Name: Antony Bartholomew/Captain Anthony

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Rank: Captain

Appearance:

Image

Antony has green eyes and brown hair with blond bangs. On his chin is a small tuft of facial hair, and his ears are pierced. He wears a green longcoat with the inner parts being red. A leather belt holding three throwing knives is strapped across his torso, his coat is always open to reveal a wrinkled white undershirt and a necklace of shark teeth.

He wears brown pants and a pair of black boots with a clasp, he has a duo of flintlock pistols strapped to one hip and a leather strap holds his cutlass in a scabbard behind his back. He has a gold dagger sheathed and hidden within his coat's lining, a trophy from the captain of a navy vessel where he was held as a cabin boy.

Ship description: Poseidon's Scream

Image

Character History:

Antony was once a pitiful cabin boy of sixteen on a Navy vessel called the Challenger. Having pirate lineage, he was treated horribly by the sailors and his family mocked as disgusting reprobates. Given that the ship's cook had recently contracted some illness and died...the chef duties fell to the young teenager. Much to the crew and captain's surprise....the boy knew how to cook quite well.

One day he was caught sneaking food out of the kitchens, when caught it was discovered he had adopted a rat as a pet and had been feeding it, naming it Henry. Disgusted, the crew made the poor boy watch as they brutally killed the rat by stomping on it repeatedly.

It was then that Antony decided he'd had enough, and that night put an odorless and lethal poison into the crew's food. Unfortunately, the captain dined in his cabin...so he'd have to hope they didn't make any noise in their death throes.

Once the deed was done, the cabin boy went up to the captain's quarters with the last bowl.

But he tripped and dropped the bowl, causing it to shatter all over the deck and ruin it's contents!

He was panicked but not deterred, he was in too deep now anyway....Sneaking ever so quietly up to the captain's cabin, he found to his surprise that the cruel leader of his tormentors was laying on the bed...snoring! A pistol lay secured in a belt nearby, taking it out and placing a pillow over his lead tormentor's face..he fired a single shot through the pillow.

He took all the riches he could carry into sacks and a particularly nice golden dagger out of the captain's quarters. Deciding if anyone came across the vessel and found everyone dead but the cabin boy...it would prove disastrous, he lowered a lifeboat into the sea and detonated the explosive barrels before jumping just in time!

Several days and endless rowing later, he found he was starving! He'd ran out of food some time ago....that was when he saw the shark.

It was dipping it's top fin out of the water, thankfully this boat was normally used for whaling....and came equipped with a harpoon cannon.

He fired..he missed.

He fired again...and missed again.

Deciding to try one last time with a harpoon attached to a rope...he fired...and hit the shark!

He grabbed his end of the rope and was nearly pulled out into the water..that would be bad. He felt his hands burning from the rope sliding through them and he gripped it tighter...praying the harpoon wouldn't come out and let the shark get away.

The shark swam close enough and he buried a large sword into it's flesh.

The shark went limp and he began to carve away.

Shark meat and shark fins especially were not only said to be good meat but also went for quite the price on the market. He would just hope he would find land soon to sell them.

He dug the shark's teeth out of it's mouth with the knife as well....it wasn't everyday someone could prove they killed a shark!

He let the rest of the shark sink to the bottom of the ocean and cut the harpoon line. It was then with disgust he realized he'd have to eat the meat raw.

He managed to choke down bloody mouthfuls of shark meat and the next day miraculously ended up in Tortuga.

With all the riches he had stolen along with the shark fins and meat..he made a fortune enough to purchase a ship and enlist a crew....who were quite skeptical of his abilities given that he was so young...but nonetheless...he had to be pretty tough and resilient to take down a shark and an entire navy crew!

Name: Alexandre Louie

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Rank: Navigator

Appearance: | +
Image

Ginger head, blue eyes, and beautiful pale skin after her mother. She tends to always carry a sword around her waist and a pistol on the other hip. The eye patch she owns is only for show, and she only wears it when she's doing improv and impersonations with her crew (she's the funny one).

