Full Name: Black-stripe, the wordsman
Species: Weasel
Gender: Male
Age and Place of Birth: 20, The Scorched Fen
Appearance: 5'4" with White fur and a single black stripe from his forehead and down his back. A simple Burlap Cloak and britches is common attire.
Family: Killed in the plague when he was young
Friends: None yet
Enemies: None yet
Love Life: None yet
Likes: The quiet. Not apposed to company, but the fewer the better. The lute. Poppy seeds.
Hates: Large crowds. Having no control over events happening to him.
Fears: Imprisonment and illness
Strengths: He is a quick learner. Having learned to read through favors in his home town, he has taken to whatever book he can get his hands on and reading it until it's knowledge was his own. However on the fringes of the Mirelands, his selection is notably slim. As a hobby, he has taken to riddles and puzzles, and has become quite skilled at solving both as well as concocting a few of his own.
Weaknesses: He is weak. The plague nearly took his life with his families, but the whim of fate left him frail and alive. Behaves irrationally when the threat of imprisonment is close.
Weaponry and Gear: He carries a simple dagger, but this is more a tool than a weapon. A satchel filled with crude excavation gear for his excursions into abandoned parts of the catacombs.
Training: None
History:Raised the youngest in a large family within the Scorched Fen, Black-stripe lived a rough life in the catacombs, scraping by a living. Many of his brothers and sisters joined one of the more powerful gangs to scrape a living by, but it did offer their family a small bit of protection. His father and mother, weak with age by the time he was born already, encouraged Black-stripe to learn, seeing in him an intelligence. They tried to nurture this by helping him learn to read, and getting him whatever books they could get their hands on.
That is until the plague came. It wiped out his family and nearly took his own life, leaving him malnourished and permanently weak from the illness. Since then, he has scraped by. Working with the gang to eat, he occasionally took a book for himself and secluded himself deep in the catacombs, learning everything he could. He longed to find a way to stop the plagues, the war, the poverty. Finally end the suffering and evil all around him.
