Busier than normal for this two weeks.

Anyhow, some info on FLeshpeckers

Fleshpeckers are exceedingly territorial birds, a mutation caused by the calamity. After their hatchling stage, their beaks start to take a similar composition to metal. The larger, alpha ones have the edges of their wings turn to metal too. They are only most active at daybreak an in the evening. Their diet consists of meat, from which they pluck when a mass of them descend on a single prey. (Kinda like air piranhas made of steel) They prefer hotter temperatures and humid climates. They are most common on the lower islands.

My computer died a few days ago, and I'm having some trouble fixing it. I was hoping to have it fixed by the time my post came up again but obviously that hasn't been the case. While I can technically post from my tablet, it's terribly slow going and muse ruining. Just a heads up that my post may take a bit longer and be of lower quality than usual this time.

Name: Mildred Greon
Gender: Female
Age: 26 years old

Appearance: Light tan/peachy skin tone. Bright blue eyes. Hair is a dark brown that almost boarders on a black shade and is cut in a boy style hair cut where the ends just barely brush past the tips of her ears/tips of her eyebrows. It is straight which makes it that much easier for her to manage. She wears pants that look a bit worn and are frayed at the heels, steel toed shoes and big, airy shirts. A leather jacket is often shrugged over her shoulders and she takes good care of it as shown by how patched up it is. She wears a thigh pack, a backpack, four bracelets (two on each wrist, one silver and the other is iron). She has a silver and copper choker around her neck. A pair of goggles can be found pushed up on her forehead and they double as glasses should she need them. She wears various simple gemstone rings on her fingers. Mainly quartz of some kind, turquoise, tiger's eye, jade and amethyst. A keyring is clipped through her belt with her current house keys, her bike keys, and more semi-precious gems and rocks on either keychains or rings that were too big or small to fit her hands comfortably. While all these stones aren't as powerful as the crystals they mine, they each hold their own special power and can hold just a little bit of mana. Not enough for spells or anything like that. Not that she could do them anyway. She is 5'6" and weighs about 160 pounds without her gear on.

Personality: Tough as nails or likes to think so anyway, Mildred is really no push over. She has a bleeding heart for animals of any kind though and is one of those who will donate her time and money to people who help abused or abandoned animals while dodging the law enforcers for beating up the people who kicked that dog or set that turtle on fire. Even if the animal is trying to kill her, she still will try to find more humane ways of dealing with it. She believes that anyone who can hurt an animal without a good reason, is only one small step from doing it too humans. She takes her job very seriously. Jokes are for after the job is done, not for when you are doing the job and surrounded by danger. She had seen way too many bad things happen where someone did something wrong cause they were too busy saying "two horses walk into a bar..." So hence, no jokes when there is a job to be done. Not that she has much of a sense of humor to begin with though. Just because she won't joke around though, does not mean she would not crack a smile or maybe even make a small chuckle at a joke made by someone else. That person can expect a well meaning punch or glare that basically says to can it until after the fighting or danger is over if she has the chance. Please and thank you. Around animals, she is a lot more playful and lets her guard down, becoming an open book. Around humans...She is a lot more closed off and suspicious. After all, she expects a bear to try and eat her due to hunger, but a human might just eat her for the hell of it. These two sides almost act like a coin, expect for the part where they tend to mix a lot and often the consequences can be...Interesting to say the least. Her temper is a nasty one and isn't too hard to ignite. She takes pride in her work as well and insulting it without a good reason is also another good way to ignite her temper. She loves tinkering with mechanics and such. She could spend all day happily in her lab or in the field so long as she has a tool kit in her hand and some kind of engine in front of her.

Occupation: Exploratory Mechanic
Bio: Born into a working class family, Mildred never really showed strong Caster abilities if you could call what she did Caster ability to begin with. She always liked playing with rocks and dirt (despite the lovely danger of finding a lava pile). Whenever questioned, she said they made her feel nice. As she grew older and started to learn more from her classes and such, she figured out which stones were good to keep around and which ones were better for certain situations. She never could use any sort of the magics and so instead poured her focus into learning about metal works and machines. When she turned 18, she took the military screening and joined up to go on adventures and build wonderful things. Even after nearly ten years on the job, she still loves it and often gets excited over any thing that could remotely be turned into a machine or help out people.

Also, I'll be going overseas at the start of the coming weekend, for about a week. Just thought I'd notify you guys before hand. I'm also very, very hyped to reveal Lightacre and Redloch's forces, though I'm not really sure what would give the former a reason to come down to the Brimstone Gulf.

At this point, our characters will be disembarking and roaming the campsite. Feel free to create locations of interest if you wish. Otherwise, we will be introduced to the Nyx Line.

The Nyx Line is a web of railroads on Brimstone Gulf, believed to be left behind by a civilization of the old world. Most of the tracks are still useful, some of which are built into bridges to bypass the wildlife, weaving over the dense undergrowth and between the bark of the grey ancient trees.

This will be the guy in charge of the operations and who will be speaking to the casters or the head of each platoon, a lieutenant.

Name: Malandrax "Overmind" Grist
Gender: Male
Age: 52
Faction: Steelshire
Appearance: He is a thin, tall man with a shock of white hair; 2.2m tall to be exact. He usually wears a set of goggles which aid his poor vision. In addition to this, he wears a high-collared armoured great coat, always buttoned to the top to conceal horrific scars on the lower half of his face. He wears gloves when not wearing his gauntlets to conceal the scars on his hands and the sensitive red flesh beneath.
Personality: He maintains a friendly presence to most of his allies which may come off as borderline unnerving from the way he looks. He is very prone to making macabre jokes of everyone's eventual deaths which garners an expected range of responses.
Occupation: Caster, Operations Commander, Airborne Division, 1st Company
Bio: His history is not shared with many. He only became prominent during his military career, working in a squad of Casters which were not meant to fight a war but instead to win a war, later revealed to be the Ironstar Project. They specialised in espionage and sabotage. This would lead to him meeting his wife who was the second-in-command of the Ironstar. Then there was that one encounter, after discovering several leads to confirming an actual presence of a faction which called themselves Lightacre, a detachment of the Ironstar was sent to locations which matched the criteria for their appearance. They located the said beings but there was a terrible clash, the use of Arcane arts higher than their already expanded knowledge. Knowing they were bested in their own game, they sought to escape. They opted for the best method, to have a distraction, have their strongest member take control of most of their Warpieces and stall the Lightacre's forces. The majority vote saw through that someone had to sacrifice themselves; and it was that day his wife ceased to exist.

The Ironstar project dissolved and he found himself in his present position to present day.