She looks pretty much exactly like the image but generally without the eye patch.

Ship description: I'll be on JD's ship!

Character History: Born in a port town similar to that of Tortuga, Alex had seen her fair share of pirates and destruction. Her mother was a prostitute who became pregnant with Alex on the job. No idea her father is, she gained a lot of similar traits from her mother. Ginger hair. Blue eyes. But the fierce demeanor and kick ass skills were most likely from her unknown bastard of a father.

Being constantly surrounded by danger Alex quickly learned how to defend herself. At one point, however, she was out numbered by a few nasty scoundrels and a lone captain snapped them in their places before any danger could come upon her. He ended up taking her under his wing, taking her from her absent mother (though it was claimed as kidnapping 4 weeks later), and placing her on his ship under her protection. The crew treated her like a little female kid at times but after punching the First Mate in the face and giving him a black eye she began to earn their respect. They showed her how to handle a ship and when she had a knack for navigating they gave her the position.

One night her crew was attacked by Navy, ambushed in the middle of the night. The captain, first mate, and many more of the crew did not survive and the ship sunk.

Alex and a few of her crewmen that did not drown were able to flee on a lifeboat and then bounced around from ship to ship. She was able to get to Tortuga where she found and joined her new crew.

Miscellaneous details and quirks (optional): I may be adding more to her history later once I talk to JD about an idea and if that's where she meets the crew. She also does not hide her gender. She flaunts it almost to try and get into fights with other mates so she can beat their asses.

There we go! Let me know if anything needs to be changed/added!

-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-

Name: Natalie Rachel Kippering/Nat Kipling/Commodore or Captain Kipling

Age: 25

Gender: Female -- poses as Male

Rank: Commodore

Appearance:
| +
Image

Ship Description:
HMS Deviance | +
Image

Character History:
Natalie was the only daughter of one of the Royal Navy's captains. This resulted in him not being home very often or for very long, leaving Natalie with two brothers and their mother.

When she was old enough to pick up and actually hold a sword, Natalie began dreaming of what it would be like to be in the Navy like her father. She had heard stories of his journeys at sea, and from where their house was, she had the perfect view of the bay. It was watching the ships come and go, and the busy docks that set her mind. When Natalie informed her brothers of her dreams, they merely laughed, telling her what she already knew. Women were not allowed in the Navy, or even near the docks for that matter -- they were too "unladylike" and dirty. However, they humoured their little sister, knowing she would never leave them alone any other way. Secretly they would teach her the basics of swordplay and using a firearm, as well as mock playing as the various officers on a ship.

As the three grew older, the two brothers grew tired of pretending with their sister and moved on to training of their own in their own areas of interest. This left Natalie to find her own way to get on a ship as soon as she was old enough to be something as lowly as a cabin boy. However, it was also around this time that her mother insisted she began acting the part of a young lady. Through all her training to be a perfect young lady, and one day an equally perfect wife of some upper class gentleman, Natalie never lost her sight on the sea.

It was when news came that their father had been killed in action that any chance of reaching this dream came. As the first few days of mourning pasted, Natalie did everything she was expected to do while keeping her own agenda hidden. When her mother was occupied with a group of others for tea, Natalie set to work. Digging out a set of her brother's old clothing, tying her hair back from her face, and using a little soot from the fireplace, she felt she could pass as a young man as long as no one was given suspicion to believe other wise. Exiting through one of the servants entrances, Natalie took on of the swords and hung it at her side, making her way to the docks.

She had been their before with her brothers, never for very long, but she knew the general layout. Approaching what she hoped was recruitment, she quickly rehearsed what she intended to say, she only had one chance at this. It was easy enough convincing the men that she was a relative of the late captain, what wasn't easy was explaining where she had been all this time. Using locations and other pieces of her father's old stories, Natalie spun together some tale of how she had been raised elsewhere and upon hearing the news of Captain Kippering's passing, had come to be with his family. Thankfully, she wasn't pressed to much further, the Royal Navy was low on recruits with the recent activity with pirates and other such riffraff. Told to return in three months, Natalie had to control her excitement to not risk losing what she had just succeeded in doing.

