It's going to be about how he starts out with a woman, his lover, and possibly in time his wife, whom he falls head over heels in love with in his kingdom called Scarborough (just so the title fits), and is blinded by her love so much so that he follows her manipulation. What he doesn't know is that she's in love with an enemy kingdom's king, and she intends to get to the king of Scarborough so that she can in essence take his kingdom right out from under him and give it to the other guy from the enemy kingdom that she loves. This can be something she's put up to do, or it can be something she does of her own will depending on who is playing the character and what they wish. It sparks a war. A bloody war between the two breaks out and it's during this difficult time she begins to slip up and reveal her true colors because of the pressures put on her because of the war time, her getting sick of spending time with Scarborough's king, or whatever other reason you can think of (I will let whoever claims her be that judge), and the king of Scarborough finds out about her plan all too late. So from there the king of Scarborough flees with a broken heart, and nothing left since he's lost everything.
For the rest of this post, I SWEAR I AM NOT AS MEAN AS I SOUND! I just find being blunt helps with clarity. What I had in mind for this roleplay is that we would begin somewhere along where he meets this evil woman, and go up to the war and where he's ran off, then through his fleeing, him finding another lover who's genuine, and maybe even his attempt at retaking his kingdom? I know I want to play through him losing his kingdom, then at that point and his fleeing, and finding someone new, but after that we can go with the flow or work out where it goes as a group. I don't think we will have any issues with that for awhile though because it's going to be pretty far off. For the person playing the woman who overthrows him and the evil king, if you can't think of anything else to do with your time while the true king of Scarborough is off doing his thing, you could play out making changes in the kingdom, problems or possible growing distrust amongst each other, or whatever else you could think up. I know it's vague after a point, but I don't want to try to write out everything that should happen and then take all the fun out, but there are certain events I want to happen.
For clarification: The blue part is the song Scarborough Fair's lyrics as performed by Simon and Garfunkel. The music I selected to set the mood above is NOT by Simon and Garfunkel. I claim no rights to it. It's significance here (since I've been told on other sites when taking this plot for a test run it makes no sense or is confusing) is to the broken hearted king and how it's essentially given him unreal expectations for a future lover, thus the mentions of impossible tasks like sewing without seams and using a leather sickle, because of past experience. The red is mine, and that is the aftermath of the war.
Fun Fact: As if the lyrics weren't kick butt enough, parsley is symbolic for removing bitterness, sage is symbolic for strength, rosemary is symbolic for faithfulness, love, and remembrance, and thyme is symbolic for courage if that helps to clarify further the meaning and significance of the blue part.

- If something happens unexpectedly and you don't want to drop the roleplay I will allow you to come back in later as long as you give me a heads up to what's going on (you don't have to tell detail if you don't want to) and let me know you'll be gone for an extended period and you dismiss your character to do something for a long while (preferably something that would last for a few days at least so that it doesn't sound weird in the roleplay), then you will be allowed back when you return and brought up to speed to what's going on.

Things that WILL HAPPEN during this roleplay- The war will NOT happen right away HOWEVER it is acceptable for the person playing the evil king to occupy his time until war time by discreetly finding out ways to communicate with the woman going into the kingdom of Scarborough to overthrow the king there, preparing his troops and army, spy missions into Scarborough, or whatever else you can think of to try to occupy his time.
- Much the same way that the evil king can occupy his time above, after the war when the true king of Scarborough flees, as it was mentioned above, the evil king and the woman who overthrows the true king can occupy their time by playing out making changes in the kingdom, problems or possible growing distrust amongst each other, or whatever else you could think up, etc.
- The enemy kingdom WILL WIN in the war against Scarborough even if it's possible that there's a retaliation from the true king in the future. The first war that results in him losing the kingdom will be won by the evil kingdom, no exceptions. Any type of warfare in the future afterwards is up in the air.
- Battle discussion between generals, kings, myself, or other peoples of importance will occur via private message amongst the group, or if that won't work since I am still trying to remember the way things work here on the forums, a private thread away from the sight of the other members of the roleplay so that there are still surprises and it won't spoil anything for them.
- We won't start without the RED ROLES filled above!
