Physical Limitations: Can just about run up the stairs a few floors, or walk for several hours, though he could definitely utilize a gym pass.
Style: Casual and cool; he likes what's cool right now and casual at the same time, and there's nothing he loves as much as anime franchise, and though he doesn't really dress like a party animal, he can't be denied a bit of style. He takes care that his clothes are high-quality.
Naruhiko is a quite tall guy, though he possesses the lean built and nigh-translucent pale skin color of a person that doesn't frequent the sunlight-filled areas more often than five times in a year. He does have some muscles, but those seem to be mostly in his tongue and brain, since he's far better with talking and thinking than physical activity. And as if his naturally light skin wasn't enough, he looks even paler by staying inside most of the time. He's got soft, youthful facial features, on the border of appearing androgynous, but he doesn't look like a child. He's got tall cheekbones and almond-shaped, large, dreamy eyes of a vibrant colors, and while lacking a strong and/or pointed chin, he has a sweet smile. His eyes have a bright blue color, in contrast with his deep purple-colored hair. That is cut unevenly (when did he last see the hairdresser?) and cascades somewhere to his ribs, with long, scruffy bangs that fall into his eyes and frame his face, while the rest is bound to a low ponytail on most occasions, or, while drawing, pinned up with a hair clasp, and the bangs are swept out of his face (either by a bandanna, pinned away with bobby pins or swept back with a hairband). He likes to wear comfortable clothes, but cares quite a lot about the quality - baggy and often torn jeans together with shirts and T-shirts form the majority of his attire. He loves to wear T-shirts printed with the images of his favorite characters and will NOT hesitate to take that Death Note T-shirt to a print conference. He often wears hoodies and long, comfortable jackets just as well, having a liking for wearing the hood up, along with large patterned scarves and gloves, or baggy hats. And one thing he's almost guaranteed to be seen with are neon-colored trainers.
- Naruhiko, in cosplay as always! | +
Personality:Likes: Sleeping, drawing, comics and animated series, cosplaying, franchise, his fans, amusement parks, salad, change and excitement, traveling, seeing new places
Dislikes: Press conferences, formal wear, visits to the hairdresser, doctors, insects, when the food takes long to arrive in a restaurant, being pressed to do something/complete a project, nagging
Strengths: A crazily-huge imagination and neverending stream of ideas; original and not afraid to step out of the crowd. Naruhiko gets on with his fans very well.
Weaknesses: Childish and irresponsible; lazy and incapable of taking care of himself all alone. Can't do official tasks without a supervisor and a guide.
Quirks: Getting lost on any places larger than your regular fast-food restaurant and forgetting his belongings at ridiculous times; never dressing right for the occasion. He has a tendency to panic and freak out.
Dreams: His series becoming famous and widely-recognized by people; his fans liking his series; having the best cosplays on cons.
Fears: Doctors, spiders, traffic accidents; no more franchise of his favorite series; someone close to him dying unexpectedly again
Nervous habits: He has a tendency to work at night and enclose himself in a certain place all alone when drawing; he also tends to lose track of where he is currently and thus gets lost a lot. His dress sense is affected by his favorite characters.
Eating habits: He eats little, mostly from the boxes the food comes in and by hand; he doesn't give his meals his full attention unless necessary, usually eating while doing something else. He tends to eat over a long course of time, since he doesn't always keep in mind he's eating, or stuffs his food into his mouth in a breakneck speed.
Speech patterns: He laughs, smiles and chuckles a lot while talking, although he also tends to be a bit theatrical and very expressive when speaking. He has a somewhat high-pitched voice and seems to display a wide range of vocal pitches even in everyday conversations; he jokes a lot and puts up elaborate displays of puns, sarcasm, and theatricality.
Greatest Flaw: Irresponsibility, lack of conviction to serious matters
Greatest Quality: Creativity and enthusiasm
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Turn-ons: Anime cosplays, captivating eyes, curvy (not fat, just curvy) girls, a good sense of humor, confident girls, girls in boots, artistic skill, gamer girls
Turn-offs: Too serious girls, formalwear, plain girls, very skinny girls, know-it-all(s), very flirty girls, make-up overuse, red lingerie (for some reason it disturbs him)

To think that being famous and successful would make him mature is a common misconception. But beware! Naruhiko is a five-star example of an airhead. He's childish, likes to watch animated series and lose his cool at spotting items of his favorite franchise, and wear cosplay clothes on the place of casual wear. He's easily excitable and very expressive. However, he has an incredibly productive imagination and a love for art and stories, which are his passion and which he is greatly dedicated to. He loves the city and its life, and excitement and neverending change is one of the top things on his list of 'stuff I like'. He's confident and not afraid to speak his mind, though he often states the obvious by that, and simply behaves like a ditz in general. Being official gives him genuine issues, just as taking care of himself and behaving like an adult, since he has the attention span of a squirrel unless it involves his favorite anime or a con, and he's also quite lazy and a slob (no, recycling and cleaning are not his favorite things to think about). He has a tendency to leave trash around his apartment and wear unironed clothes, straight out of the dryer. He's afraid of spiders and doctors (the latter more), and tends to over-dramatize the issue if he has to meet with either.
