Asferdia Ciiza Spica, it's pure whiteness shimmering in the early summer sun. The insects that summer brings buzzing and fluttering freely around the buildings. The bright flowers dancing in the light breeze as it gently brushes past thee bustling life of the city. A place where Aifa didn't like to go. The noise often got to her even there Oakarus with her the noise often gave her headaches. Instead of the noisy city center Aifa preferred to stay in Oakarus's mansion. A large white building with four floors and a seemingly endless amount of windows. It's entrance was decorated with bright red and blue flowers all along the walkways with a large and old fountain just outside of the entrance to the palace like mansion.
The back garden was a different story. A large open space that seemed to go on for ever just as wide as the Mansion itself but was twice as long as the main house. Aifa loved the garden of the mansion it was always quiet there she would often play with Oakarus or a poor unsuspecting member of his staff, or even a butterfly or two she found fluttering in the wind. She had been like that ever since Oakarus found her. Broken, you could say. The body of an adult, but the mentality of a child, it was like the torture they put her through sent her mind back in time to when she was happiest. Because of that Oakarus felt he had to protect her even more, to him it was of no matter. She was talking more than she used to but still never spoke of what they did, in fact she never spoke of her life as a human.
Though Oakarus worried over her, he know the she would be alright. The people that worked under him were very loyal to the family and have helped keep Aifa safe. Many Malachai hated the fact there was a human among them, they didn't care whether she had been broken by them or not. To them a human is a human. But since she was Oakarus's "pet", as same called her, no one dared confront the issue. His anger is something no one wishes to incur.
It's been three years since Aifa had started living with Oakarus and Oriel at the mansion. She discovered she knew how to paint and how to play the piano. The Malachai had a similar instrument and Oakarus gave her one as a present one day. ever since she never put it down. It's soothing music can be heard throughout the entire house. And today was no different. Oakarus was getting ready to leave for the white palace taking extra time just to hear the melody floating through the house.
But that feeling was short felt when the music came to a rather abrupt stop. Worried for Aifa he bolted for the music room on the first floor running as fast as he could. When got there Aifa looked scared and ran to him. A gaze was enough to show how angry he was. His eyes locked on the soldiers that had entered his house.
"what are you here?" he asked through slightly gritted teeth, His eyes never leaving them.
"Sir" one of them spoke with a dissatisfied tone, "the Princess wishes to see you, she's calling the other swords as well" the soldier glanced at Aifa who quickly over shadowed by his cloak as it wrapped around her, Revealing his large sword.
"Very well, now leave your done here" still through gritted teeth and his gaze never letting off the soldiers he watched as they left before letting out a relaxing sigh.
"Aifa they're gone now, it's okay now" he held her close to him under his cloak to re-assure her that he was there.
"but you have to go soon, don't you?" she said shakily. Aifa hated it when Oakarus had to leave for any reason. she hated it more when it was to do with the princess. She understood he had duties to do, but the soldiers there always treated her with hostilities when she was sent there three years ago, before Oakarus was able to get the princesses permission to take her home.
Oakarus stroked her hair gently and gently whispered in her ear " no matter where i am, if you call me i will come I promise. I will not betray you" those words alone were enough to ease Aifa's pain. She slowly let him go and hid her face slightly as it almost glowed red with embarrassment. She loved hearing that one little phrase from 'I will not betray you' it always made her feel so happy inside.
After seeing him off she went back into the house and started to play again. The music could still be heard as Oakarus walked to wards the main gate of his house. With a slight smile he carried on towards the white palace.