Those three months brought with them both a blessing and a curse. Within the first month and a half, pirate raids had increased in the area and it wasn't long before the attacks hit home. Woken in the middle of the night by the sounds of breaking class and screaming, Natalie had just enough time to hide herself away before the dirty pirates broke in. It felt like hours before they were either beaten back or left. It was discovered that her mother had either been killed or kidnapped, and both brothers were missing. Mourning her family, Natalie, once more in her disguise left the destroyed house. She was lucky and given a position in the navy early.

It was assumed that Natalie Kippering was either kidnapped, or dead. From that point, she was Nat Kipling, and soon gained respect on each ship she worked on for her hard work. This got her promoted quickly to captain, helped she thought to her early training with her brothers, and her father's stories. When the next wave of pirate raids, Captain Nat was given the position of Commodore and put in charge of a fleet against the scoundrels.

Miscellaneous Details and Quirks:
- Natalie has gone to great lengths to hide her gender from her crew. Some newer recruits have often commented on some of what she does, but those who have been with Captain Nat longer have grown use to it, and simply say, "That's Cap't Kipling for you".

Name: Captain Martin Moreau/Cap'n Moreau(french pronunciation is used[Mar-teh More-oh])

Age: 34

Gender: Male

Rank: Captain

Appearance:Image

Ship description: Neptune's Guile
Image

Character History: Martin always dreamt of the sea as a lad, and on the first chance he got he snuck aboard a ship when it was docked. The problem was it was a pirate vessel, and he was quickly found. the pirates were going to have him walk the plank until the current captain stopped them, feeling that if the boy wanted to be a seafaring lad, better one more crew member than another Navy officer after them. Martin was grateful, and learned quickly, applying himself. Some time later after Martin had made it to First Mate, during a naval battle, he grabbed a sword and flintlock and took out the helmsman of the navy ship. Seeing as the ship could no longer escape, his adopted crew was able to raid and sink the other ship quite a lot quicker. Martin, however, did not leave the battle without casualties. Their beloved captain found dead, the crew was devastated and it was once again that Martin found himself blamed by the crew. Before it could be debated on his death sentence, Martin said that if he truly deserved to die, they all did as well, for was it not teamwork that made a ship float? Besides, they could leave the ship at the next port in Tortuga, but he could not, having no other home than the sea.

The sailors all agreed that they would part ways at Tortuga, or those wishing to stay with him could and would be allowed to stay on as Martin's crew. But before they could leave there they needed a new navigator...

Miscellaneous details and quirks (optional): Martin is a pirate first and a French native second sometimes mixing French with English during stressful situations or exciting battles

Name: Matthew E. Henderson
(Alias: Captain Robert E. Grimm )

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Rank: Captain

Appearance:

High: 5'8
Weight: 185 pounds
Hair: Dirty Blond
Eye Color: Hazel

Matthew and his crew are the 1700's equivalent of special forces. He and his crew do not dress in traditional Royal Navy Attire. As shown below for a proper british officer at the time. Instead he himself dresses in a darker petty coat, and for the most part would appear to look more like a pirate. Then a loyalist to the crown of merry old England. This too goes for his crew, due to the secrecy of his mission.

Image

Ship description :

Image

The HMS Sea-Witch

A 3rd rate Destroyer commissioned by special request of the crown. This 80 gun ship was designed for one purpose, and one purpose alone. The eradication of the filth known as piracy. Large enough to hold it's own, but quick enough to keep up the chase. Equipped with an on board motor crew, and enough hands to man all 80 guns. Though she is by all means a traditional British warship. She flies not one single color of home. In fact due to the specificity of her mission. The Sea-Witch is equipped with a Jolly Rodger, and other little toys within the belly of her hull.

