In this world demons do exist. They reside deep in the bowls of the demon realm Gehenna, more commonly known by the humans as Hell. Demons frequently visit the human world, often causing nothing but destruction and chaos. Few people are able to see these creatures, and usually these would be the only humans targeted by the demons. But things are changing. The demons are becoming more dangerous, attacking even those who can't see them. The need for demon hunters is rising, as is the number of people who can see demons. The fate of the entire world has been put into the hands of a group consisting of no more than a few hundred people. How could humanity possibly survive?

------------------

Battler passed under the great arches that lead to the Demon Hunters' Academy. It had three main buildings, one on the right, one on the left, and the biggest one in the middle. There were also supposed to be many underground passages and stuff, but students weren't allowed down there.

The cobbled path leading to the Academy curved to go around a large fountain set directly in front of the main building. Although he'd seen this sight before, it always amazed him. For a moment, he was so absorbed in the sight that he lost focus and one of his arms caught on fire. The red-headed young man suppressed the flames and looked around, embarrassed and hoping no one had noticed.

The second year Hunter made his way into the main building, toward the orientation hall. They had several rows of seats for each year, and every year all the students were expected to attend orientation. It seemed a little silly to him, but he was sure they had their reasons.

Battler took a seat in the second year section, at one of the outside seats. Usually when he let his flames out they didn't burn people... or at least that was the case when he was calm and let them slip. If he was angry... sometimes it was a different story. Just in case, he always chose seats with less crowding.

Slowly, students, teachers, and several other respected professional Hunters filed their way in. Soon, orientation would start.

--------------------

Ijemaru looked up at the Academy and sighed. Been there done that, he thought, but he still forced himself to go inside. He'd thought he was done with these orientations, but apparently, as an Elite Hunter he was supposed to attend. Probably to help "motivate the students". He'd graduated and come so far for him; so he could fight demons. He really didn't care about what went on with the new-bees.

The light-haired Demon Hunter made his way up onto the stage facing the rows of students and sat in one of the many chairs lining the back. Soon there would be several other Professional Demon Hunters filling the other chairs, and Ijemaru was willing to bet that at least some of them didn't want to be there.

Oh well. It had to be done. Ijemaru waited patiently for the orientation to en--er, begin.

--------------------

Black Chaos sat reclined on a tree branch. According to what a lower demon had told him, today was when knew Demon Hunters were starting their training. That demon had had to leave quickly, lest it get a rather unpleasant lightning bold in its skull. Black didn't care one bit what the humans were doing; especially not about fledgling hunters who'd faint at the mere sight of a lower demon. For him to be interrupted over something like that was... unacceptable.

Black enjoyed his moments of peace and quiet and could get very annoyed when they were interrupted. The other demons sensed his presence and usually gave him his space. He thanked fate for creating him as a high-demon. It saved him the trouble of dealing with a lot of lower beings... Or perhaps it created the problem in the first place...

Pushing a her long black hair away from her face, Heather stared up at the Academy and rolled her eyes. Taking one last pull of her cigarette she stomped it out and headed inside. She was told multiple times to not smoke on campus, she just never listened. Later she would have to avoid touching people, if she didn’t they might wind up dead. In a way it made her wonder why she was working at bars in the first place when she ran the risk of killing the customers. Choosing to ignore that fact she opened the doors wide, nodded to her pears and found a place to sit.

She took a seat, reclining in one of the professional Hunter’s seats looking out at the new hunters. It was annoying and she really didn’t want to be there, she had work to get to. Unlike the rest of the hunters there she was in a plan black tank top, bicker gloves, torn jeans, and combat boots. But also unlike most hunters there she worked at a bar. The tattoo on her right shoulder brought some attention to her but she chose to ignore them This time she told her boss she had a personal family problem she had to attend because he had grown tired of her missing work. For someone who owned one of the many bars in town he was as high strung as someone who was a SEO at a large company. Oh well. One arm was behind the chair while the other was resting on her crossed legs. What she wouldn’t give to take a drag of a cigarette right now.

--------------------

Lilith Le Mort sat with her back against a tree trunk arms crossed yawning. This was not what she wanted to be doing, what was with demons now a days? Most of the time she was pretty much left alone but this…sighing she looked up at Black and wondered if he was thinking the same as her. Once she got her hands on that little demon she’d tear him a new one. It was difficult to be near him, he had the same presence as her father and it was aggravating. What she wouldn’t give to go back to the demon world and relax.

Honestly she had no idea why she wasn’t but shook it off as nothing in particular. Playing with one of the beads in her long black hair she stared out at the Academy and the puny humans going in. She had just taken her place under the tree when she had noticed it already taken by Black. Sure she had sensed him beforehand but hadn’t cared enough to go somewhere else. She was hidden from the hunters and she was around someone who was of her own level. What she wouldn’t give to eat someone right now…

There all all types of "hunters" within the world, some just... more hidden than others...

