Tried a little something different here guys. Edited together music I wanted and made a video for you all to watch instead of having to read! Don't worry, If you don't want to watch, I still have mood music and the written text below that! Enjoy! Amidst mountains, seas, and fields of green Lay the kingdom that is now called Trinity In years past it prospered and thrived The land's name was Azeroth when it was unified King Gabriel ensured it held an air of peace It was as if that atmosphere would never cease Three sons had he and each diverse in mind But each was surprised when their father died
The king had prepared for his death bed you see So he'd arranged for his kingdom to be split into three The seas to the oldest, the fields to the middle And the mountains to the son who was still quite little Devastated, saddened, and riddled with pain They each took each others names in vain The anger grew, and all three fought They each prayed for the other two to rot
The youngest son is bound by a temper of flame He was effected most by his father's passing away He is strong, stubbon, and tough to the core The boy's biggest flaw is his hateful scorn He worked hard, and he deserved that throne! If he has his way, his brothers soon will be gone
The middle brother is plagued by a feeling of robbery His father's focus had been on his brothers, never on he The oldest son was important, he was the first born And the youngest was too, being the baby gave him charm But the middle is ignored and always would be He learned that a lot being the middle of three He is sick and tired of being looked over And for that each of his brothers would suffer
The oldest is calm, collected, and clever But he is bothered by the need to dominate nature He has to be empowered to feel he is right For he believes it's his fault their father died that night Of the trio of boys, he cares for them most But he won't see his father's kingdom fall in their woes So he just sits back and takes their venom But he soon would take power and do what's best for them Hello guys and welcome to another Lewi roleplay! Hope you enjoyed the mood music that I mixed up specifically for this roleplay! This is another roleplay that I have attempted and bombed at every single time. I had high hopes for this one too just like Scarborough, and it never really seemed to be what I wanted out of it. I am hoping you can all help me change that! And if you couldn't tell by now, I am a sucker for medieval plots lol. So here is the down low on this one. This plot is about a trio of brothers and the different viewpoints of brothers born in a different spot in order. I really tried to capture the different "sibling syndromes" as I like to call them. Such as the youngest sibling being spoiled or the middle one feeling ignored. This particular plot takes place in three separate kingdoms that had been a unified nation a few years prior called Azeroth. The middle ground has been called the outlands since the split and is where all three regions meet. Below is a rough map I've drawn of how they are set up and a key is below to help you understand the markings. Yellow = Borders between kingdoms Blue = Ocean and Linloch Castle (Oldest Brother's Territory) Red = Mekova Castle (Youngest Brother's Territory) Brown = Mountains Dark Green = Alderion Castle (Middle Brother's Territory) Light Green = Fields and Farmland Gray = Area in the rest of the kingdom out of the immediate vicinity of the trio. This is what the kingdoms look like currently. As stated before, they weren't always separate. They came to be separated when the father of three princes took ill and he made the decision to split the kingdom three ways on his death bed to avoid conflict amongst his sons for domination and simply because he loved all three of them dearly and couldn't bring himself to choose between or just hand over the kingdom to his oldest because he was born first. Little did he know, that he simply sparked the fire in them for conflict. The youngest brother was too young to understand his father's abrupt passing when it happened and holds onto that anger as well as the frustration of having always been treated like he couldn't handle anything himself just because he's the youngest, and the middle brother always felt he was in the shadow of the older one and the younger one and despite the king loving him just the same, holds an ill will towards his late father because of the favoritism he felt was there growing up and he doesn't plan to stand in their shadows much longer. The oldest one always felt like it was his job to manage his brothers and even after his father's death feels that this is still the case and that the kingdom should be united under his rule so they don't screw it up. What this all boils down to is being the ultimate battle royale between three brothers who have a rivalry that's ripe for the picking, and who knows what will happen when everything starts rolling. Will they be able to make up and bring unity back to their trinity of kingdoms? Or will they wipe each other off the map trying to fill their father's massive shoes? With this roleplay I plan to start after their father's death about 6 years so that things have enough time to brew amongst the three. From there I plan to go through the little squabbles and more than likely breaking points of war between the trio, and then through the solution of how they settle it whether it be killing their opposing two off, or trying to work together to bring their kingdoms back to unity like things were under their father's reign. Oh, and not to mention tossing others into their lives to add to the drama and such for good measure! Kingdom Information - Mekova | +
Mekovian Kingdom
Mekovian Valley
