That's fine. I think I'll attempt to get the thread up tomorrow and if anyone else wishes to join they can do so at any time. I have several campaigns planned for the setting so even if things are too busy to participate in the first you might want to try another when it's put up.

By the way everything starts off in San Larona so for all those who are still planning on joining think of a reason for your characters to have gone there.

Alright so, we start in san lorona right. Is there something you plan on taking place there is that right? Or do you just want us all in one place to make it easier. Because we are from different factions so wouldnt that just start a war right on the spot?

San-Larona is considered a neutral city in which talks for peace are being held. Even though the war is raging on in the rest of the world people from different sides can gather there in relative safety. There is plot events that will occur of course but as a meeting place it allows those from different ideological backgrounds to interact.

Physique: A little more slender than the average soldier, he is still a toned fighter. His body is well kept and evenly proportioned.
Hair: His spikey hair style is wild. His hair takes a faded blonde color and the spikes get shorter the further down his head they are, the smaller they are.
Eyes: His eyes are a dull silver color. The left eye looks a tad darker, which was the result of an injury long ago.
Skin: His pale skin looks as if all the blood was drained from it. It's a natural condition that causes his body to look the sickly grayish color. However, this is not a hazard to his health.
Scars: A large scar over his left eye.
Clothing: He usually wears a standard blue and black uniform with the crest of his faction in the middle. The clothes are fit to him specifially and have various compartments to store various medical supplies. This suit can easily be altered to fit under other clothing, such as his piloting suit.


~Equipment~
The Miracle's Touch: An ointment of his own creation. Through his experience on the medical field and battlefield, he managed to create this special cream. He is the only known maker of this medicine and it has miraculous healing powers. It can cure non-fatal injuries and immediately heal them after having this substance on it for an hour. This is a much soft after secret that he guards dearly. He carries a 6 oz. container of it with him at all times.

The Last Stand: A handgun that is specifically made for him by a friend of his. It has the ability to use explosive rounds made specifically for that model. He keeps 10 explosive rounds on him in the form of a small box that hangs off his right thigh. It can shoot regular and hollow point bullets as well. It's specifically made so that it can be changed to adjust to the round you use. In other words, as long as it is pistol ammo, this gun can use it.


~Personality~
A rather quiet person, Layton is very thoughtful. He tends to think internally and isn't the best with conversation. This is rather odd considering his passion for medicine. His relationship with his patients are almost non exsistent because of the pain they are usually in. He is a battle medic through and through, often doing intense healing while keeping an eye out for incoming attack. He is a very alert person, often noticing little details. He is not a dominant personality, often keeping to himself in crowds. He is passionate about his work and it shows in the field. He is a fast thinker that does well on his feet, which is why he is revered for his abilities.

He is a great listener, often being able to be quite the advice giver. He can look at things from an apathetic point of view when necessary, as it is required to make the hard calls. He is a loyal person, often dedicating himself to a cause or objective so that he can get it accomplished in a timely fashion. This translates to all forms of work or pleasure. Puncuality is crucial, as it can often mean the loss of life if you hesitate. Layton takes orders well and is liked by most of the people he works with for one reason. His attitude is respect and get respect. He is rather calm through hardship, even to an unusual extent.


~Affinities~
A love of medicine has drove him for most of his life. His will to save as many lives as possible is one to reckon with, and he joy comes out in his work. He likes to be strategic and cunning as well, often showing off his intellect in this way. In most instances, he you'll find him either sleeping or working. He very rarely takes time off from the job he loves so much. He enjoys practicing magic as well, having a unique bond to healing spells. His love of giving and caring shows through the spells, as they are often pleasant to behold. He also likes warm weather and carbonated drinks.


~Distastes~
He can't stand being around people who are pesimistic. He often has a positive outlook on things, which is remarkable considering his field. He hates being around people who are negative for that reason. Ignorance is also something he has a hard time dealing with. He considers everyone smart enough to learn, and those who do not have no one to blame but themselves. It makes him angry if he sees someone who is overly ruthless. He doesn't like cold weather or spicy foods either.