If you would look to the fact a "demon hunter" would be possible would you say it was true? True that that world which most could not imagine was, real? The world is full of strange things, the Demon Hunter is one of them. Two ways are said you can become one; Tainted by a Demon or... borne that way. One is a curse the other is a blessing. One male, like so many others, was a Tainted. A person touched by a Demon through injury. This male was Senshi RÄ«bu. He was a Tainted; one of which who does not know the truth about what he has been given. Two weeks after his attack, he gained powers, he learned them fast. Yet still he was oblivious as to why he had them.

Never did the thought occur he was to be a Demon Hunter, never did he know of it, he was exactly like a new born child.

Senshi was not far from the academy yet never knew it was there; all he knew was the path before him. The path of a loner. No family, no friends, no pets, nothing. He was alone, he wanted to be alone. All he had anymore was the rod and his knife. He sat under a tree, watching the clouds. His knife twirled in his hands as he looked to the sky. The rod was hidden in his pocket, compacted down into a metal ball. Senshi didn't care where he was, as he wanted was quiet.

~:------------------+------------------:~

Blood, the source of life, all by means was not what this creature was named for. Ketsueki wa Bara, a mid level demon, living in the Mortal realm most days to create chaos and to kill. He took pleasure in tormentations as well as took pleasure in killing the innocent. He used to be one, long ago he could have anyway. He was in his Human form, walking the town path. Keeping himself from being known. No weapons, no tail to be seen, his eyes were even partially closed from his chaotic smile. He was used to hiding in the Mortal realm by now, he learned to curl his tail enough that no one noticed, he learned to summon and deteriorate his weapon, he learned but but yet he still had flaws. He was with cat like eyes. Snake eyes. Ketsueki paused, his eyes opened, "Nye Demons... The greater Inhabitants are out..." he then began to divert his way from them.

By now, Battler sat with his arms and legs crossed and his head tilted back, trying to occupy himself by staring at the ceiling. There came the sound of an amplified voice and the red-headed hunter sat up to look at the speaker. It was Gwendel, of course. Gwendel was a rather lanky man with purplish gray hair and fair skin, who always sported a pair of glasses and something like a lab coat. He was something like a vice principal for the academy and was almost always the one to give important speeches, like for orientation. The principal never showed herself, apparently she was too busy. There were scores of rumors flying around about her.

As far as Battler knew, Gwendel was the only one who saw the principal on a regular basis. The whole thing was curious. As for Gwendel himself, he usually wasn't so bad, but he could be really intimidating if you did something wrong. Battler had asked around quite a bit in his previous year, but no one knew what the vice principal's demon fighting ability was.

Battler only half-listened to the vice principal's lecture. He'd heard it before and he didn't see the need to listen to it again. He kept his ears a little bit open though, in case they'd changed something from last year.

----------------

Ijemaru had rested his head on his hand and was about to fall asleep when he heard a familiar voice. Just as he suspected, the Elite hunter opened his eyes to see Gwendel, the vice principal of the Academy giving his yearly speech. He was the one official at the school who still forced Ijemaru to keep his guard up.

He'd never seen this teacher fight or demonstrate his abilities in any way, but he was always so utterly confident. Surely he had to be strong? The Elite hunter thought for a moment, and came to the realization that he'd never asked Gwendel himself what his powers were... Well perhaps after the speeches were done. It might just be interesting enough to make this trip worth something after all.

----------------

Black sighed profusely and lowered himself from his perch, landing lightly on the ground. He gave a glance to Lilith and spoke briefly. "Well there are probably a few stronger ones in there, but it's not like we can go get them. If we took one step on the grounds and alarm would go off and they'd be dumping holy water on us by the gallon. But I'm bored out here so I'm going back. Do whatever you want." He said this in his more apathetic voice, and waved his hand slightly, a black portal opening up just long enough for the demon to step through it and be gone.

Home sweet home, the demon thought, displaying no particular care for the place, but less disdain than he held toward the human world. The demon world had many different regions: mountains, oceans, forests, grasslands, deserts, you name it. In that respect, it was similar to the human realm. Probably the biggest difference (other than the inhabitants) was the lighting of this world. The sun here was a deep amber color. It gave an acceptable amount of heat, and enough light so the world wasn't pitch black. On the other hand, the demon sun put no ill effects towards the demons below it. This world had a mood as well; a blood red one. For most demons, it amplified their powers significantly when the moon was out. The same was true for the moon in the human world, but not to the same extent.

Black had appeared in a forested area, the type of environment he usually took residence in. The demon agilely clambered into a tree, making himself comfortable in one of the branches and enjoying the relative quiet of his territory in the demon world.

((Note: most high-demons set a specific territory for themselves where other demons typically don't enter. It would be like walking into another person's house. The territory extends for as far as the demon's scent reaches.))

Her leg bounced in both boredom and the need for her nicotine fix. Looking around she noted it was time for the speech which she listened with little interest. The vice president was pretty cool for an old guy and though she didn’t know what his power was she found him compelling. Maybe not his speeches for orientation or other events like that but for talking, he was alright then. It was almost like talking to a father figure or a grandfather. Smiling at the thought she yawned once and readjusted her position.