Welcome to the kingdom of Mekova. Where the terrain is harsh, and the king is harsher. The land is cold, cruel, and unforgiving. Huge mountain spires topped with snow spiral up into the clouds on all sides of this kingdom, and the only way in or out is through the valley that opens to the south of the kingdom. If one travels down into one of the valleys they wouldn't find much in the way of vegetation because the valleys are usually flooded with runoff from melted snow that lies along the temperature border between the part of the mountain near the top that stays cold and the warmer part down in the valley too hot to sustain snow. There is a month or so though in the winter where it gets cold enough to freeze these ravines and they can be traversed on the ice. They're too rocky and full of rapids for boat travel (should one manage to get a boat into the area) so most people choose to brave the cold and cross the mountains rather than try to travel hidden in the valleys. The youngest king has a little bit of a resentment for magic, and because of that is most untrusting of his oldest brother from Linloch whom relies heavily on magic and sports the Trinity's magic capital as his abode. The main export from this area is the iron and coal and other resources that can be pulled from the ground. They're also the leading exporter of stone from rock quarries. The area is very haphazard and because of this it makes the kingdom very hard to get to and well protected, but also because of this, it makes it hard to farm. There isn't much soil to work with, and it stays so cold that very few things will grow. The militaries loyalty is more to its general than the king while the Royal Guard, the Iron Wolves, only serve the king in the name of their leader. Mekova's main military has an almost complete lack of magic users due to the kings beliefs about it while the Iron Wolves have a limited number of magic users trained in the arts of desert magic even though they are few and far between due to the Iron Wolves focus on physical abilities rather than magic. Due to the mountainous terrain the military is well trained for fighting in their homeland however lack training for other terrains. The kingdom relies on Alderion for most of its food though its general has been attempting to set up trade with the tribes in the east to lower this dependence. Other Info About Mekova Iron Wolves - http://creativefreedomrpg.com/viewtopic ... 39#p316235
Strengths: Defensive Terrain, High Stock of Stone, High Stock of Iron, High Stock of Coal, Because of the king's strict attitude crime rate is at a low, military is physically strong, has good relationships with eastern tribes
Weaknesses: Military's loyalty lies in the general rather than the king, relies heavily on Alderion for food, terrain doesn't promote growth of their own food, nor does it allow for adequate training simulations for other terrains, military isn't versed in magic.
- Alderion | +
Alderion Kingdom
Alderion Plains
Welcome to Alderion! Home of the agriculture capital of the Trinity! In Alderion, they have a monopoly on all of the farmland and flatland in the Trinity, and this kingdom is responsible for exporting food to the other two. If they want vegetables, fruit, or even grain to make flour, they have to be on good terms with Alderion. The king here is more lax than his younger sibling, but he has a bit of a complex when his siblings are brought into the conversation. He has the feeling that he has lived his life in the shadow of his other two siblings, so he's determined to have them have to look at him for SOMETHING. That something just happens to be his control over the food export. This part of the kingdom is warm and sunny, but has rain more frequently than the other two, so it makes it ideal for the farming district. The military also isn't as prominent as the other two kingdoms because of the amount of civilians that moved here to work in the fields. Compared to the amount of people they have to protect, their military is dwarfed. They also have a booming livestock business here because of the wide open area. The castle itself has a wall around it, and it has watch towers here and there around the road leading up to the kingdom because of the wide open area, but because of the terrain, there's little to no protection from outside forces. He makes up for this in threatening to cut off the food supply. Strengths: Monopoly on food production, Able to see threats coming for miles, largest population, relatively mild weather aside from rain storms
Weaknesses: Small military, the king has a inferiority complex, flat area offers no protection, having a monopoly over the food in the Trinity makes them a prime target
- Linloch | +
Linloch Kingdom
Linloch Jungles
Welcome to the Kingdom of Linloch! Sun, Sand, Sea, and a king who has OCD to the point of having to be a control freak on everything! He often winds up sticking his nose into his brother's business trying to help, but ultimately all it does it make the other two irritated with him. Because he's the oldest, and he's used to having to take care of them when they were younger, he feels that they don't know what they're doing in their kingdoms now. He also feels his birthright was robbed from him when his father made his deathbed decision to split the kingdom. Linloch is a seafaring kingdom that has a bustling market district. They control the trade with other nations because they're the only kingdom out of the Trinity that has a port and ships to sail with to trade. This is the culture capital of the Trinity because if it's within the trio of kingdoms, you can find it here. From exotic items to art to getting something common in bulk, Linloch has it. Linloch also is the magical capital of the Trinity and they have the magic academy within their city. Magic users travel here from all walks of life to train among the best. Because they're a seafaring city, they have the fish market monopolized as well as natural protection from the sea. Outside of this city, they're surrounded in jungle, so it can make it easy to get lost, and with the abundance of wild life, plants, and insects in the jungle, it can make it difficult for one not informed to travel here. They have a strong military comprised mostly of magic users and this makes them very diverse, but they lack training in physical combat. They know the basics, but they're lacking in it for the most part.
