Around eighty years before the events of RWBY, what was then known as the Kingdom of Mantle and the other three kingdoms – Vacuo, Vale and Mistral – were engaged in a Great War against one another. After years of bloodshed, the four kingdoms signed a truce on the island of Vytal. The end of the Great War led to a period of peace for all four kingdoms. The newfound peace was celebrated with the Vytal Festival, a biennial event where the people of Remnant gather to celebrate their unity and diversity.
The month before the Vytal Festival is were our story begins!

It was hard for her to get on her feet after the death of her parents and little brother and the devastation, but she did. She left her brother's body at the wreckage because he was not breathing, it pained her to leave him but she had too if she wanted to survive. At the age of 11 she lived on the streets of the city of Vale. She was poor, young, and starving to death. She resulted in stealing from unsuspecting people who passed her on the streets. She stole everything from their valuables, money, and sometimes even food. One day, a man found Rose on the streets and decided to take her in, clean her up, and adopt her. Rose was then placed in Beacon Academy when her caretaker found out that she was a very good inventor. She built Destiny all by herself, and uses her all the time. She is now a mentor to a boy named Drake, that looks oddly just like her, but she does not believe that her brother could have possibly survived death.

So most people assume he has blue eyes. Hair: Black with indigo, messy. Height: 5'10” Weight: 147lbs Body Type: Lithe and lissome Relationship Status: Single Friends: (If you're from Haven or went to signal we might know each other!) School: Haven (first year) Attire: General: Black t-shirt with his crest off-center in gold, Plaid shirt that matches his hair that he usually wears with the sleeves rolled up or around his waist, grey scarf. Ripped grey denim jeans and black combat boots with an indigo bandanna tied around the top of the left one. Other: "Burn Bright" tattooed on collarbone. Both ears pierced with dust studs. Knowledge in making Dust-matches. Weapon: Scintilla Evanescent: A swordstaff that can separate into twin swords that are also shotguns or change one end into a gun to be a high velocity throwing spear. While in melee mode the weapon can be "fired" to add momentum to attacks. Fighting Style: Takes advantage of Indigo's high agility and acrobatic ability to position himself and evade atacks. Semblance: Incandescence- Indigo can "burn" or consume his aura to give himself a temporary, yet massive boost to his strength and agility. This ability can be further augmented using dust, although he's only had success with red, orange, white, and violet dust. It's only through practice that he will be able to use his semblance more eficiently. No matter what this ability poses significant risks to it's user's safety. History: Wouldn't you like to know? But be warned you must be at least a level 4 friend to unlock his tragic backstory. He is a member of team Vani, also consisting of Azure Bell, Nero Telford, and their leader Vance Alva. Personality: Loyal, Occasionally goofy, weapon nerd. He isn't always great at knowing how to act around new people but he is naturally adventurous and outgoing. He is an extrovert. A frontline fighter, he will always put himself in front his friends and can be very reckless in combat, which offsets his natural combat prowess. He is a bit of a romantic, but doesn't try to hard. Despite his usual outgoing demeanor he isn't likely to confess to a crush when he develops one. Indigo criticizes and pushes himself far more than he does others and is somewhat reluctant to ask for help. Being a Huntsman is his goal to the point he can't see himself doing any other job than being like his adoptive mother and protecting the people of the Kingdoms who can't protect themselves. He later recieved training from his Hunter father when he got older. His main reason for becoming a Hunter is to discover a way to stop Grimm from disappearing after death, and then make hats out of them, as well as putting a smile on everyone's faces. Lol another character based on the Mad Hatter. I like him, I have a Hatter as one of the professors at Haven. His name's Tam O'Shanter. Actually the major professor OC's I have set up for Haven have an Alice in wonderland theme. Since I couldn't find any canon references to their identities I made them up lol.
