((that was very pretty Rose, an excellent sense of feeling reflecting what is normally a prey animal. =^^= ))
Kiitani continued, after the deer had fallen to sleep and at last was satisfied that there would be life there still once the evening reared into the sky again. One of the soft grass-woven blankets was placed over Maered and she was left to sleep. Kiitani hurt, and she was tired on a different level then the people and it was this that reminded her what she was and who she was. Wiping a hand over the side of her face without thinking about it she rose from her knees. She was not the only healer here thankfully, though certainly the more powerful and the wounded were few. Now...her attention turned to man. Eyes flicking once more to Raissa and Draekin who had been through so much this night, she changed, and Kiitani the Bird Man stood, dirt and blood spattered, weary, and yet distantly calm and collected. He nodded to them, before walking to the Man.
His steps are strong, his back is strait beneath his cloak of feathers that hang like a mantle, and his eyes dance like the heat of tempering steel. Now that the hurt are tended physically their lasting wounds must be seen too. Here there are many, more than Kiitani can take, and only he can take them, as their mystic, as their connection. He can, after a while share it to the leaders of each of the peoples, for while they were a Great Nation connected they were still all different as Raissa and Draekin are leaders of the wolves there are leaders for the deer/buffalo and elk, a leader for the mice and rodents, a separate leader for the birds. Some of them did not see themselves as leaders, but as stronger voices for the others to Kiitani, and that was fine with him. He would not argue. These strong voices would know, and would help him after this...for his strength Kiitani is still only another Animagi.
His footsteps end before the beaten Man, and he looks down at the once proud cougar and shakes his head. "What pain do you have, that you need to share it like this with the Nation which you could have still belonged? Your soul is twisted and your spirit howls in agony. I see it, She sees it." Kiitani pointed to the wolf left to guard him. "You hurt physically, and mentally." From what the wolves have done to him Kiitani is sure he can not stand and run, at least not far for his legs are a mess, but he needed tied all the same.
He stoops and locks eyes of starlight blue to eyes of brown earth. "What is your name Cougar's Son, and why have you not returned to the Nation once the Cataclysm was done?" Kiitani asks this broken Man, and he expects an answer.
((How do you like the sound of calling them Animagi as individuals, besides just their Animal? Because they are both animal and man in balance. I thought it sounded alright, but it's not just up to me after all
In my head I heard it sounded like this Ani-Mah-Jii with the GI sort of being the longer syllable and stress on the M.))