Letting her gaze wonder from face to face she noted that a good majority of those listening were actually intent on paying attention. Amused she studied the faces and then wondered if her bossed had been trying to get a hold of her at all. She made a mental note to check her messages later, then again what would it matter, her phone would most likely be dead by now. Sure there were perks to being electric though ruining a few electronic devises along the way wasn’t part of it. Resuming her fidgety movements she almost slipped her hand in her pocket for a smoke when a warning glance told her not to dare.

------------------
Lilith looked at Black with mild disinterest as he spoke, she knew all of that, and she wasn’t an idiot. As he left she too moved from the tree and made her own way back to the demon world. She smiled pleasantly as she appeared in her garden of lethal plants environment. It was a relief to get out of her human form and back to a more civilized skin. Her red eyes scanned the area as she lightly woke some of her man eating plants and feed them accordingly. This was her bliss and as she made her rounds to each plant she stated to sing. Her voice was like a siren but without the potency of them, for now that was. Maybe later she would have fun.

Every day was the same; no friends, no one to talk to, sitting here... under the tree. He liked it. Though once in a while, on odd weeks he would work at a bar doing maintinence on the metal chairs and table stands. Sometimes the water works but he'd only do it when he needed money, or he'd work fixing other things. It was all he was good for. Though it never helped him that he would get head aches, then he'd pick fights to calm his ache. He never did understand why he had an urge to fight - or the fact fighting sometiems surpressed his headaches. Sometimes the aches got so bad he would leave, come out here and throw his knife aroudn and use the rod as a whip to retrieve it. It kept him, and everyone, safe. Not only did he have headaches, he got a strange blood lust. One of which scared him, he didn't want to hurt anyone, if anything he wanted to hurt the thing that killed his brother years ago and the thing that killed his family recently. Two monsters, one man who wanted them dead.

Standing the male took off his jacket and looked at his arms, the bandages hid the scars that ran up them, the scars of the day he lost everything. Senshi fixed his wrap andwinced, the skin was deformed still. Still fresh wounds in areas. Sighing he rubbed his head and reached into his jacket and pulled out a fist sized metalic ball. He tossed it up and down looking to the jacket he sighed and clenched his fist around the ball. Whirling around he tossed it like a baseball and it crashed into the tree near him. It was embeded into the tree slightly. Senshi growled and put a hand to his head, the head ache was back, not only that but the blood lust was back. He didn't like this, not at all, make it worse he wanted to fight someone. Not just be "idle" and play with his metal. Senshi knew people came this way all the time, and soon more would. Looking to the tree he took his jacket and climbed up, all he had to do was sit in the tree and wait. Though he didn't need to wait long, there was a male running that way towards the building he never seen but knew was there.

The male running took a break a few yards from the tree Senshi was in, he dropped down and shouted. The male looked up and blinked at the sudden appearanced of Senshi. Looking at the new male the student shrugged and was about to walk off when Senshi yelled a taunt at him, he ignored it. It took a bit but Senshi soon just gave up and yelled, "Chicken! Guess your mom told you fighting was for the weak!" that irked the student who turned and faced Senshi, "Fine I'll fight." Senshi chuckled and looked to the metal ball in the tree. Placing his fingers on the ball he moved his hand away and as he did the ball stretched and became a long knife. Gripping the handle he grinend and flicked it to have the blade behind him, "I have a knife... hope you can defend it." he said charging at the student. The student blinked in shock, that was weird. He had never seen a blade form like that. That could mean one thing. Not only that but he was going to be late. Growling the student pulled out a colapsable wooden staff and twirled it. The two began to fight.

Each tiem Senshi hit the wood it seemed to try and eat his metal, with a growl he pulled away and began to form a staff. Snarling he ran at the student and swung to hit him in the head but the staff was countered, "You need to come with me sir! You need to learn to control that!"
"Control what?" Senshi said as he kicked the student in the face before backing up, "Your power, what else would it be?"
"I could think of a few things... still doessn't explain why your weapon tried to eat Metalica!" the student grinned and stuck his staff in the ground before the area rumbled and it sent Senshi into the tree, "I am a Demon Hunter, I control a type of eathen element-"
"No way- Demons are not real!"
"They are. Now come with me or else."
"Else what? Gonna kil me?"
"No."
"Then what!?" the student then grinned, "Force." that was when the ground around Senshi ate him. The student encased Senshi in a circular dirt claud. He was being taken to the Demon Hunter acadamy. When they got there he was left alone. He formed a claw that took over his hand and he began to hack a way out of the wad of dirt. When he broke free enough to see he paled, he was no longer in the clearing and the student was gone. He was at the accadamy.

The student ran to go find someone to help explain to Senshi why he was there.