However, he's also quite hard on himself. Few people know how much he presses on himself to complete his goals and aspirations and satisfy his fans; in fact, despite an enthusiastic attitude, he can stress his own self a lot with his own laziness. He isolates himself from most other people, keeping little more than workplace relations, because he's afraid that he might lose them or hurt them.
Attitude towards...Self: Hard on himself internally, but forgetful and lazy, too; he blames himself for most bad things that happen to him, but tries to keep his own stuff to himself. Can't say he doesn't like himself, though.
Others: They're awesome people, especially if they read manga and listen to him ranting about anime and manga and like his cosplays!
Friendship: Always wished he had real good friends, but in fact... He doesn't know that much about him.
Sex: It's unlikely he ever even had a girlfriend... Most likely doesn't have an opinion on it at all.
Love: It must be something amazing... And difficult, too... He fears it a little, but it fascinates him.
Relationship: They're awesome, but he's also afraid of them failing and the ones he cares for leaving or disappearing from his life and him being alone again.
Job: His job is the best thing ever! And he cares for it a lot. It's what he's here for!
Qualifications:University degree in art. Otherwise, he doesn't even have a driving licence for a motorbike.
Important belongings:His drawing pens and pencils would most likely be considered the most important ones, together with the electronics such as his laptop; besides that, it's cosplay clothes, action figures and statuettes of his favorite characters. He even has 2 genuine - though completely unused - armor suits (with kimonos underneath, too) for both Kawakami Tsunayoshi and Seika Mashita, the main characters from his manga, Thousand Blades of Seika Mashita; they're on display in his bedroom. Technically, they could be used for combat, but it's not recommended!
He also owns a metal copy of Zangetsu, the sword of the main character of Bleach, also kept on display in his bedroom.
Important skills:Drawing and writing - as a mangaka, and a successful one, he's bound to be skilled in both, and we'd be lying if we said that he isn't. He can make up a story on the spot quite easily, and can draw it quite quickly, too, though he's easily distracted, meaning things usually take far longer than intended.
Fan approach - not as expected, but Naruhiko is actually quite good with his fans and admirers, and is willing to spend hours talking to them. Not an issue to stay up late at night replying to the tweets of his fans from the other side of the globe, either.
Inspiration - not as obvious, but in fact, Naruhiko has a lot of enthusiasm to share, and will do so. If you're feeling down, he's most likely going to go and give you a whole speech on why you shouldn't be feeling down... And if it fails, he'll buy you a sweet potato.
Background: Parents' relationship status: Not married, but were living together while his mother was still alive
Mother: Tsukatani Suzume, deceased
Father: Izumi Masato, photographer, alive
Older siblings: N/A
Younger siblings: Izumi-Tsukatani Shunko, deceased
Other relevant family members: Iwakura Miyazaki and Chisaki, uncle and aunt, and Izumi Atsuko, grandmother from father's side

The first son of a photographer and an interior designer, Naruhiko grew up in a forwards-thinking, liberal home that wasn't bent on traditions, but instead supported the boy's natural creativity. His parents did their best to help him grow up into a creative young man free of the usual bounds of society. In their beliefs to escape the traditions, his parents didn't marry (hence why he has two surnames). And he was a happy child.
When he was 3, his younger brother, Shunko, was born, and he grew to love the little boy greatly. He was his overprotective big brother - although they didn't always get on that well. He discovered his love for drawing around that time, when he would often pick up pens, pencils or oil paints, and draw onto anything he found (even the walls and doors). Once he started school, his abilities with drawing only grew, and his parents always marveled at it. Especially his father, who quite enjoyed him drawing over spare prints of his pictures.
Unfortunately, at the age of nine, while driving from his grandparents' house, where his family went for a weekend, their car got into an accident (someone hit them from the side). While Naruhiko escaped largely uninjured, Shunko died directly on the place of the accident. Since then, Naruhiko became terrified of both traffic accidents, and doctors. He was deeply struck by the event, afterwards isolating himself from the majority of others, since he was afraid of losing them, too; his classmates always considered him weird, anyway, and thus he spent most of his school years alone. He never had strong relations with his father; even though Masato supported him in his goals and ambitions, he did little else, since he didn't understand his son too well - these arguments just became more prominent as he entered high school.
He went on to an art-focused high school and afterwards an university like that, too. His first successful graphic novel, titled Sun Dust, a story about a couple of high-schoolers accidentally unleashing a mythical spirit, came out when he was 19 - and finished soon after, but it earned him recognition and fame. Currently, it is his second work, Thousand Blades of Seika Mashita, an 'epic tale of a warrior that sinks deeper into the issues of spirits than he anticipated' that is out and printing. And he takes care to show the franchise, mainly the protagonist's outfit, as much as he can.
Two years ago, his mother passed away due to old age of what was identified as a heart failure. Sometimes around that time, he moved out of his parents' house, shortly followed by the turn-around impact the sudden success of his comics had on his life. Suddenly, everybody wanted him everywhere!
