I updated the 19th Century Tactics Guide to include information on a Corps Tactical Road March (TRM) and distance & time for units on the march.

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, gift, or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes. "

My post is up. I wasn't sure exactly how I want to play this, but I hope I managed to put something out that you guys can work with. I have a feeling this is going to turn into a very good RP. :D

Hey Peter. Awesome post. I like the interactions with the other players. When was that dinner thing supposed to happen?

Well, I figured we each had to inspect our troops before actually giving the orders to march and all. So we'd have at least the next few days for it to happen. I don't know, since we're up in the north, and I imagine our troops are stationed in our respective home provinces. There might have to be some sort of time lapse post or something.

By the way, feel free to have any of your characters crash the vase. If not, I'll just have an NPC do it, or something like that. :D

Lol sounds good. Seems like something Viktor's son Roderick would do. He's a rough and tumble sort.

But Viktor would be more than willing to attend the dinner and will write you a letter accepting.

There will be a time lapse. Where each corps starts its march, will be different. None should be near the capital. The corps takes up a large piece of ground.

Dadsky assumes correct! This is going to be slow going anyway. Captain has a job now and can only look at the RP on weekends.

I am this year's recipient of the Slow Poster Award. I can empathize with folks not being able to post right away. Please take your time. This is one of those things I've always wanted to do. I am excited about doing this, but don't get me wrong. I am not a young person, where I think I need posts going up every ten minutes or even once a day. Whenever you are ready, let it fly!

Also, I may make a time jump before you post to put units out on the border. You can always catch up. In the 2nd Post of the OOC thread I include an Events Log. This is a tl;dr item. If you are looking for a quick fix on what has happened thus far, you can catch up with that. I haven't posted anything in it yet, but will once we get going along.

No pressure here and don't get nervous if I do post. I may get a post up once every two weeks, just to keep things going. Like I said, I'll use the Events Log to keep those people who are working and moving to stay in the loop.

For those still interested in this RP, I have begun working on a follow up post.
I will time jump eight days to 23 April 1801. My post will include:
1. Observations from Army Headquarters at Ford City.
2. Cavalry reports to Army of the Boar
3. Cavalry reports to Army of the Anglia
4. Cavalry reports to II Corps HQs in the south.
5. Reports from villagers in affected areas.

Contact with the enemy has not occurred yet.

Those who have not posted and wish to get back in, may do so when they are ready. You can even use flashbacks. Simply post a date at the beginning of your post.