~:------------------+------------------:~

Walking into the town the demon chuckled, time for hell to be broke loose. He ran to an alley way and got onto a roof. Standing near the edge he summoned his claws and crouched down. Looking around he lifted his hand then began to twirl his hadn about. Grinning he then watched as the air began to get heated, then a wave of invisible noise shot at the street causing it to crack and plode, "Fe hist deso unt rign em no'in llii." he muttered before he moved to a new roof, he began to repeat the process over and over till the road was marked with meaningless designs. but where he was they were images of animals, down there they looked liek funny cracks and holes. All he had to do was play around before the people noticed that he was causing a bit of playful damage. Before long... he'd move to full destruction.

((Hey Night, I hope it's okay for me to take temporary control of your NPC ^_^ ))

Ijemaru caught a movement out of the corner of his eye and turned to see a student, breathing heavily, standing in the doorway. He was looking around, like he really needed to talk to someone, but wasn't willing to interrupt orientation. Well of course, having already graduated and become a professional hunter, it was only natural for him to help out. Besides, he'd do anything to get out of that bore fest.

Casually, the Elite Hunter slipped out of his seat and behind the curtain that was to his back. He made his way to the door and pulled the student out into the hall. "Is something wrong?" Ijemaru asked.

The boy was short of breath, but did his best to respond, "I- I found a tainted.. and I managed to get him here.. But I don't know how to explain to him what's going on."

The light-haired hunter nodded. "Well perhaps I can help with that."

The boy nodded, seemingly relieved. "You.. are graduated, right?" he asked.

It was a reasonable question, the two looked to be near the same age. Ijemaru smirked slightly. "Yes, I've graduated."

"Alright," the boy said. He'd caught his second wind and was leading the Elite Hunter to the aforementioned Tainted. "But I'll warn you, he's not in the best of moods."

----------------

Battler blinked, raising his head off of his hand and looking closely at the stage. I could have sworn all those seats were filled... he thought curiously. Rather soon after that a flame started up on his shoulder and the person next to him scooted away, looking frightened.

"Ah, sorry about that," Battler said quietly, embarrassed. He quickly extinguished the flame.

----------------

Black opened his eyes, suddenly aware that he was getting hungry. While it was true any demon with enough common sense would stay far away from him, there were often several lower-level demons who just weren't smart enough, yet were too cocky to obey their survival instinct. These often became his prey, and indeed, his next meal. Lightly, the demon hopped out of his tree and went off in search of some lunch.

Heather’s eyes followed the white headed Elite Hunter till he stopped in front of another hunter. Well, well, what is this? She wondered tilting her head to the side as she contemplated different aspects as to why they were leaving. Some of them were quite naughty but for the most part it had to be innocent otherwise she couldn’t have seen him go. The flicker of a flame had caught her eye before that and she couldn’t help but feel pity for the most part it was about control. Even she had trouble though it was mainly because of not wanting to use her gifts, despite what the professors said here at the Academy.

Since her days in the Academy, a good majority of hunters knew what her powers were, mainly so they wouldn’t shake her hand on a first meeting. It has been far too long already since she last expelled her energy and if she didn’t head out soon she was afraid of what might happen. Silently she excused herself and headed to the place she knew well to expel what she had to. Her head started to pound as she walked and her vision started to blur. “Not good.” she muttered as she made it to the back of the Academy, but it was closed off for the orientation. “damn.” She said slamming a fist against the door. This wasn’t the first time she had done this, and it wouldn’t be the last, despite her need to expel she would have been perfectly content with letting her body die.

It was a thought that had crossed her mind in the years at the Academy, sometimes she collapsed and those who handled her had to wear special rubber clothing so they wouldn’t get electrocuted to death. Looking around she had to find somewhere else to go before she really started hurting.

-----------------

Lilith sat with her back to the plants and was busy making herself a snack. She wasn’t that hungry, she had eaten before leaving for the human world. Now she was snacking on the one who told her to go there. Now he’s learned his place, she thought as she took a bite.

The dirt ball was crubling under the weight of his upperbody, the male blinked and soon the dirt broke down making him smash into the ground with a wince. Pushing up he growled and pulled a knee under himself and sat up kneeling, "Great... there better be a way out of this crack hole. I'll fight my way out." He gripped the claw and it began to bubbles and melt moving up his arms slightly to encase his wrist and then elongated to become a cone pike.

Closing his eys the pike then shifted and brok off into clawed fingers and he flexed his hand makign the claws move and twist to make them sharper. Looking to the foot long fingers he grinned, "This should help me. Lord help me get out of here... I don't want to be prisoner... or taken from my dwelling in the meadow."

Looking at the claw he realized it looked like Fredie Kreuger's claw. It made him chuckle, not like it was built to kill, it was built to defend himself. The blades on the fingers were dulled out, made to be thin and blunt. He hated hurting people. When he watched all that he knew be taken... he reformed. He wanted to help but there was nothing he could do save for the bar fights he used to subside.

