I am attending my son's Cub Scout Camp this week as an adult leader. It is exhausting. I should be able to come up with something this Saturday.

Summer Camp was fun, especially for the boys. I had some good times too. It did feel strange to be away from my daughters so much. My youngest had never been apart from me for so long. Every day, my feet were pained and my voice hoarse from yelling. We sing songs as we walk (march) from place to place at camp. The singing must be done at the top of ones lungs as well.

Last night I took the kids to Shakespeare in the park. We watched an updated version of Romeo & Juliet. The Producer of the performance had grown up in the 1990s. Although she maintained the bard's original script, the costumes and set design were all set in the 1990s. You could find several references to American pop culture. It was really a marvelous performance. My kids loved it too.

So, with that said, Professor Jordan intends to put on Romeo & Juliet this year at Hogwarts' theatre club/class. !shades

Just a quick note - if it was referred to Leandra as Head of Ravenclaw, that would be Bernice. Sorry if I misread, I do tend to do it every now and then.

Description: Elias prefers to keep a tidy outward appearance, despite his personality suggesting he is everything but. He never was athletic, standing at a rather modest 170cm (5’7”) with only the necessary muscles and very little body fat. He has a fairly angular face, a pointed nose, and sometimes wears glasses over his stormy coloured eyes. His brown hair is kept short, but he often neglects to shave his facial hair, especially when deeply involved in a project.
Personality: Hopelessly scatterbrained, Eli works in what he describes as an organised mess. Everything may appear to be in a heap, but it’s all where he needs it to be. Everything has its place, and woe be to anyone who dares to change it. He believes very strongly in his divinations, but is obsessed with reading them correctly; so much so, in fact, that he will often use several different methods to confirm his forecast. He is often regarded as having his head in the clouds, but despite the popular opinion, he rather fancies the company of others. He looks out for his closest colleagues and casts wands for them daily. He refuses to live in the past, almost stubbornly so, and becomes agitated if the subject is unearthed.

Brief background: Elias spent his first year at Hogwarts as target practice for curses (courtesy of the Carrows), and haunted almost every night by the dementors looming past literally just outside his window. It was not a great year, and he almost didn't want to come back the following school year, if he hadn't met his only friend and future wife, Nia Tawney. Elias excelled in several areas, namely Divination and Charms, and after Hogwarts, was recruited in the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes. He wed Nia, whom had become an auror, and soonafter they had their first (and only) child. She fell ill during the pregnancy, and soon after birthing Tegan did she succumb. Elias left the Ministry to raise her, and during this time he honed his skills in Divination, in the hopes that he would foresee the dangers and prevent them. Now that Tegan is of age to attend school, Elias has embraced the opportunity to return to Hogwarts to do what he loves.

Additional skills, if any (another discipline in which your character is particular skilled other than their own): Proficient in offensive and defensive spells, hexes, curses, jinxes, etc. Also an Animagus, able to take on the form of a hawk.

Description: Elias has a tall and thin frame, but his muscles are corded and well defined. He has a light but tan complexion, dark brown hair with blonde tips styled into a faux hawk, and hazel eyes. Has a varied set of styles all for different occassions, from plain black robes while teaching(Herbology can be dirty work), to elegant cloaks which are mostly also in dark colors but adorned or accesorized with other, brighter colors. Always wears a redwood pendant carved in the shape of a wood and painted red.

Personality (qualities, flaws, I need your character to be described as a real person): Elias is well mannered and well tempered, and although that can oftentimes be a farce, his nature is to be innately polite to people he doesn't know very well. Once you're in his good graces, however, friendly mannerisms are likely to stop altogether, as he has a rather rude sense of humor and tends to make fun of all and any friends he has. He likes to keep the tone light whenever he's discussing things, and is as clever as he is intelligent. Due to this, being highly social tends to exhaust him, and he enjoys seeking time to spend by himself to gather his thoughts. Whenever he's found tending to his own matters, therefore, he can seem a lot more quiet and reserved than usual. This causes many to think he has a bipolar, double personality, though to his knowledge, he is well liked and respected. He's not the most honest of persons, however, and acts far more humble than he truly is. He's invested in being a good instructor, to motivate students, and to make good friends, but he isn't necessarily very interested in being a wholly good person. Although he does err on the side of benevolence and is often generous to those he likes, he can be cold and distant from those he doesn't like, and is often pragmatic when situations get difficult. He prefers to tackle most problems with his wit, rather than head on, but in his mind he'd like to believe he's more brave than he actually is. His personality is always on a teetering edge between being scrupulous and not, making him easy to convince in swinging one way or the other. Still, Elias is young at heart, and deeply enjoys having fun with friends, getting into trouble, and exploring new places, particularly in the natural world. He has more of a conscience when it comes to the natural world than with people, as well.

Dislikes: Peevish people, preachy people, overly excitable people, people who are easily annoyed, and anyone who claims to be righteously good or is incredibly, undeniably evil. Also dislikes the heavy industrialization of the Muggle world.

Fears: Anyone who seems like they may be smarter than him, overt loneliness, unmanageably large crowds of people where he can't observe what most of them are doing.

Dreams: Step/soar on/over every natural preserve on the planet, and, very secretly, to find someone he can truly open up to, someone that understands his complex personality.

Brief background from birth to the current moment (at least the major highlights of the character's life): Elias was born in a small Wizarding village by the mountains as an only child, where he was equally lonely and popular. Having a charismatic sort of nature from a very young age, he found many a friend among the other wizard and witch children that lived in the village, and would spend time with them as often as he could, but his parents were very stale of personality and strict by nature. Having gone through a lot of struggles themselves in their earlier years, they thought to shield their only son from harm by restricting his time spent with strangers, but Elias deeply resented this. He liked his parents well enough apart from that, but their taciturn manner meant he never developed a truly loving relationship with them, and he often found himself sneaking out at night into the woods, becoming entranced with the trees, the animals, and the moonlight itself. He was completely beside himself when he finally got to attend Hogwarts, and made the best of his time there, excelling in both academics and social life. He was Ravenclaw's star Seeker, a prefect, and could have been Head Boy had he decided that those responsibilities and attentions would only drag him down from being able to truly have fun. After Hogwarts, he traveled to the countries of Oceania to research little known plants and herbs useful as both healing tonics and reinvigorating draughts. He wrote a book on his findings, and after having his research be enthusiastically received, he was offered the position of Herbology professor at Hogwarts, where he's about to begin his third in the position.
