No unread posts Indartir

The capital of Atlygaea, Indartir is a focused city, primarily centered around the Queen and her family. Nobles and Aristocrats live in lavish, high rise mansions and rarely is a beggar seen on the clean streets. Money may be made in Tyrition, but it is spent here in Indartir. Royalty and the rich and famous call this city home, and much money is spent to keep them happy and comfortable. All of the fruits of the labor of the citizens are reflected here where most will not see aside from a privileged few. Everything you could ever want or need is here. If it's not, someone will pay whatever price to bring it there as fast as possible.

Although the Queen and her family live here, it is also where most of the government reside as well. The council tries to run the Kingdom, only acting on the will of the queen when she’s insistent upon it, trying to hold to the power they have left. But, due to this council, many things go unnoticed to Her Majesty because no one tells her otherwise. The Queen is often oblivious to the actual condition of her Kingdom.

No unread posts The Coliseum

Holding the Gladiatorial fights of old, with a mechanized twist, this is where any events will be held for the entertainment of those from or visiting Atlygaea.

The arena itself keeps influence of the old, utilizing stone blocks and pillars for the base of its setup. But, where these fights include mechanized machines, no stone would contain them, thusly giving need to reinforce it with metal to keep the spectators safe. Its length is unrivaled by any other structure in its area, the seating capable of housing the entirety of its residency with additional seats for those not from their kingdom.

In relation to the cities, it resides within the outermost limits of Indartir, allowing for the nobles to have an easier time attending.

No unread posts Antea

Antea is, by far, the most beautiful of the five cities, and the closest to the ocean in the northern part of Atlygaea. It's considered the “social hotspot”, as those visiting tend to venture there for the weather, sites, cuisine and cultural items for sale. A plethora of inns line the pristine sandy beach, and a wide assortment of markets line the streets. Being the smallest of the cities, revenue generated by visitors, it hasn't grown far from the coast and is relatively spread out.

Pollution is nearly non-existent here, as it’s the least industrial of the kingdom. People who live here are usually desperate for jobs so gathering and disposal of waste is a lucrative career to some patient people. Shop keepers sell souvenirs and swimsuits, along with a variety of summer fashions. Fisherman also make a living here, but they are few and only supply nearby restaurants with their catch.

Located in central Atlygaea, it is a bustling trade hub of the Kingdom. Large spires tower above a skyline of tall steel buildings and billowing pipes, frequented by large cargo airships and a few military ones as well. Below, markets and warehouses are more abundant than family dwellings, streets are lined with shops and restaurants, always overcrowded and filled with petty thieves and pickpockets; a lucrative job opportunity, albeit a risky one.

People don't usually stay long here. They stop, get what they need and move on, the only ones sticking around are business owners who prey on the naive and morally centered people.

Everything business is traded here. Currency Exchanges pepper the city, and the National Bank is also located here, each heavily guarded and fortified. But the crème de la crème is The Atlygaean Stock Exchange, where most of the business takes place; It’s here that individuals can earn a right to have their voices heard by the council, by the Queen, depending on the wealth and properties they obtain through their trades. The city guards patrol regularly, adding to their already overflowing prison at an exceedingly high rate. But, with the right incentive, they can be coaxed to look the other way.

It’s all about the money in this city, and has been so since its establishment.

No unread posts Namoria

Namoria is considered the "City of Thought". It is home to the biggest academies in Atlygaea. This city has a school for just about everything, but the most popular—and the largest—are the Schola Bellicus and the Schola Lorem Ipsum. The city is somewhat clean and has its share of poverty in the lower levels, but most are well off and live here to either study, or to teach.

The Schola Lorem Ipsum and Schola Bellicus are very close together and work in tandem to often produce inventions for military purposes. It is here that Airships are designed, and produced in Ursius which is close by. Some people joke that the schools are like standing a soldier at attention next to a dancing hippy, because Bellicus is so straight laced and stringent unlike its Lorem Ipsum counterpart, but other schools consider them of higher prestige as the entry requirements unmatched.

Namoria is considered the moderate level of wealth; People here aren't poor, but not very wealthy either. Many Miners of Ursius have their families in Namoria, only able to afford a simple lifestyle.

No unread posts Ursius

Ursius is a city many only speak of when questions are asked. The most industrialized city of the five, they produce majority of the Kingdom's minerals and coal supply. It's a dirty city that smells of coal, sweat and blood.

Miners work in harsh conditions and paid a meager salary, doing what they can to provide for their families. Often workers are exhausted and some even get hurt or die without their foreman noticing because of the sheer number of workers moving about. It's hard to keep track of everything going on and efforts are made to make work safer, but accidents still happen regularly.

The pampered aristocrats in Indartir never bother to ask or even wonder where all their lavish possessions come from…However, the people of Ursius think they are contributing to a thankful and thoughtful society, blissful ignorance often contributing to their work ethic.