~Phobias~
He has the common fear of failure to an extreme degree. If his mission fails or he loses a patient, he blames himself regardless of the circumstance, which makes him retract into his mind. He is also afraid of having brain damage, which means he puts special protection on his head and mind. He can be a nervous around people of high importance, but it's not a major concern. Lastly, he fears losing his mecha, as he loves it and has a special bond with it.

~Motivations~

Above all else, he wants to become the best medic and doctor in the world. This motivates him more than anything else. He also yearns for power, but not in the cliche way. His idea is not conquest, but the elimination of sickness via the power he gains. He also wants to be needed desperately, so it only drives his other motivations further. He wants to leave a big mark on this word, and only for the betterment of the people that live in it.

Physique: His body is slender but has had muscle built onto it through rigorous training. It is very lithe and focused more into the arms than the legs, not too much unlike that of a boxer.
Hair: Blonde in color, his hair is an uncontrollable mane that reaches down to his shoulders, he usually keeps it tied up in a tail so as to keep a less unkempt appearance.
Eyes: Both of his eyes are blue in color.
Skin: His skin is a very light tan, but is otherwise normal.
Scars: Sabin's body bears no major scars, save for a scar on his lip from a violent fistfight and several smaller healed scars from combat.
Clothing: Sabin tends to wear a very regal wardrobe to major events and has an affinity for loose and flowing pieces of clothing. When training he tends to wear a drastically more casual outfit consisting of sleeveless tops and much more baggy bottoms. When in mech combat he wears his signature suit known as Regalia.

Equipment

Regalia: Sabin's piloting suit that he wears for his Mecha, Zeitgeist. The suit itself is form-fitting and is white in color with blue trim. A very regal golden shoulder cape was added for flourish onto the right shoulder of the suit and it reaches down to just above Sabin's elbow. A headband worn around Sabin's head grants him an augmented reality interface that allows him to better facilitate communication between nearby forces and command as well as any known communication frequencies.

Cavalry Saber: Sabin carries a saber with him that is useful in close quarters combat. A mechanism in the hilt of the weapon causes the blade to make concentrated vibrations in rapid succession, causing it to function as a sort of high frequency blade. At this speed the blade capable of utting a lot of things a blade normally wouldn't be able to cut through. It's lightweight makes it a very fast and functional weapon.

"Paz": Based off of a rather primitive design of weapon, Paz is a custom built revolver that was made as a gift for Sabin by a friend of the family. Pretty much a small railgun, the weapon has a large foldable stock that is used to absorb recoil. While it does not have very good range, it is a deadly weapon at a much more personal distance from the enemy and its report is very intimidating.

Personality (WIP)

Sabin is a man who sticks very firmly to his morals and his code. Despite his regal appearance he is a very sympathetic individual and cares for his fellow man. He is extremely protective of his fellow soldiers and will do everything he can to protect them, but at the same time understands what needs to be done to accomplish the mission. Calculating, he is an able leader and is able to rally men behind him into battle. Charismatic and kind he is easily able to make friends. Despite his reputation as the Prince of War, his heart is gentle, forced to forge itself in the fiery hell of battle and remain stalwart in its purpose. He strongly dislikes the act of killing, but is aware of the necessity of it in the field of war. While he is very good at it, and thoroughly enjoys a fight against a powerful adversary, he does not enjoy killing. The most notable thing of all is Sabin's very strong sense of justice and his rooted moral code, to the point of almost seeming like a "boyscout" to some. Sabin is a charismatic individual and is also quite the diplomat, seeing the pen as much mightier than the sword.

Affinities

Moral Code: Sabin's personal moral code is one that he has developed from his study of philosophy, history, and his own experiences. Sabin looks up to his father as well, who was a very pivotal figure in helping him develop his sense of morality and strength and sees following it as a way of honoring his memory.

Peace: Sabin is extremely capable in the art of fighting and killing, but prefers bloodless victories. He would much sooner accept a surrender than execute his foes. If he can avoid a fight through some form of diplomacy, he would much rather take that option. This can cause him to come to odds with much more aggressive individuals that he keeps company with. On a larger scale, Sabin truly does believe that society has to eventually come to a point where they no longer need the Mecha. He believes that the Mecha and the Spheres are a source of power that some may find too tempting to ignore and the best way to push civilization forward is to do away with them.

