So I know a lot of people write while listening to music...but does anyone listen to certain music when writing certain roleplays or even characters?

For example:
When I'm writing my posts for the Suicide Squad RP, I tend to listen to either songs from the movie (like Ballroom Blitz), or other songs that remind me of the Joker.

Recently I've started a Teen Titans roleplay and for that one, both posts and character creation (while I was watching the show) I've been listening to the theme song.

Or, in a Lion King based rp, I've been listening to the songs from Lion King, specifically "Be Prepared", and "My Lullaby".

I'm sure I've got plenty more, but does anyone else do this? Accompany posts with music not just that fits the scene, but also the character?

Oh, absolutely. Setting specific music is definitely something that gets me in the mood for writing in certain things, whether for general mood or specific scenes and such. I'll tend to listen to genres that would be feasibly paired with the genres of whatever it is I'm writing. Beyond that, I'll kinda pick out certain songs of certain genres for specific scenes and such, and have a pretty fair amount of songs that work as 'themes' so to speak for certain individual characters.

I tend to listen to Pagan Folk or Witch Pop when I write. I have a playlist on youtube I let run when I write Deumeawyn.

Depending on who I am writing, or what the scene is - the music will match. For example, when I have been writing my Lord of the Rings posts of late - I will be listening to any of the Howard Shore music he created for the movies, or Celtic music. Same goes for Star Wars - Duel of Fates being a favorite for when I am writing battle scenes or duels.
