she comes across a new language, she is able to pick it up quickly. She is fluent in Vandoolian, Corenan and Ca'vee.
Grappling - In order to maintain her position as a peace keeper, Ragna has to be able to break up fights. Ragna is a skilled grappler, able to take down and subdue opponents without weapons.

History: Ragna is a norse woman who (though she is well versed in it) has shunned much of the tradition of their culture. This includes belief in the Gods. Ragna grew up in the Village like most others on the ship, but was approached by the captain due to her special talent as a linguist. She agreed to join the crew because it was a chance to break away from a life that Ragna feared was growing dreadfully stale. Over the years, she came to accept the fact that the cook would follow her everywhere. Kjoljandr was a good guy she decided, if not always to match her intellectually. She valued his insight on cooking and agreed he had a unique view on cultures based from their food. She is very open with him. Ragna admires the Captain Alfhild's drive and determination to seek the truth, although she does not agree with Alfhild's truth. She is always honest and upfront, but more so with the Captain than others. After-all, she's the one running the ship. Ragna also communicates with Isa on occasion as the two can sign to one another. Fiske is of particular interest to Ragna because of his belief in forging his own path. He is one whom Ragna feels she can come to understand best, although he still hold onto some old beliefs. Ragna left the Village with the belief that there was truth, not Gods, to be discovered out in space. And she intends on finding it. Her name means "giving advice" and though she is always willing to live up her name sake, others aren't always keen on what she has to say. The scar across her lips was the result of an arguement with an emotionally compromised Corenan.

Equipment: Ragna carries a communicator and translator at all times. Her uniform is armored in the chest and shoulders, and she keeps knuckle blades on her person as they are a weapon that doesn't interfere with grappling.

Other:Ragna dyes her hair using pigments from Valdoon's forests (and other places) which she purchases whenever she comes across them from raiders or other merchants. She is also (for lack of a better term) agnostic, as she does not THINK the gods exist but she is open to the possibility.

Johan Liutsson | +
Name: Johan Liutsson
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Position: Navigator
Appearance:He is 6ft tall, with pale skin, and ash blonde hair which is just a little shorter than shoulder length and looks a little choppy. He is rather skinny, and doesn't really have any muscles at all. He has ice-blue eyes, which look somewhat like a glacier. His jawline is hard, and well defined. His nose is a little pointy but not too big. He normally wears a white shirt, and black tight leather trousers, having a scruffy look about him and doesn't really look like the others at all. He normally doesn't wear shoes, so the skin on the sole of his feet has hardened over the years, but he takes care of them.

He also has an Eidetic memory, meaning he can remember everything he has seen or done and places he has been.
History: unknown at this time.
Equipment: Pencil, which he keeps behind his ear and a leather bound journal, in which he keeps all his information and maps.

Inhabited Planets:
Despite having been in Parra Savva for generations, the Norse people have only discovered a handful of inhabited planets in the fast expanse of space. There are still many out there to be explored, but this simple 2-dimensional map provides the basic locations of the most frequented / renown planets.

A densely populated planet with a turbulent past. Constantly at war with itself, it is best to be avoided unless you are looking for the finest ship parts, which is the planet's main product.
Terrain: Rocky and mountainous, with a scattering of small cold lakes and thick forests. Their cities are carved into the mountains themselves, often underground. The air is not breathable to humans.
People: Called Corenians, these creatures stand around 6'0" on average with four thin gray appendages servicing as arms, and two stocky, goat-like legs. They forgo the use of clothes (except shoes), which can often cause friction between them and more sexually introverted species. Speed and detail is of the utmost importance to them, and failure to complete a task with full enthusiasm produces strong feelings of ill will. They are quick to become frustrated at idiocy, and solve most emotional problems with physical violence. They deal mainly in technology and mechanics, working in forges almost their entire lifespan of sixty Earth years.
Status: Neutral

b) Bryaclia - A planet that has been around for many thousands of years, a mixture of lava and water make this planet up. There is hard rock substances where the two have clashed and hardened. Terrain: Lava lakes, water lakes, and rocky obsidian bring a mixture of terrains, the air is mostly carbon dioxide, so has an extensive plant life, but is mainly toxic to humans without aid of equipment, the cities are basic but well built, most are up in the trees, much like tree houses. However, there are also settlements in below the lava lakes and also cities submerged under the water.
People: There are 3 races of people on Bryaclia:
i) Bryaclians - these are the people whom live on the land parts, in the tree house cities, they are very humanesque in appearance, but have a green tinged skin, and flame orange hair, they are a quiet and peaceful race, whom don't travel off their planet, but nor do they expect others to come stomping around theirs. Their lifespan is unknown as there is no measurement of time on the planet.
Status: Non-hostile
ii) Lavlians - these are the creatures whom live in the settlements in the lakes of lava, their flesh is hard as rock, and a dark brown colour in appearance, they are hairless, and have glass-like eyes, they can breathe outside of the lava, however, they can not fall asleep anywhere else as when they sleep the air above the lake would become toxic to them.
Status: Hostile
iii) Vaporeons - these are the people whom live in the cities submerged in the watery lakes, their skin is a fluorescent blue colour, and have very long hair on their head, as well as gills on their necks to allow them to breathe under water. They can live anywhere aside from in the lava, as it would turn them to stone almost instantly. They don't like the Lavlians, and try to avoid them at all costs, but they will trade with the Bryaclians.
Status: Neutral