~:------------------+------------------:~

Crouched over the roof the demon stood and chuckled deeply. In his Human figure people could see him, did he care? No he didn't. He used to be so innocent, like they were, careless and unknowing so... so naieve. With a grin he stood and stood on the edge looking down, "Humans... let's see how they will handle a sound tornado." He jumped down and raised his right arm and began to twirl his wrist in circles as he walked. Slowly the air began to hum, then the air around him began to funnle and turn into a bright silvery jade color. Once the noise got loud he walked with his arms at his sides and stepped up walkign to be in the air. He began to run as the thin funnle began to lash out with vines as he pointed at people and whiped then into walls, "Sound barriers... so many uses. If only my family was around to see how I have changed." he then begna to do more before he sudently just had the tornado stop. Ketsueki was on a roof sittign on the ledge, "Humans... cant wait to see a Hunter."

{NPCs are for any to use - :) I dun mind}

The student lead Ijemaru out in front of the main building, where he'd supposedly left the tainted he'd found. They came onto a rather interesting scene. A mound of dirt lay shattered on the ground, and not too far away, a brown-haired individual, probably the tainted, was kneeling. He'd donned some sort of claw-like weapon and was looking around. The boy looked almost wild in that position.

"He doesn't know anything," the Elite asked the student.

The young man shook his head. "He doesn't seem to."

Ijemaru took a long look at the tainted. "I can see why you were having trouble explaining things to him. He doesn't look like he wants to listen." After that comment, the Elite approached the tainted, while still leaving plenty of room between them.

"Well hello there," Ijemaru said. He tilted his head slightly and smiled. "Welcome to the demon hunting academy."

---------------

Two professionals just up and left, Battler thought. I wonder why... he left his thoughts there though. If he went into too much detail, his flames would escape from him again. He could consider the matter later, when there weren't so many people around.

---------------

Black had spread his wings. He was soaring over head, chasing after a lower-level demon. It was running with all its might, but it simply wasn't fast enough. However, by the time he caught up with it, he'd entered into another demon's territory. Taking a bite out of the small demon, Black surveyed all the strange plants around him. He met eyes with the female high-demon in charge of this place and blinked.

"Sorry," he said, vaguely aware that this was the same demon he'd met in the human world. They were this close to each other? "My meal got away from me. I didn't mean to intrude." He turned to walk away.

Your result for The Fantasy RPG Class Test...

The Witch Hunter
15% Strength, 67% Bloodlust, 10% Intelligence, 37% Spirit, 22% Vitality and 13% Agility!

Savage and deadly, the Witch Hunters use their powerful dark magic to defeat their opponents. Masters of killing and torture, the Witch Hunters will seek out other powerful magic users to slay so that they can capture their souls and summon them in battle. These dark undead magicians will blindly serve them and obey their every command! Witch Hunters have also mastered both light and dark magic, which they can use to confuse and mentally torture their foes. Witch Hunters that have strayed to the side of light may be less proficient with their dark magic; however, they can use their mastery over light to heal and create powerful illusions. In fact, these warriors can use their light in ways that no other spellcaster class can. By combining their light with dark magic, they can trap their foes in worlds of illusion where they can torment and torture their foes. Oftentimes, a few moments within the illusion can seem like an eternity, and once an opponent manages to escape from the illusion they are broken and empty shells of their former selves. Controlling enemies and forcing them to do their bidding is no trouble for Witch Hunters.

Congratulations on reaching this high class!

Heather was half walking have stumbling down the halls when she saw a door open. Mustering up her strength she made her way to it, seeing the Elite boy and someone else next to a man kneeling. Her breathing was labored and a hint of recognition passed over her face at the man kneeling. “I know you.” She said in an attempt to keep herself conscious. Her body was covered with perspiration and she felt like collapsing but she leaned heavily on the wooden doorjamb and said, “Anyone care to help an old girl out?” a little electricity sparked here and there as it tried to escape.

--------------------

Lilith’s head turned as Black came into her domain. She had sensed him coming and was curious as to why, at least she had been till she saw he was chasing a lower leveled demon. Raising an eyebrow she watched as he caught up to it and took a bite. “They do that don’t they.” She muttered as she watched her plants do something she’d never see them do before. They gravitated to him and touched his hair, wings and arms. “It seems my plants are interested in you.” She said as he turned to leave but the plants didn’t want him to. “That’s enough, leave him be.” She said her voice changing to mild amusement to dark authority. The plants instantly obeyed and backed off. The only thought she had in their behavior was he was a high-level like her.

This time she took a longer look at him and smirked. She had heard of him, had even seen him from time to time flying around. Though never once had seen been as close to him as she was in the human world. Not that it mattered or she cared.

Looking around his eyes held fear, like an animal, he shook his head and dirt flew from his hair. Hearing footsteps he turned and narrowed his eyes lifting his clawed arm and held it at a strange angle before him, that pesky male who sealed him in dirt was back. He glared deeply at the student before looking to Ijemaru and kept his stance, the welcome he couldn't help but scoff at. Scoff even though he had seen a demon himself a few weeks ago. The one who gave him this cursed gift. Senshi got a bit lower and growled, "Demons are not real. They don't exist!" he then swiped the claw lightly in a back-off manner and went back into his crouched kneel, "I don't know who you are nor why I was brought here but I don't like being mistreated. I just want back in my meadow!" he snarled and stood up, placing a foot behind him. Signalling he wanted to back up.

