aye aye cap'n!
I mean, yes sir.

btw awesome post Dragoon... Paying for Hirohisa's drink. That's a bold strategy, let's see if it pays out...
and the comparison to someone on the court of a daimyo was more than accurate. His father was one (till he died).

So I bullshitted the end of the history for this one hard but HERE'S ONE MORE

Name: Feng Zhou

Age: 53

Appearance: A strong older woman of Chinese ethnicity, Feng has a well-muscled physique gained from decades of training. She's got an extremely average height, about a head shorter than most men, but that doesn't reduce her strength at all. Her midsection and limbs are all very noticeably muscular. She has a pretty face, which shows signs of age through wrinkles around her eyes and mouth, and has long graying hair kept in a bun. She's got a large scar across her stomach, and a few smaller ones strewn across her body.

Her common dress is a typical monk outfit. Orange pants with white leg wraps, simple shoes, and a single-sleeved orange top. She's taken to covering her midsection with bandages, as well as her exposed forearm. Around her neck, she wears a set of prayer beads, made from ivory and wood. When on the road, she likes wearing a conical straw hat, both to look unassuming and keep the sun out of her eyes.

Personality: Very friendly, laid-back, and pleasant to talk to, Feng has learned to take things in stride and go with the flow. That isn't to say she's dismissive of negative happenings, and in fact goes out of her way to give aid where needed and fix problems that she can solve. She's quite spiritual, and often meditates before and after large fights. She doesn't enjoy fighting, but when the goal is to protect those who can't protect themselves, it's a chore like any other. Outside of fights, she's very easy to hold conversation with, and doesn't seem capable of being angered. And despite her extremely disciplined outlook, she's got quite the sense of humor. Jokes and reminiscing over goofy happenings are common in talks with her, and she's not above good-natured digs at others when appropriate situations arise.

Bio: In her youth, Feng was a monk famous for her connection to the spirits and her ability to exorcise demons. She was well-known for her unique method, which consisted of drawing a spirit from a body, forcing it into corporeal form, and then crippling its body before sending it back to the world it came from.

Over the years, she cured dozens of possessed people, ripping their demons out and beating them until they relented and left. One day, a child possessed by a particularly rowdy demon was brought to her temple, a young boy from Japan. She performed her usual ritual, ripping the demon's soul from the boy, forcing it into taking its true form, and then beating it for hours on end until it began to relent.

However, before she could finish sending it away, the demon used up the last of its strength and forced itself into her. While weak, it managed to successfully bind itself to her soul, but she was not fully possessed. Instead, her strength of spirit suppressed the demon's will, but not its power.

The boy's family was thankful, and once they were sent back home, Feng left the temple to go on a journey. She wished to find someone else who could help her remove the demon from her own soul, as she could not do so herself. Out of spite, the demon possessing her actively sent out 'signals' of sorts to other demons, drawing them to Feng in an attempt to kill her. Hundreds of demons were banished trying.

It took her ten years to find someone who could properly draw the spirit from her, and in that time, she learned to control her body's chi for combat use as a side effect. Their rematch was brutal, and in the end, she came out on top and banished the demon, disfiguring it during the sending ritual. Now freed of its threat, she returned home, and remained there for another decade.

Recently, she has begun a journey to the east, intent on heading to Japan to combat the threads plaguing the country.

Weapons and abilities: Feng uses no weapons.

Hand to hand combat skill: Very quick, strong, and disciplined, Feng is nearly unmatched when fighting without a weapon. Whether through pure force, dexterity, or targeting of weak spots, she can clash with skilled swordsmen and find victory.

Physical conditioning: Feng is in peak physical condition, able to run nonstop for long stretches of time and throw things much heavier than herself. She's grown resistant to pain, but not immune, and has strengthened her bones so they are much harder to break than any normal person's. Getting punched by her feels like taking a steel club to the face.

Kinetic energy redirection: At its basest, Feng can use the ability to block the energy behind a strike from a sword and then use the forge to counter the attack by snapping the blade. As a more extreme example, she could catch a cannonball shot at her, then throw it back with the same force the cannon used to shoot it. The more energy she redirects, however, the more concentration she needs before impact. Blocking blades can be done immediately, and preventing a cannon shot requires a good ten seconds of preparation.