c) Cavros - This planet is completely woodland, with a few pools of water here and there, but are far and few between. All the houses and buildings are made from wood or hollowed out trees.
Terrain: Woodland, but flat for the most part, with a few hills and slopes here and there, mainly where the pools are formed at the bottom, it does rain a lot, but the heat means not much water gets to the floor most of the time. The Rain is quite acidic, but the plants and people there have adapted, the air is non-toxic to humans, but the rain can burn them badly.
People: Cav'ee, these are the people whom inhabit Cavros, their flesh colour depends on the gender, the females are a tan colour, whilst the males range in different colours of leaf-green, they have wings to allow them to fly above the trees in search for food and water. They are resourceful, and use wood as a means of trade with other planets and people, they are known to be very defensive creatures and have a small space port on the outlines of their planet for those who wish to travel into the planet, which is policed and monitored to stop harm coming unto their people. They live for aroun 100 earth years, but translated into their years is almost 1000.
Status: Hostile

d) communal planet

e) Ganjin -
This planet is almost completely submerged in water, giving it many unique forms of life. There are two intelligent species on this planet that live in harmony, willing to trade with anyone who will adhere to their customs and traditions.
Terrain: Made almost entirely of water with sparse gray cliffs occasionally jutting out of the freshwater surface. Some of these cliffs are smoothed at the top to encourage docking of ships for trade and visitation, Ganjin being somewhat of a popular vacation getaway.
People: Their are two completely different species of intelligent life on Ganjin, one being the Andin and the other the Soj.
i) The Andin are more hospitable, being kind and generous hosts. They control most of Ganjin's tourist industry, and love any kind of cash that they can get their hands on, which can make them gullible. The Andin are also experts of horticulture, growing a variety of foods, most of which can be eaten by humans. They have thin, oval-shaped heads with two large eyes protruding from the sides, much like a shark. Their bodies are small, wiry, and covered with a beautiful array of fins similar to that of Earth's betta. They range in colour from light blue to dark purple, or copper. The average Andin lives to be forty-five Earth years, and being mostly pacifists, they require the protection of their counterparts, the Soj.
Status: Neutral
ii) The Soj are more careful than the Andin, and are quite scholarly. Of all the races in Parra Savva, they are perhaps the most like humans in ideology and culture. The are industrialists and enjoy civilized culture and comforts, such as board games and communication akin to the Internet. The average Soj is rather large in width at the shoulders, their body streamlining from there into small hips and feet. Their head is round and set into their shoulders, adorned with horn-like appendages, curling around their head until it reaches their back. They have three fingers and one thumb on each hand, claw-like in appearance. A Soj is either light gray or dark gray, with varying eye colours.
Status: Hostile

f) Valdoon -
The planet the Norse were dropped on to, resulting in the plague that wiped out the entire inhabiting race, the Valdoonians.
Terrain: an urban wasteland of silver, spiraling towers covers most of the planet, with occasional pink forests. Like planet Earth, it is two thirds water. Without the Valdoonians, most technology has been taken, and the forests have begun to take the cities back from their former masters. The air is save to breathe for humans. The planet is often patrolled by desperate scavengers or nearby planetary police, watching to be sure that the humans do not return.
People: Once inhabited by the Valdoonians, a race of beings with a light orange flesh, which would change colour as they grew, and shed the skin, somewhat like snakes, they were born a yellow/orange colour, and when they become adults it changed into a brighter orange, then when they were old and dying it was more of a dark red-orange. They were thin, but small creatures which had no gender definitions, and all their young were artificially created in a laboratory to ensure the continuation of their race. They had 4 arms, and two legs, their hands and feet were much like that of a monkey, which meant if they were needed, their feet could be just as useful as their hands. Their eyes were all black, and they could see for up to 3 miles away without the aid of technology. They were hairless aside from a mustache, which was a dark purple-y colour. They spent a lot of their time studying star charts and how to live off the land, they were very resourceful creatures.
Status: extinct

Other Locations:

Vætta -
A massive spaceship, containing many of the Norse people who are either too weak, too young, or too old to be well off on their own. It is also known as 'the Village'. Most Norse warriors were taught and trained here.

Hey there, I'm game to play the 2nd in command if that spot is open. I wont be able to get a character written up until Thursday night or Friday (Eastern time), so if that's a problem I can take another spot. Thanks!

@TinMan, as long as @Cotton is okay with that, I think 2nd in Command is still available. :)

Duly noted and recorded, Sentience. Glad to have you on board!
Also, the character sheet has been adjusted slightly, with the addition of an 'equipment' field. If you have been working on your character, please be sure to add it!

Other: N/A

---

Hope it's alright @Cotton, if there's anything you need me to tweak or change let me know ^_^

This sounds very fun and I'm very much interested; if you'll have me, I'd love to take the medic role. :)

Gang, I'm sorry to do this but I need to step away for the time being. I have a whole month of travel for holidays and work planned right now and my posting will be limited across the board. I think it's best not to jump into anything new right now. Apologies and thanks,

Mike

@Sentience - Your character is an excellent addition to the crew! I hope, for his sake, that he at least has enough fighting skill to know which side of a sword is the pointy one.

And thanks for letting us know @TinMan . Feel free to jump in any time in the future should you wish! You'll always be welcome.

Apologies for the delay in response, Turtle! Your character is accepted and will be added to the list shortly.
Looks like we've got a good crew so far! I've been working on the IC, and it should be up in a week or so. Of course, we'll always be open to new members after we start. If anyone wishes, they can have a secondary character.