His eyes then caught sight of the girl, his claw began to itch. Wincing from a throb caused by a head ache he looked to her.  She looked sick, but what was even more interesting was what she murmured. She knew who? Blinking Senshi then realized that the sense he felt was his metal, reacting to her. Why?

His claw then began to melt and flail into a metallic rod as he looked at her. She wanted to be helped but how? That was when he saw the sparks and flares of white and yellow. He  knew exactly what that was. Looking to his rod he ran past Ijemaru and the rod extended into a six foot pole with a pike at the end. Senshi jammed it into the ground, looking at her he backed up after the pole suddenly shot into the ground a foot and looked to her. He grabbed the pole and pulled it, it extended seven more feet as he grunted and grounded it. Wobbling he looked to her and sat down, "T-touch it... It will take that crap out of you an-and put it into the... Ground... I can, feel your... Nerves and electrons... Metalica told me..." he then fell backwards and laid on his back. His head hurt less but he was tired, he was awake but he was wanting sleep now, that pole was twelve feet long. Way past his limit of four feet, "It will help- it's like a lightning rod..." he muttered and put a hand to his head.

Hopefully she would touch it, it would help her immensely. With that he closed his eyes, trying to let the rest work and not sleep.

-:-------------------+-------------------:-

The chaos just wasn't enough, it was pathetic. Sighing the Blood Rose looked upset and began to pace, "You Hunters are pathetic! Curse you! CURSE YOU!" he cried before he began to run and jumped the edge. Walking the edge of the sidewalk he lifted a hand and licked the razors he had on the back of his gloves. He needed to do something, he felt a blood lust, and he wanted blood. With a growl he leaned on the wall and brushed his bangs from his eyes, a little boy passed him but paused. He pointed to Ketsueki, "Mr you have cat eyes!" the demon grinned, "Surgery did that."
"Mr you have claws!"
"Better to scratch with kid." he then showed his tail and grinned, "You have a tail!" the kid ten squealed as Ketsueki grabbed him and ran off. What better way to get attention than a kidnapping?

Heather was almost about to pass out when the one she recognized put up a metal rod. Nodding her understanding she moved toward it and when she was sure they were all far enough let loose the electricity. Sparks flew, gravitating to the poll as it sucked it to the ground. She wasn’t sure how long it lasted but when she was done she collapsed to the ground. Her breathing was heavy and her eyes were closed but she was conscious. A few sparks still surrounded her but not as badly as before, and they like her large electric discharge went to the poll still imbedded in the earth. Opening her eyes she looked to the one that helped her and said, “Thank you.” She smiled as best she could as she raised herself on an elbow while her other hand helped out steady her out.

“You can have your poll back, I do not want you to hurt yourself anymore on my account.” She said shaking her head to ward off the still present headache and fuzziness. It would take a while before she was back to tip top shape. Lifting herself to her knees she looked at her gloves and groaned taking them off one by one. They had melted at her touch, she was sure her phone was fried too. Taking it out of her pocket she threw it to the ground along with her discarded gloves. They had been her favorite bicker gloves. There were little holes here and there in her clothing but she was lucky enough this time to not have them show any part of her body she would have to deck a guy if they looked.

“Remind me to buy you a drink sometime.” She said falling backward once more. So much for her staying on her knees, it was a record though, she hadn’t been able to do that for a while after a purge.

((I got full approval from night for all the details in the post ^^;))

Ijemaru turned his eyes to the sky and let out an aggravated breath. First he was shouted at, then interrupted, then ignored, then the people who did this went and practically passed out. The good mood he'd gained from getting out of the orientation hall was quickly evaporating.

After taking about five minutes to let some of his anger die down, Ijemaru made his way purposefully over to the two collapsed individuals. "You," he said, scowling at the Hunter known as Heather. "As a professional, you should know better than to bottle your powers up for so long." He gave an honest to goodness scowl and said, perhaps a bit crueler than was necessary, "If you don't end up killing yourself that way, I'll eliminate you myself."

He seemed to catch himself after that, his face becoming almost startled for a moment before becoming, still angry, but slightly less... evil. Next he turned to the tainted boy. "And you," he started. "Need to get your ass in gear! Demons don't exist my ass!" At this point he had the boy by his shirt collar and was literally dragging him toward the building on the right.

"I don't give a **** about your meadow," he went on. "And if you feel this is being mistreated then don't ****ing ignore me next time!" Despite the boy's struggling Ijemaru continued to drag him. The white-haired hunter was certainly no pansy, and in the boy's weakened state he could do little to resist.

"I have more authority here than you could imagine," he said, throwing the boy into something like an interrogation room. The white-haired hunter held up a hand and some light blue, slightly glowing... things came out of his fingertips. They shoved the tainted into a chair, then detached from Ijemaru and bound the boy's wrists to the chair handles.

The white-haired hunter moved around the table and sat in a seat facing the boy. He crossed his legs, put one elbow on the chair arm and rested his head on his hand, in the classic "superior" position.