Competition: Despite his peaceful nature, Sabin has always enjoyed competition, his favorite game has always been chess and he liked the mental and strategic stimulation involved in it. Sabin sees war as a large scale version of many strategy based games with more on the line than a simple win or a loss. It is because of this that Sabin gets a sort of enjoyment out of the art of strategy and war to an extent.

Distastes

Hypocrisy: Sabin strongly dislikes hypocrites and the act of one going back on their word.

Racism/Discrimination: Sabin understands the grievous wrongs of both humanity and the Immaculates in the past. He understands that the actions that were committed during that time were terrible and should not have happened, but a the same time he does not let this perspective on that affect how he treats today's humans and Immaculates. He thinks that the terrible treatment of Immaculates by other factions is uncivilized and wrong and thinks that order for the world to become a better place, everyone needs to work together and pointless discrimination does nothing but hold civilization back. The sins of the fathers should not weigh down anyone's want to do the right thing.

Phobias

Sabin only has two main fears. One of the greatest things he's afraid of is that his actions could cause the deaths of people that are either under his command or people that he holds dear to him. He is also afraid that everything that he is working towards, all the effort he has put forth to his cause, may make up for nothing in the end, for he realizes that even if he tries his hardest, all it takes is someone who tries harder and scores one good victory to completely change everything. He fears that even if he sacrifices himself that the effort may be in vain. He wants his actions and his life to mean something and doesn't want to think that it could go any other way.

Motivations:

Sabin is motivated by numerous things to fight for the Republic of Djedd. Firstly he seeks to end the worldwide conflict that plagues civilization. He thinks that civilization does not move forward by destroying itself and he wishes to end the current conflict within his lifetime to end needless death and violence. He even wishes to go so far as to remove the Mecha from the world of man, for even though he uses one as a tool to fight against his enemies, he doesn't think they should stay on the field of battle for much longer, for he sees them as dangerous to mankind and Immaculate alike.

Sabin also wishes to help create a peaceful world that his children and the next generations to come can live in without fear of violence or severe conflict. He does not wish for his children to be afraid of their neighboring nations or afraid of a military raid robbing them of friends or family. He does not wish for anyone to live the life that he has come to grow up in and does not want the children of today to become the soldiers of tomorrow to die in the world's wars.

Radiance Ability:

Temporal Manipulation: Zeitgeist gained its name from its ability to temporarily manipulate the flow of time itself in a radial area around it. The exact mechanics of this are unclear as time manipulation is a very confusing and fuzzy concept even now, but it is apparent the area of manipulation is not independent of gravity and still follows the rotation of the planet. The range of all of these abilities is a radius of two miles all around Zeitgeist.

Time Slow: Appearing as High Speed to those observing it within the area of influence, Zeitgeist can slow the flow of time to half that of normal in an area around it and move normally within the slowed time with the help of its unique Engine. This ability can only be sustained for short amounts of time in order to not stress the Engine.

Speed Up Time: Zeitgeist can increase the flow of time to up to 1.50x that of normal in an area. This cannot be used to assist friendly mechas unfortunately as they are not able to perceive time being shifted like the pilot can. Sabin, however, can make high use of this to speed up the processes of his brain in order to better take in his surroundings. He can also use it to shorten the charge of any weapons that have charge-up times, making them extremely lethal weapons or tamper with the timing of enemy weapons such as grenades.

Time Stop: The most stressing ability of temporal manipulation, Zeitgeist can completely stop the flow of time itself. In this state, nothing but Zeitgeist can move, even then Zeitgeist and all of his weaponry can only move for three seconds in the frozen time without compromising the Engine and the frozen time can only be preserved for ten seconds in the Mecha's current state. Objects that leave the weapons attached to Zeitgeist only travel for a fraction of a second outside of the frozen time and move once time has been unfrozen. The frozen time is not perceived by anybody else inside the area of effect and things that transpire during the period of time freeze are perceived as occurring instantly. Anyone outside of the area of effect perceive that everything inside of the area of effect is suspended but everything that happens inside of the area of effect will happen instantly once time is unfrozen by their perception. Sabin can also perceive things outside of the Radiance Effect that are still moving.

