Just a quick introduction before I delve into some RPing. My name is Sam and I've been an avid writer and role player for over half of my life. I have been inactive in the community for the past couple of years due to the inconvenience of being an adult with responsibilities, and am hoping to finally have time to squeeze some creativity back into my life. This is my first time being a member of this site, but it looks great, so I'm looking forward to getting back into things and meeting some like-minded people!

As you can tell if you looked at any of the roleplay forums, we've got a wide range of interests and ideas across the boards so you should find something suitable. I'll point you towards the Member Listings where you can take a look at the "roleplay resumes" of many members and get an idea for what they like and dislike. Feel free to create one of your own to tell us a little about your roleplay self, might just find a writing partner through here.

Before you get in too far, I'll ask that you read over the Rules. Don't hesitate to contact either myself or another member of staff with any questions, we'd be happy to help and set you on the right path.

My inbox and private chat are always open to you for anything you may need. This can range from bouncing an idea off someone, to simply saying hi, and anything in between.

My name is indeed a reference to Lord of the Rings! Not to brag or anything, but my full first name IRL is actually Samwise :) The perks of being a transperson and choosing my own legal name lol. I assume you are also a fan?

I've often considered changing my legal name to Nyarlathotep. Trouble is most people I know IRL don't even know what that name means, and some of them have trouble pronouncing it!

So why Samwise in particular? Just curious.