"First," Ijemaru said, still ranting slightly, "Demons are real. Second, the reason you can manipulate metal, or whatever it is you did out there, is because you were attacked and infected by one. Third, this academy exists to train people like you so that they can survive and not injure other humans around them with their powers. Any questions on those first three points?" he asked, almost as a challenge.

-----------------

Black felt the plants grabbing at him until the other demon commanded them to stop. Those things are obedient, but annoying, he thought. "Well," he said, extending his wings for flight. "Later... maybe." And off he went, back into the quietest parts of the forest.

The electricity was potent, he could smell it emitting off of Metalica. His pole. He couldn't rconize her, his head hurt too much now that his powers were being calmed. Her thanks made him smile, "Ah don't mention it." He then moved his hand and touched the pole. A static spark zapped him and his winced before he gripped the pole and it began to shrink. It snaked back to him bu stopped when it was about 4 feet. He glanced to her and grinned, "That would be nice." that was when he heard words and sat up. Narrowing his eyes, though when Ijemaru yelled at him his fists clenched tight.

He was grabbed by the shirt and he snarled and gripped Ijemaru's arm and clenched his hands onto him tightly. He beat the guys arm but his attempts were weakening from fatigue, "I want to go home! Spirits are real not demons!!" He doubted it even though he would never forget the ninetails that murdered his family. He then found himself in a strange room and cried out, " LET ME GO!" He was about to move and tackle Ije when he was moved into a chair and growled, "Ass..." he hissed before pulling and tugging with a wince at the cords.

He could control metal but he had to touch it or have his blood on it to move it. He didn't care who the male was he just was wanting out, "Your right on one point White-fuzz. I was attacked but by some Ninetails. Not like that's a demon! And I can control it just fine!!" he then began a secret search for any kind of metal; nails, screws, bolt, the chair wouldn't work. He needed something. Anything metal to spit blood onto to get out of here.

-:-------------------+-------------------:-

Ketsueki had bound the kid's wrists, blindfolded him, and gagged him before he took off into the dark side of town then vanished into a flaming portal. He came up onto a strange island of dark sands, floating penisives of fire, and a small temple like building. He set the kid down and chuckled as his form reverted, "So... you liked How I looked well... you will help me do my games." The boy squirmed and Ket removed the gag, "I am not going to kill you but I will make you obey. But for now... you are my guest." he smiled he then unbound and made the kid see again. The kid screamed and ran but stopped when he saw the lake, "Welcome to Hell kid. Have a nice stay." he stretched his wings and sat on a chair made of animal bone, "When done, you will go back." the kid sat crying rocking back and forth. Ketsueki was grinning. This would be fun.

Heather’s eye brows went up at the kid’s tone and her fists clenched but before she could snap back he had left. Taking deep breaths she began to steady herself and now that she was released of her excess electricity she was renewed and **** off. Getting up wobbly she tested her legs and then walked around the room just to be sure. The kid was still in the room, at least the one who had come in with that white haired brat. “Go on, we’ll handle it from here.” She said some of her anger being taken out on the poor guy who left in a hurry. Her eyes dilated and she punched a wall in her anger. Pacing she went through a mental picture of the Academy in her head pinpointing the locations they could possibly be and then started after them.

Smirking she heard the one guy yelling to let him go. Walking confidently she swung open the door, grabbed Ijemaru by the back of the collar and half dragged half threw him out of the room, giving the other guy a warning look not to move. “What the hell is your problem?” She said both hands on her hips. “That is no way to treat someone, tainted or no, and don’t give me that I’ll destroy you crap. I know what I’m doing and I would kill for a cigarette right now. So shut the hell up and listen.” She said her voice sounding more like a mother scolding a child that a colleague. Her entire body screamed **** off, and her posture said listen. “Now I’ll say you are lucky, normally after I get rid of the excess I am highly electrified, if it wasn’t for that guy in there you’d be fried, simply by grabbing your collar.” He paused and said, “now we can go ahead and duke it out right here, I don’t care but you had better cool it before you go back in there.”

She stood between him and the door, and yes she knew who he was, she had heard of him. “I heard you are a big deal around here, so far I’m not really seeing it.” she said, at this point, she felt like crap, she wanted a cigarette and she wanted to go to work, not deal with a half crazed hunter. “We can go back in and talk to the already distressed guy and hopefully get him to listen or you can do it your way and just **** him off as much as you have me already. If you do that you can be sure as hell he won’t be coming here again anytime soon.” She was a relaxed tensed; her entire body was ready for a scuffle if it came down to it. She is a bartender; she’s seen her fair share of fights in both the bar, the streets and against demons.

----------

Lilith simply gave a nod and turned back to her dinner. She did however steal a glance as he left. Smirking she walked to her enclosure and took a seat eating what was left of her no longer warm meal. It was annoying when it did that, she might just go hunting a little later for something fresher than this.

Ijemaru had been just about to respond to the boy when he was grabbed by the collar and dragged away. It happened so fast that he didn't really resist, just let out a small yelp when he was grabbed and a slight oof when he was thrown against a wall. As he half-listened to what the hunter was saying, he blew a strand of hair out of his face.