Character History:

Matthew E. Henderson was born on April 4th, 1685. To a Charles R. Henderson and his wife Marry Henderson. His parents, decent, hardworking folk. Raised their child the best they could. His father, a blacksmith. His mother, a chambermaid for a local Nobel. As they worked, and stored money away for their son's future. Matthew only had one thought in his mind. To sail the seven seas, and see the world. Though, his father would always dismiss such notions. " No son of mine shall concern himself of such ridiculous notions. You are to attend school.Learn to read, and write. Become a successful banker, or man of worth. Then one day. You will merry, and plant your seed. I did not toil in front of a hot forge all my life. Just for you to throw it away."

So it was. Matthew did indeed attend a proper schooling. Where he learned to read and write, and even picked up a few languages. Though to his father disdain, at the age of 16, young Matthew had been recruited into her Majesty's Royal Navy as a cabin boy. "Father. I promise I will be home by the time I am old enough to grow a full face of hair!" He said as he had boarded the gangplank. "You keep that promise lad." His father said as he patted his son's shoulders. His mother cried. "Be sure to send letters when you can!" Matthew kissed his mother's cheek, and took one last glance towards the ship. He then nodded to both his parents, and climbed the gangplank. Sadly it would be several years until he met his parents again. He a promising officer in service to the Queen's Royal Naval. His father and mother both had passed due to health complications. None the less, he kept his promise, and had kept with him letters to his parents. To always remind him of his home.

At the age of 24, Matthew had finally became a Captain. With the title he was honored with two privileges. Due to his outstanding service to the crown. He had been awarded with his own ship, and crew. The H.M.S Sea-Witch. An elite vessel, designed for covert operations against a horrid plague to the civilized world. Pirates. Matthew accepted the honor, and with it. For the next two years. He and his crew of royal marines, multi talented crewmen, and those they recruited to their cause. Sailed the sea under the cover of being pirates themselves. Plundering, marauding, taking what they want, and most of all. Gathering intelligence on those who swore their swords to the life of piracy. Only a select few know Matthew for who he really is. For the rest of the world. He is just another wretched soul.

Miscellaneous details and quirks :

Robert has been known to carry a Spanish guitar with him on long journeys. On calm days, he is also known to enjoy strumming it to classic sea shanties.

(This helped me create this idea. This cover rocks)

Edward Teach 1680-1718

Bartholomew Roberts 1682-1722

Anne bonny 1698-1782

(More names will be added as I do more research into some of the myths and legends. We can simply put that there is a collection of Pirates. Named and not named who made this deal. This is just what i simply wrote up this morning, but wanted to send you a rough. Written idea. )

When a Pirate's time has come. He or she knows one thing to be certain in this life. That in the end. The mark they leave on this earth. Truly is worth more then any silver coin, or gold doubloons in their possession. Aye, indeed it be true. No treasure. No ship. No crew. Not even a wench. Is worth more to a pirate then their legend. Men like William Teach, better known to the world as Black Beard. Knew this very well. He forged himself a legend that no man or woman could ever destroy. Bartholomew Roberts also knew this. Old "Black" Bart Roberts once quoted. A "Short and Merry life." With that short life he left in his wake. A trail of horror and bloodshed. Anne Bonny prided herself on being one of the few women who took a man's world by force, and doing so. Carved a spot in the book of piracy.

Yet my dear friends I ask you this. Their legacy's. Their stories. What if there were unseen elements. Something obscure that centered it's self within the realm of piracy. A power older then any known language, or written word. A power which no name can be given. Yet very much real in our world. What if our legends of piracy made a deal with this power. A decade of plundering, and wealth. In exchange for offerings of flesh, and their very being. Could such a force truly exist? Is it the ramblings of drunken vagabonds. After all. These are merely legends...aren't they?

(( The short and sweet description.))

All the big names of piracy. From Blackbeard, all the way down. Made a deal with an ancient, and possible supernatural power. The deal. To rule the seven seas as unstoppable gods among men. Fortune and fame, and so much more to be theirs. In return though. They would lose what ever was left of their humanity to this force which now they served. Also that, and they were unaware to the power that was being unleashed upon our world.