Chi manipulation: As a result of her possession, Feng can directly manipulate the energy of her soul. She can form it into projectiles, coat her limbs with it to increase the strength of her attacks, and form an aura of it that offers protection from magical attacks. The chi resembles blue fire when active.

Other: She adores white tea and shrimp dumplings. Getting her a meal of that is a surefire way to get her on your side.

LET'S GET SOME LADIES UP IN HERE

Name: Izumi Saito

Age: 32

Appearance: The first thing people generally notice about Izumi is that she is ludicrously tall. She is around 6 feet five inches (190 centimeters for you metric nerds) and towers over practically everyone she meets. Once this first impression settles in, they tend to start noticing the other, more ordinary stuff. She is also rather broad shouldered and muscular. Her hair is straight black, and she keeps it pinned up in a loose bun with a pink flower pin. She has sharp black eyes that are a little larger than normal and dark skin, with a prominent nose in her oval shaped face. A small scar is on her left cheek.

For attire, Izumi usually wears a red kimono with an orange flower pattern tied by an orange and yellow striped obi. Under this she wears a hakama with dark red divided trousers and white shirt. She also wears dark brown sandals.

Personality: Izumi is a relaxed individual without a whole lot of passion. It’s difficult to work her up into a deep furor, though she can be annoyed. People tend to think she doesn’t care about what’s going on around her, which is true to an extent- she can be self centered- but she won’t ignore injustices or slights against others. The one thing Izumi truly enjoys is fighting. She prides herself on her fighting prowess, and often times is up for a friendly spar… If you don’t mind her fighting to her full ability.

Bio: From a young age, Izumi was interested in being trained to be an onna-bugeisha, a female samurai. Living in a noble house, her father allowed her to pursue her passion. She trained obsessively, until she was quite proficient in the art of the naginata. However, as she grew (and grew, and grew, and grew) Izumi decided she wanted more training for herself. At the age of sixteen, she set out to find Jingu Shizuka, a woman renowned for her skills as a fighter.

After a year of searching, Izumi finally found her meditating in the midst of the forest. She begged Jingu to train her, but she was turned away. Jingu thought her too proud of her abilities, even though she was far from becoming a master. Izumi, however, known for her persistence, followed Jingo everywhere until Jingu agreed to train her, if she would work on swallowing her pride.

For years, the two worked side by side, and while Izumi managed to keep a lid on her pride for a long time, they met another traveling samurai when she was 21. This man, known as Ichiro Yamada, mocked the two female warriors, declaring that he and his apprentice could easily best them. Izumi, angered by this man, challenged them to combat, and faced Ichiro’s apprentice Shin in combat. Shin was younger and smaller, but was strong and clever. On an ordinary day, they would have been an even match. However, Izumi was blinded by her anger and Shin defeated her, leaving a deep cut on her left cheek which eventually scarred.

Ashamed, Izumi returned to her master. Jingu was furious, scolding her for her prideful actions. However, Izumi exploded in response, and the two got into a huge fight. This was the final straw, and Jingu left, telling Izumi to come find her when she had truly learned to control her pride. Izumi, ashamed, began to traverse the land and battle on her own, hoping one day for her master to forgive her. Many years have passed since that fateful day, and while she still struggles with her pride, she is a much more mellow person since those days. She has heard that Jingu was last seen hunting for Tamashii no Mori. Izumi hopes that by also hunting for Tamashii, she and her old master will meet again.

Weapons and abilities:
Naginata- Izumi is well trained in the use of the naginata, and not many can best her in combat with this weapon. Hers is larger than most due to her height. However, this means that she is often thrown off by the size of an ordinary naginata.
kaiken- Izumi also can use two kaiken, long daggers, in combat, though she is less proficient with them than the naginata.
strength and speed- Partially due to her size and partially due to her training, Izumi is strong and agile.
sight- While Izumi lacks any sort of supernatural powers that aide her in combat, ever since she was a child she was able to see spirits, even ones that are usually invisible. She usually keeps her mouth shut about it, after a few bad run ins with spirits who become angry when confronted.

