So, if it's going to be Modern Era, I think we need Industry and Energy points for production. Also Resources. As long as it's going to be make up countries, we will have chance to make different things and balance the game.

I also suggest that, if we going to start at 2005, we should make fast-play for past 10 years so there can be historical conflicts, may be war, developped diplomatic and economic and military relations, may be a pact, and may be we can have a superpower.

Agreed. So, we need to make a list about important ones. Then, like you said, if you make up your nation at Europe, we can know which resources you have.

So, we need to make another list for what resource gonna use for what. We already know it like you said, but for in-game use we can't use everything. Like Metals for Industry, Coal for Energy etc.

Then, we already know military things and we can need some help but I think we know main point.

Industry, Powerplants, Airbases, Docks, Air-Defense systems, and other important buildings will need resources and money.

I say we can start at 2015, and we can play 2000-2015 with fast turns so like I said we can develop something from past.

We need really good economic system for this game.

Another thing, how we gonna create nations? Let's create a Nation Sheet for it. I'm gonna start:

For money, why not have a '1' represent maybe 1 billion? Since I hardly believe a country would have literally 1 unit of it's currency lying around in the treasury.


And we have a dice mod on site. Just how many dice though, and how many sides to the dice?

I think that livestock should be used to represent the various animals that we may have. It saves all that cluttering.
Precious metals and gems however, should be listed, due to their obviously higher price.

There can be levels for them, every level will give bonus. If you want to improve one kind of technology, you need to spend XX amount $ for XX turns, then you can have it.

Focus, so if we get in economic crisis, we gotta need to make "Focus" on Economics, right?

What we have?

Main:

Game will be in modern era, on planet Earth with made-up countries. There will be region limit to select of course, but it won't make sense to let everyone have same amount of region or same amount of land. We need something to decide it. Empty areas will be filled with real world countries, with changes. Game will start at year 2015, there will be at least 25 years Fast/Play starts from 1990. It means we will have historical background for our countries, there will be conflicts, we will have superpowers, we will have pre-wars, lost lands may be, economic crisis, diplomatic relationships etc. This Past-Play can start at before too, like we play 40 years, starts at 1970. This depends on us. Main game will start at 2015.

Game will be mostly based on Economy-Intel-Diplomacy-Politics-Military like real world. But we are looking for a good and not too complicated economic system for game. Which will be very important part, we should have economic crisis in game.

Basic Economic System:

Actually I have really simple idea. Without any technology or other affects:

Factory number=Industry Capacity. So if you have 100 factories, you have 100 industrial capacity. Every factory will need resources and energy to keep working. So more production, more money. You can use industry to produce military things too, or make construction. In those turns, you also gonna need spend extra money.

NOTE: Like I said before, we can erase all of these things. These are just my suggestion ideas.

I like the idea of using dice to determine quantity, but not quality. If you get a botched roll, then effectively you can be stunted for the entire game. Which nobody will ever want. I think that quality should be based on how developed the country is in terms of technology and literacy rate.

Quantity could also be effected by having a large population, example:
X nation has 140 Million people in it
Y nation has only 30 Million it in

Logically, X nation would be able to press more people into a uniform and into armies.

Plus government type could help or hinder. I imagine some more warlike governments being particularly fierce compared to some.
