The moon cast shadows over the forest, and a gentle breeze played through the clear night air. Shasterah, appearring to be no more than a glimpse of a moving shadow, trotted carefully and quietly through the foliage. She paused to shake out her silver fur, then resumed her steady jogging pace. She loved the night, especially the moon. She was at her strongest when the moon rose to it's zenith. The sound of the rustling leaves and swiftly scurrying nocturnal prey was a soft background noise to the perfect night. After all, most Moon Wolves were at their happiest when night had fallen, and Shasterah was no exception.
She slipped into the shadows, vanishing as quickly as she came into the wonderous free land.