Strengths: Sea trade, magic academy, diverse military, jungles surrounding the city offer protection from the front, sea offers protection from the back, the king is calm and patient
Weaknesses: The king underestimates his brothers, he focuses on their problems more than his own city's, he has a higher crime rate here because of all the transport going on of both people in and out and goods, because of being on the sea's edge he's at higher risk for inclement weather
Other Areas, Groups, and Info - The Abbasid Desert | +
The vast desert serves as a natural barrier between the trinity and the empires in the far east. Centuries ago travel across the desert was easy and safe thanks to the Abbasid Caliphate, that the desert was named for, protecting travel. However after the death of Caliph Al-Qadir his sons tore the Caliphate apart over who would take his place, engulfing the desert in wars that would become almost common place in the coming years. In the current years many emirates and sultanates are spread amoungst the desert, the many towns and villages became accustom to their constant change of rulers. Sultan Saladin rules over the Umayyad Sultanate controlling the oasis-es along the borders of the trinity serving as a gateway to the desert. Many tribes and dynasties fill the desert constantly fighting for power leading to an abundance of well trained and experienced soldiers.
- The Magics of the Desert | +
The origins of the art is believed to have been started by Zun when he was granted power over the deserts by the god Amun to defeat the demon Erebus and free the people of the desert from the long night. The art has since been passed down throughout the generations by the priests and monks of Amun to those they deem worthy. As time passed, the art passed out of just the priest becoming common amongst royal guards and temple guards throughout the deserts. Upon gaining of the rank of journeyman in the art they travel to oasis of Amun to find a desert topaz. Once their's is found it is bound to their soul and usually socketed within their weapon of choice. The Topaz's connection to the desert greatly improves their magical power and is considered a symbol of power and status. A Grand master of the art is the final rank within the art and considered to be the chosen of Amun. To fight a Grand Master in the desert is to fight the desert itself.
- The Zunists | +
The religion is based around the deities Amun and Erebus. Amun is the god of light and is the embodiment of the desert, while Erebus is the god of the abyss and the embodiment of night. It is written that before the battle between Zun and Erebus their was no light in the world. The demon Erebus dominated the world in an era call the long night, enslaving humanity. The god Amun gave the hero Zun Power over the desert to defeat Erebus and bring an end to the long night. Zun defeated the demon but was mortally wounded in the process. Amun, to reward the hero, placed him in the sky making the sun so he could forever chase away darkness and protect his people. Zunist Priest serve Amun and honor Zun and his sacrifice while practicing the magic he gave them to protect the peoples of the desert.
- The Cathar Church | +
The Cathar Church formed within the kingdoms to the east of the Abbasid Desert. The church worships at the end of every week in their impressive cathedrals and churches spread throughout the kingdom. When the Refugees travelled from the eastern kingdoms through the Abbasid Desert, to arrive in the peninsula that would later be the home to the trinity, they brought the beliefs of the church with them. In the centuries of separation from the main church their have been many minor changes to the structure of the church over time. The Church is lead by a council made of Cardinals, its highest ranking members of the clergy, well the bishops watch over different areas of the churches land. The church is generally well known for its acts of charity throughout the kingdom and the work it performed with the late king in hopes to help the kingdoms less fortunate subjects. The priests within the church are known for their study of healing magic, using it to heal the sick and injured. The bishops in Mekova have begun to talk out rather often about the Zunist temples the iron wolves helped set up for their own worship. Due to this perceived threat of the Zunist faith many priests have begun speaking out about those who have fallen from the graces of god and began to follow other faiths.
- The Free Cities | +
The group of island republics that call themselves the Free Cities, which lie off to the west of the coast of Linloch, who is their primary trade partner in the region, were originally part of the Yuán Empire. The empire ruled over the cities from the mainland to the west and help grow them into the prosperous trade cities that they are today. The cities and the empire had a falling out 4 centuries back when the newly appointed emperor, fearing the power his predecessors had allowed to grow within the cities, began to impose heavy tariffs on the trade in the cities. He claimed it was to help the empire but frequently used it for personal gain. The cities saw this and grew angery with the fool stockpiling money and resources in secret. After years of planning the cities, with the help of the mass of mercenaries they hired, declared independence of the empire and fought off the many attempts to put down their rebellion.
After years of war the empire was forced give up its attacks on the free cities in favor of defending against its neighbors attempts to capitalize on their detraction. With their new freedom the cities expanded with the abundance of wealth brought in with the tariffs gone. Out of this conflict two cities grew to lead trade within the island trade. The Free City of Shanxi and The Republic of Toba, the two cities boast large mercenary armies that protect trade and hang the pirates that pop up from time to time. The Free Cities, as well as Yuán Empire, follow a mixture between the Shinto and Buddhist religions. As time has past the two religions have seemed to blend together as people put less faith into the deeper parts of the religions and began following them out of social norms rather than actual faith.