Armour

Medium Class: Zeitgeist is a medium class Mecha, able to resist extended light arms fire but the machine is still susceptible to direct hits from heavy arms fire. The limbs of the Mecha are reinforced so as to protect various peripherals. The arms are especially reinforced so that they can withstand extremely large amounts of trauma, so that they can be used as effective blunt instruments.

Weapons

High-Powered Rail Gun: Folded against the right arm is a very large, high yield rail gun that packs enough power to punch a large hole in most light and medium armor Mechas and even has enough power to damage heavy armored Mechas. Unfortunately, due to the more compact nature of the weapon, it can only be loaded with one shot at a time and while the reload process is automatic it takes 30 seconds to reload, relatively long in a firefight. This weapon is useful to ensure a kill in close quarters combat, and is capable of long range sniping with assistance from other peripherals.

Rocket Pods: Installed on the shoulders of the Mecha, these weapons fire high powered rockets with homing capabilities that work based on homing on the energy signatures of M.E. Engines and Mecha Cores. Can also fire manually aimed dummy rockets.

Vulcan Machine Guns: Six Vulcan machine guns serve as the small armaments of Zeitgeist, used more for infantry and vehicular units instead of Mechas. In large quantities of sustained fire or concentrated in weakpoints, these weapons find their use against enemy Mechas, but are not primarily used for them.

Fists of God: While simplistic in design, Zeitgeist is extremely lethal in Mecha hand to hand combat. The reinforced armor on the hands make it able to deliver numerous blows before any systems are compromised. Jet Boosters in the elbows allow punches to be propelled a blinding speeds for massively high damage blows that can be delivered one after another in a flurry of death. Combined with the temporal manipulation abilities, this onslaught of attacks becomes a frighteningly harsh technique known as the Fists of God by those who fight alongside Sabin.

Support Systems

Chronos: This Magic Enhancement Engine is a peculiar piece of technology that is unique to Zeitgeist. This M.E. Engine is unique in that its potency is more reliant on the person who is using it than the average M.E. Engine, where the person relies on the Engine to enhance their abilities. This Engine allows the Mecha and its user to resist their own Time Manipulation effects and move within the Area of Radiance unimpeded. The duration of this freedom is can be dependent on not only on a user's magical potential but can also rely on their own mental will and discipline and draws upon this in order to fully operate. The use of this engine strains the body of the user just as much as it does the engine and because of this the user and Mecha benefits from a very physically fit pilot. It is for this reason that Sabin is constantly found training and disciplining himself, in order to maximize the potential of the Engine. The Mecha was not even close to as deadly when he began piloting it, only able to manipulate time for very short periods of time. Now the Mecha's Radiance abilities can be used for much longer periods of time and Zeitgeist can move through frozen time for three seconds, though Sabin has reason to believe he can extend it even further. Research has been ongoing as to how to improve and upgrade the Engine beyond Sabin's personal efforts, but the unique functionality of the Engine makes it very time consuming to make even small amounts of progress in knowledge.

Jet Propulsion: A giant pack on the back of the Mecha allows its heavier frame to be lifted through the air at high speeds. The pack itself is shaped like a huge coffin and is reinforced so as to not be easily destroyed by small arms. Every jet on the pack has a large range of motion and allows for mobility in almost all directions except directly backwards, which is covered by high power jets on the palms and smaller jets on the sides of the Mecha's torso. Some of the most powerful jets are in the elbows of the Mech, though these are not for motion, but for high speed propulsion of the Mecha's arms for extremely forceful punches.

Advanced Radar/Tracking: Systems within the Mecha allow it to identify and locate all bodies within a certain distance. Input from Sabin also allows him to mark targets for execution later.

Night/Thermal Vision: Allows Sabin to see enemy units during night operations.

Given the high power of the setting and the fact that you seem to have put some thought into balancing the abilities duration and energy costs I say go ahead (Plus I have a soft spot for such things ever since I read Star Dust Crusaders).

If there are any problems we can work on balancing them as they arise.

Ok I'm pretty much done with my character sheet, I have everything down except for pictures and Character History, though I do have everything needed to put the character in play.
