.
Name: Casfina
Age: 25
Race: Nord/Bosmer
Appearance: She has light brown skin with poofy, curly hair of the same color that she usually keeps braided, and bright blue eyes. Since her mother was a Nord, her facial features are more human, but her body more lithe like that of a Bosmer, which aides in being unseen. She is shorter than most female Nords, and is closer in height to a male Bosmer.
Personality: She can often appear uncaring, and most of the time she is, though even when she is affected by something, her face remains neutral so as to not give away her true feelings. Despite this, she is actually pretty in tune to others' emotions, and can usually guess what another is feeling. She has a sort of dry black humor that can come across as insensitive, and her deadpan sarcasm often goes over others' heads. She is reasonably intelligent and has a keen eyes when it comes to her surroundings. She sees killing as a means to an end, and to her most other people are a walking bag of meat that can disposed of if necessary. Even though she is good at it, she doesn't actually want to be a cold, unfeeling killer, she just doesn't know how to be any other way.
History: She was born in Elsweyr to a Bosmer father and a Nord mother. Her father was a mercenary, and her mother was Svargreir Windrime, a scholar and famous author on the cultures of various lands and races. Because of her parents' occupations, they never stayed in one place for too long, which granted her the opportunity to visit every country in Tamriel. She met a lot of interesting people and experienced a variety of ways to look at the world. She had a rather happy childhood, at least she always considered it so. Everything changed when she was fifteen. Her and her parents were in Stros M'kai, her father looking for work and her mother researching the Yokudan culture, when a Redguard pirate captain took a liking to Casfina. When she refused him, he killed her parents and took her prisoner on his ship. He kept her for three years, during which that time she gained the crew's trust enough for her to become an official crewmate. They trained her to be stealthy, and how to fight with daggers, all the while she was plotting her revenge.
She got her chance one night when they were all passed out drunk after a raid near the East Empire Trading Company in Solitude. She quietly darted around the ship slitting the throats of every crewmember, including the captain. With nowhere to go, she wondered Solitude for a few weeks, begging and scavenging for food. Luckily, she eventually ran into Ma'dran on the outskirts of the city, who was an old friend from her travels. Since she had limited options, he sent her on a carriage to Riften, where he hoped she could make living in the Thieves Guild. When she got there, they let her in because of her obvious talent in being sneaky, and set about training her to be a master thief. She was reasonably skilled, but after her time spent with the pirates she had trouble stealing without killing, causing her to be kicked out of the guild after only a year.
Because of this bad habit, however, she was contacted by the Dark Brotherhood. It seemed a natural fit, so she joined and soon became a master. As years went by, she was always a professional assassin, and tried to make friends with her brothers and sisters, even though Babette taught her Alchemy, so she still got contracts but was largely ignored by the others. Even though she seemed like she found the perfect fit, she was unhappy because she didn't feel like it was what she was supposed to be doing.
Quirks: She inherited a curiosity of the world from her scholar mother, and which has turned her into quite the bookworm. She hoards any books she can find, and has built quite a library in the Sanctuary. She was also taught how to play the lute by a bard when she was young, so whenever she needs to go undercover, its usually as a bard. She rarely does this, however, because of her lack of mirth and willingness to sing.
Goals: Her goal is really to have a goal. She doesn't know what she wants out of life and feels stuck.
Skills: Being an assassin, she is a master of shadows, and her ability to remain quiet unseen can be considered an art-form. Her weapon of choice is double daggers coated in poison that she made herself. She is relatively good at lockpicking and pickpocketing, but is by no means a master. She doesn't know any spells because she was never inclined towards magic, and she doesn't have any skills when it comes to armor or ranged weapons because her strategy is to slit the targets throat without them ever knowing she was there.