- The Free City of Shanxi | +
The Free City of Shanxi, having formed from an imperial expedition, is more numerous and controls more land than any of the other republics. Due to the large number of citizens Shanxi is forced to employ a very large mercenary retinue as well as their personal army raised from its many citizens and vassal cities. Though less trained and poorly armed in compared to its rivals in Toba their numbers make them a threat to any who would make war against them. The city is ruled by the decedents of the man who lead the expedition and founded the city. Thanks to the size of its army and navy that it employs the city is paid tribute by many of the smaller republics to protect their trade ships from piracy.
- The Republic of Toba | +
The Republic of Toba, having formed from refugees of wars on the empires borders, has a significantly smaller number of citizens and controlled land. To make up for its small size the city takes training and equipping of its soldiers very seriously. Due to the size of their rival, Toban soldiers have formed their own caste within the city training their own codes of honor and loyalty into the next generation of soldiers aside from what the city's government set down as training standards. The city is ruled by a council made up of the heads of the city's richest merchant families with the most prestigious and powerful serving as the cities mayor. It is rare for one family to hold the position of mayor for more than 2 generations due to the constant flux of power. The city, though having a better equipped and trained army has fewer tribute states amongst the smaller republics though has more support from the independent republics in the island chain.
- Broken Rock Isle | +
The Continent lies far north the peninsula that the trinity lie upon far from the three continents of man. The massive island is made almost entirely of volcanic rock from the many, now dormant, volcanoes that gave birth to the island so many millennia ago. The ancient island is the birth place of the great dragons that once ruled lands of man and the current home of their decedents. The island is covered in jagged and rigid black rock with fires erupting from the few small active volcanoes left and the breath of the dragons that live there. The few beaches on the island are white as snow made from the long since pulverized bones from the battles that ended the wars with the dragons of old and the eventual evolution of their decedents.
- Dragons | +
Nearly 4 millennia ago the original dragons to be born from the broken rock ruled over the lands of man. The beasts were larger and more powerful than even the strongest of their modern day decedents. The dragons at that time were highly intelligent and forged a great empire spanning all three continents. Rebellions were easily put down for centuries as they prospered until the age of magic arose. Throughout the continents of man large armies, now armed with their varying forms of magic, rose in rebellion and a massive war began. After nearly a century of conflict, their population now waning, the dragons were pushed back to their homeland and trapped there. Over the millennia man forgot of the wars, replaced by legends and religious origin stories, and the dragons evolved loosing much of their once great intelligence and becoming more beast like in appearance as their magic weakened to the point of being but the ability to breath fire.
Avaliable Roles Roles in RED mean that we WON'T start without them! Roles in BLUE are roles that are preferred! Also, the reason why the position of the oldest king is not listed is because I intend on playing him! If you wish to take a place that directly associates with him (such as either of the brothers) or any one character, you should check the character sheet of the character involved to make sure there aren't any conflicts. Characters that are crossed out mean they're taken! - The Oldest King
- The Youngest King
- The Middle King

*Okay, about the someone associated with their father role, I wasn't sure what exactly to call it as it could be many things. But I thought it could be interesting to have someone going between the three that knew their father back when he was alive, perhaps even them when they were younger, such as an advisor, or a close friend, or something that is trying to influence them all to just get along. Do with that what you will. Example Character Sheet For those interested in playing the brother(s), I will have a character sheet up soon! Name: Age: Sexual Orientation: (for in case someone wants to play a romantic interest to your character) Which brother are they: (only applicable if one of the brothers) Kingdom Associated With: Job/Career: Magic: Yes or no and what kind History: Appearance: (Would greatly GREATLY prefer a photograph so that we can accurately picture your character. Photograph may be of any art style.) Other Need-To-Know Information and Rules - @Blackmarket Salesman is your Co-GM
- Multiple characters are allowed
- Please don't make your character overpowered
- Remember to inform a person whom you're referencing to their character that you've posted by tagging them
- If you're beginning to get behind or you are holding everyone up, I will private message you and poke you, or ask what's up. Please don't go RAWR EAT YO' FACE! on me. I am just trying to make sure things are chill with you.
- I reserve the right if you're being mean, holding everyone up for a ridiculous amount of time (I understand things happen) or *insert other reasons here* to kick you from the roleplay.
- If something happens unexpectedly and you don't want to drop the roleplay I will allow you to come back in later as long as you give me a heads up to what's going on (you don't have to tell detail if you don't want to) and let me know you'll be gone for an extended period and you dismiss your character to do something for a long while (preferably something that would last for a few days at least so that it doesn't sound weird in the roleplay), then you will be allowed back when you return and brought up to speed to what's going on.
- Feel free to suggest things!