Other: Izumi can really pack away food. Seriously, don’t interrupt her while she’s eating. She is especially fond of any sort of meat.

Name: Seiko Himura

Age: 19

Appearance: A young woman of slightly below average height and lithe build, with pale skin that looks nearly flawless if it weren't for the scar on her shoulder and wrist. Her long black hair is tied up into a pair of pig tails that reach the middle of her back, her bangs swept to the left side to frame her delicate-looking face with brown eyes. For clothing, her usual outfit is composed of a knee-length gray kimono skirt, a long-sleeved dark top, a pair of leather shoulder pads hidden under the sleeves, and leather gloves with wrist guards attached.

Personality: Seiko is, for lack of a better word, empty inside. She may smile a lot, look cheerful, look mad, or anything along those lines, but the truth of the matter is that she really isn't. She's simply mimicking it, as she really can't feel them. What little she can feel is something along the lines of knowing what she wants, wanting it, and the sheer determination to get it. She does have empathy to a degree, but with her emotions as messed up as they are, she can barely understand what it is on her own. Her current desires can be listed as killing Tamashii no Mori, relearning emotions, and improving herself.

Bio: Originally, Seiko was an incredibly cheerful girl, the youngest daughter of a farmer. While she was playing in her home village one day, screams suddenly filled the air, and flames erupted around her. Within moments, the village was aflame, and she was the only survivor. As she was by any means, a fighter at the time, she was barely could even move. As Tamashii no Mori gave his usual spiel and left, all she could do was lay there and watch as the fire seemed to close in on her. The flames were not unlike the ones that flicked about Sven, however she was not made of the same stuff as him. Flames that tempered and forged him like steel into a sword, making him stronger... Instead made her break under the pressure. She lived, but was never the same. Instead of a happy person, all that was left was an empty shell that felt a desire to kill the being that destroyed her home.
Over the years, where most survivors who decided to take up arms came to the decision to try facing it to its face, she decided on another route. For those years, she learned how to use the bow, how to avoid being caught, how to kill. She chose to be an assassin, instead of a warrior. She decided it would be much smarter to catch it off guard with an arrow to the back, then to take a sword and fight it head-on. As she grew and gained in skill, she had to make some money to eat, drink, sleep, and so on. As such, she earned money using the skills she learned, making a name for herself as a killer.

Weapons and abilities:
Weapons
Seiko carries two weapons. A simple longbow that she carries on her back with her quiver full of arrows, and a plain if battered wakizashi (with a black and gray handle) she has on the small of her back hanging diagonally to her left side.
Style and Element
Seiko's style primarily focuses on the use of her bow, to be blunt. She prefers to fight at a distance, launching arrows with pinpoint accuracy, aiming for maximum lethality. If she must fight up close and personal, she'll generally use her sword to fend off attackers 'dancing' around any attacks, slashing at critical points in the enemy's body with left-handed swings when an opening presents itself. As for her element, it's rather odd, especially in how she uses it. Her element is void, a non-element really. Unlike most who manifest an element in the form of them creating and/or manipulating their corresponding element, her's manifests only as an enhancement for her arrows. If she imbues one with it, the arrow can 'eat' through whatever it hits, making a hole, cutting through it... Basically, making it as if there was never anything there. For an assassin, something like this would be a boon, but as it leaves her incredibly vulnerable against those who have a proper element, it's a hindrance in a fight more often then not.
Thriving within the shadows
Due to her experiences as an assassin, it's no surprise that she is quite adept at avoiding being spotted. Using a combination of her faked cheerful exterior to hide her true self, her skill in sneaking about, and her knowledge of the body she picked up from traveling around and experimenting with live targets, she's not only good at avoiding people figuring out who and what she is, but she can also end targets effectively. The truly frightening thing? She can talk to a target for a half-hour without them realizing what's going on until she strikes, as her face generally doesn't betray her thoughts unless something very much not according to plan happens.

Other: Her real name isn't Seiko Himura, it's instead one she made up the first time someone asked for her name after her village burnt down.

Have a new character as I get to work.