Ijemaru may have been completely **** off a moment ago, but he was still intelligent and wasn't def to reason. "I suppose," he said, standing up, "that you had a few good points in there. Perhaps I can be calm for a moment and see if the boy reacts well to that. But no," he said, putting his hands in his pockets and staring the hunter square in the eyes. "You have no idea what you're doing. The demon toxins are toxic. If you continue on this binge and purge cycle, you will die. Beyond that, you'll have to get used to using your powers. There's a point where demons become to strong to be affected by any man-made weapons, and abilities become your only weapon. But of course, having graduated, you already knew that, didn't you?"

Calmly, and without any sign of his previous anger, Ijemaru made his way back into the room holding the boy. "Sorry about that little interruption," he said, sitting down in a chair. He took the same position as before, but was speaking more calmly. "As for the ninetails, while you're correct, fox spirits are not demons, when a fox has nine tails, it is more commonly referred to as the demon fox. It's still technically a spirit, but at that point it begins to produce demon toxins."

"It's wonderful that you can control your powers," he went on, "but how much do you really know about them? Are you even aware that each hunter gets side effects to go along with their powers? Often times, it's these that threaten to do more damage to one's fellow humans than the powers themselves."

Oh yeah, she knew that. She’s been told that since she was 13 and had found out what tainted meant. As she got older she figured she’d die eventually, might as well do it her own way. The professors here had drilled the facts Ijemaru just told her, they also drilled the fact that with her electricity it might get worse very quickly. Over the past few years since she’s graduated she’s been good at not letting herself get that bad. Today had just gotten the better of her. Leaning heavily against the wall near the door she looked over her shoulder to hear the white haired hunter calm down and actually talk to the guy. That was a relief but she didn’t need a brat, sure he was five years younger, to tell her what she should or should not do with her body.

It was almost like telling her not to smoke. Speaking of…grabbing her pack of cigarettes she marveled at how the still seemed to be alright. Sighing she lifted the pack up, one quick jerking motion, and the grabbed the free cigarette with her lips. She’d had her lighter in the same pocket but that baby was fried. Groaning she looked around, found a candle and light her cigarette with it. Taking a deep, long breath she inhaled the nicotine, calmed her nerves then let it out. Thinking she’s good she walks in and just leans against the wall without saying a word she was happy, relaxed and smoking. What would make the whole thing better was if she were working.

Every constriction against the male's arms and wrists just made the guy irritated even more as he tried to pull and worm but he couldn't figure out what to do. The male had never been in a situation as this before. Watching the white haired male he growled and was soon  relieved and he slumped into the chair, "What a head throb..." he then closed his eyes and leaned his head back, this was enough to give him a head ache. Thankfully the other head ache was gone, with a sigh he listened to arguing and moved his head to stare at the chick's back. In his mind he imagined her laying a total beat-down of him, which made him smirk after a good five minutes though the argument was over and Senshi stiffened. The guy was back. The comment made him chuckle, "Eh it saved me from a fresh head ache."

Senshi listened now that Ijemaru was calmer and snorted, yet he understood. Looking down he said nothing, his head hung low now. The image of the fox was in his mind, "Sideafects I could care less for. If I had them I'd never know. I have always acted strange anyway..." sighing he looked up, "If you say I am some sort of Hunter... Hope you can sure explain this hunter thing... Maybe help me understand what this crap is I can do..." he blinked and looked to the door, "After this I need a nap..."

Alright, it seemed the boy was reacting well to calm. Then he would continue this way. It seemed first he would have to explain just what a hunter was and what they did. "You're certainly a Hunter," Ijemaru said, "but a special kind of Hunter. We're demon hunters, and basically what we do is wipe out any demons causing trouble. We use the abilities we gained from the demons to fight them, and to protect humans. There really aren't very many agreeable demons, so it's best to assume they're all your enemies."

"Over the years, we've come to understand the powers we possess. When a demon attacks a human and doesn't kill them, the human becomes infected by the demon's toxins. Once this happens, the human becomes able to see demons. If the victim is under thirty-five years of age, their body continues to reproduce the toxins introduced to them. Basically, each hunter can use the energy from the living toxins to activate their powers. After this, the toxins die and are expelled from the body."

Ijemaru glanced back to Heather, frowning slightly. They weren't supposed to smoke on campus, but she probably wouldn't get in trouble since she'd already graduated. He turned back to the boy before continuing. "If a Hunter chooses not to use their powers, the living toxins build up inside of them and cause the side effects. Personally, my side effects are headaches and irritability. Involuntary usage of one's ability and chronic pain are also common side effects."

"If I were to simplify all of that: Demons infect you with powers, which you use to kill them. When you go to long without using them, the side effects activate." He took a pause, seeming to become aware that the boy was uncomfortable. "If you promise not to run away, I'll take those off for you," he said, gesturing to the thread-like things tying him to the chair.

You have not mastered any Hidden Power granted by the Genie.
