Ah, that's true.. I think he'll try to get things done but he's not one for causing conflict among allies.

Just checking, are we okay to start once everyone who has shown interest has posted a character bio? (Or is there a lot more to sort out which I'm being oblivious to?) And are we agreed that we'll be doing the second idea?

I'm eager to start too! I think that'll be a good time to start. We could plot a little until then, too.

Oh good, I'm not alone. That's a good idea. I was wondering, if we'll be starting as a already formed group or introducing them all separately and meeting each other? Personally I think it would be more interesting for them to encounter each other as we go along.
That being said, we'll have to figure out how everyone meets and why they all decide to stick together.. Probably introducing the safe haven early on. I'd quite like to start in Inn type of place, perhaps they could start their encounters there or at least hear of the rumour of this other dimension.
Additionally I'd like to discuss whether the 'big baddie' (the reason they're fighting for survival) is a singular person, a corporation or everyone in the world turning against each other. And assuming this is set in a dystopian world, whether it is modern (guns and cars, etc) or, for lack of a better word; 'medieval' (bows, swords, etc). I prefer 'medieval'.

I think they could meet up somewhere, all having heard of the safe haven but Lilu. They could like tell him about it, then while he's opening the portal, trying to get it to the right place, they're attacked, and they just have to go through and hope it's to the right place. I think it would make sense if it was somewhere between everybody fighting, and a corporation. Sort of like factions the inhabitants of the world have divided into that are fighting each other. I think medieval would also probably work better.

Sounds good to me, should work. I like the faction idea; we can do a lot with it. Perhaps anyone who isn't apart of a faction is an instant enemy or something like that. We shall go with medieval then, it makes things simpler. ^^
